Exceptional”
This is truly an exceptional hotel - every detail has been carefully thought out with light switches, plugs and a pin sharp immersive 55 inch screen TV in front of the very comfortable bed. I requested a soft pillow and there was one waiting that night. It is clean and quiet - like being in your own apartment with a rainshower, a/c that actually sets itself correctly (never guaranteed in many hotels) and friendly housekeeping staff. The location is wonderful with dozens of restaurants nearby in the heart of a vibrant city. It helps that the hotel only opened in Dec 2018 - everything feels modern and is finished to a high standard.Very highly recommend staying here!

Great location and comfortable stay”
Stayed here for 4 nights in Jun 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was a very comfortable and good sized room, and very value for money, given the central location - just next to Hardware Lane with many cafes, and a 5min walk away from Myers mall, H&M, and many tram stations. Only downside was that parking was pricey at $60/night (multiple exits), and that they only do housekeeping once every 3 nights. But not too much of an issue. Re parking, there is another option to park at a public carpark at 200 Queen St (5min away from hotel) and the hotel has special rates at $35/exit. It isn’t the nearest hotel to the SkyBus at Southern Cross Station, but we managed to walk and take a tram to the station - got there in 20min on well paved roads with our luggages. Overall a fantastic stay and will definitely recommend.

This hotel is situated nicely in the CBD and near big malls. Ideal for the business traveler and vacationers. I enjoyed the hotel amenities and comfortable room. Lots of thoughtful details woven into the place as well.

It is located at the heart of CBD so you can just walk around or use trams to get away from the city's traffic. They only had valet parking though. But overall the hotel was superb!

Overnight trip in Melbourne CBD”
We needed a big room for one night in Melbourne CBD. We booked a King Deluxe room. Perfect for two adults and two kids. Our kids slept on the couches and had plenty of room. Buffet breakfast was delicious.

This is a relatively new place and it is very nice. The rooms were spacious compared to some other Australian hotels, and the staff was lovely! The location is in the CBD, with easy access, close to the Central train and bus stations, lots of restaurants, and very enjoyable.

Clean room, good layout with a little couch area, comfortable beds and TV with Chromecast function are many of the good things about Novotel Melbourne Central. If they can have another mirror in the room, besides the only one in the bathroom, everything will be perfect!

This was the 3rd hotel I've stayed at in Melbourne and the one with the best location. It's a 10-15 min walk from Southern Cross Station, 8 min walk to Queen Victoria Market, 10 min walk to the major shopping malls and 15-20 min walk to Flinders Station. The best part is that Hardware Lane is just round the corner and the cafes there are awesome. The hotel does not have a swimming pool, which isn't a big deal. Do note that it is difficult to catch an Uber or taxi on Little Londale as it is only one way. The water pressure in our shower was weak and there weren't any slippers. But I really appreciated having an ironing board and iron in the room. The deluxe room was very spacious, even the bathroom. I enjoyed looking out from my 34th floor room and made use of the chromecast on TV to stream videos from YouTube. We had a great sleep throughout our stay. I definitely recommend staying here.

The reception staff Chole received us warmly. We have updated to the 34 Level deluxe room which is nice and spacious. We are celebrating our 35 anniversary for a weekend escape. She offered us 4 drinks in the bar but we only used two. The bar staff was a young man who was very efficient and poised to offer wonderful service!

Excellent Hotel at Prime Location”
Hotel has very good amenities/service (reception/concierge). Rooms are clear and has all necessary amenities. It is located very near to Central Melbourne. Takes you less than 5 mins to malls such as QV Melbourne, The Strand and Emporium.

Great staff but slow service”
Room was great, new, clean and a lovely touch of some chocolates on arrival. When we arrived the tablet that you use to order room service etc was not working properly, and took over an hour to have replaced. Room service then took an hour to arrive, half an hour more than was indicated. Food was yummy and reasonably priced though and the second night came promptly. Two nights in a row the kids meal came without the icecream that is supposed to be part of it and I had to ring to ask. I had to ring twice to ask for a notepad and pen that hadnt arrived after an hour but the staff were lovely as usual. Was great to be able to chromecast to the huge TV! When I booked I had searched for hotels with a pool but I didn't double check and this hotel did not have a pool - but that is an error in the searching function and my fault for not double checking. Overall a great stay with just a couple of small let downs that I would not expect for a hotel this price. These things could easily be rectified to make a great stay an excellent one!

Novotel is within 5 mins walking distance from the tram station at Elizabeth Street as well as Melbourne Central station for tram and underground. There is a Asian supermarket next door make it easy for purchase of food/drink. The hotel is new and well facilitated. I especially like the bed side lamp, it is attached to the bed board, able to rotate 360, just push back for light off. However, if you are travel for business, maybe should book a bigger room as mine does not have a proper desk

I needed to travel to Melbourne for work and was presently surprised by this hotel as it was booked at the last minute and was extremely reasonable price wise. This hotel is near brand new and shares the same building with the budget Ibis Hotel. Rooms were not the biggest rooms around but were extremely comfortable with great looking fit-out. I would highly recommend this hotel for the business traveler or weekends away. Great atmosphere and staff.
