In the middle of demolition, immediately attached structures are actively having a wrecking ball get rid of old sections. No evacuation of guests and internet does not work, only their wifi which has no internet connection.

Reasonable price in excellent location. Staff and hotel cleanliness is "okay". If you can live without luxury, this hotel would be a good choice.

Eccezionale”
For the price and the location, this is a great hotel. The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bathroom was wide and the beds comfy. Not so many options for breakfast, but it's doable. Excellent location, within walking distance to the City Hall, Opera House, Notre Dame Church and other attractions.

Affordable but not expect a high level of services”
Being centrally located within D.1, its room rate is arguably one of the lowest. Room size is comfortable, TV - HBO and other screenings are OK. Breakfast (food + drink) used to be bundled at $50,000 but now apparently subject to itemized billing - which makes it not quite competitive against eating out. Apart from the receptionist, most other staff have limited fluency in English - so do not expect highest level of services... basically - just appreciate that room-rates is still one of the lowest with D1 central...

Kim Phuong Hotel : Affordable but service needs improvement”
Kim Phuong is my preferred choice, - for many years- being very centrally located within D.1 . It used to be affordably priced (and still is..) - the afternoon-session receptionist does a great job, interacting with guest with a ready smile. However, other staff's services needs improvement. Breakfast (noodle plus a drink) used to be at VND50,000 but is now separately billed for the food and drink - and at such rates, I'd rather eat out at other nearby outlets.

Requested to change into 2 single bed on the second night. However counter staff request me to pay extra 60USD / night. Whereby this price i can just simply book another new room. When this is being told to the staff, the staff replied me impolitely to book myself separately online then.

Centrally located along Hai Ba Trung in the District 1 city-center , it offers ready access to Ben Thanh Market, shopping malls and lots of eateries. Breakfast include choice of Continental Meal - bread and butter, or Vietnam Noodles (soup or fried) and beverage - coffee, tea or juices at a nominal Vietnam Dong 50,000 (abt US$2.50). Strong wifi signals with routers installed in room - which is fairly spacious. Hotel staff is friendly, informative and helpful . It is also arguably the lowest room rate once can get - within the city center... Well recommended to all !

Beware of the night shift people charging extra. ”
Were told breakfast were provided for free. But still end up need to pay. Night shift staff was rude. Attitude cannot be tolerated. Overall cleanliness of room were good for the price being paid. Central location with nearby place to drink and 24hours convenience store. Nearby a 5 star hotel with Casino that we can go gamble at.

Hotel needs attention”
We had a prolonged stay at the hotel,the staff were friendly,as it seems family run. I think the management are to blame with their cost cutting,several times the power to the floor failed and when a major power failure happened to the whole street,which is quite common in Saigon.The hotel had no emergency lighting or generator,this resulted in a guest being stuck in the lift.they need to sort these problems to become a viable hotel. Thank you.

Nice cozy hotel ”
Hotel is a bit dated however has good facilities and great location. Backpacker Street is only a 5 min taxi or bike ride away which means you're always close to all the action but when you come back to your room its nice and quiet. A lot bars and restaurants nearby like Apocalypse Now, Blanchy's Tash etc.

Location is really good, but for the prize we paid we expected something better. Room with no window. Toilet sink not in really good condition. Nothing to do with the photos you see
