Good for Seychelles standards (poor value for money in general - way too expensive)”
Little nice boutique-style hotel with only 10 rooms. Best choice in Praslin if you don't want to stay in a 100-plus rooms resort or self catering... Enormous rooms: Very comfortable king size bed, a couch, a balcony, a walkin dressroom and big bath room. Nespresso machine and water cooker with complimentary tea and coffee. There is also a fridge that you can fill with own drinks (little supermarket across the street). The pool is nice and the beach view too. But the beach is full of seaweed, you can't swim there (at least not in the beginning of May). Offered shuttle service to Cote d'Or was not working: rent a car, you'll need it: best beaches on opposite side of island (Anse Lazio is nicest, but very crowded). For a five star you have to ask for everything, example pool towels. Restaurant is alright, but overpriced. Breakfast is good. Staff is friendly but lazy (except cleaning stuff, there really good) and not up to standard. Unfortunately this is common in Seychelles
Great place to start your honeymoon”
It was the first hotel for our honeymoon in Seychelles. Views were breathtaking. We had our room in first floor, which was a great choice. Pool is also nice, so were the amenities at the hotel. Highlight of our stay there was the 3 course breakfast, truly amazing. Definitely recommended.
The perfect honeymoon”
We spent our entire honeymoon at Petit Amour and decided not to move from hotel to hotel, island to island and we are happy to have done so. We felt like guests at Michel’s and Jon’s house (the two owners), it was a very personal experience unlike any big hotel or resort in the Seychelles. They truly want your stay to be fantastic. The villa is located on top of the hill at 100m elevation with breathtaking views over Beau Vallon and the ocean. It’s a sporty climb to walk up, but you can also take a taxi or rent a car if it’s too much for you. There’s a supermarket open every day and a bus stop down the hill, and sunset beach is also a 10min. walk from there. We enjoyed the amazing breakfast with fresh local fruits and a choice of dishes to follow (and with local vanilla tea). You can also choose to have dinner or cocktails in the villa in the evening. Shortly, we’d highly recommend this place.
Amazing villa and amazing host. We loved our stay. Will definately come back
Staff made our stay perfect - attention to detail, personal service and recommendations invaluable. ”
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by Jon, Michel and all the staff - they went out of their way to make our stay perfect and nothing was too much trouble. It is their passion for the place and care of their guests which makes this hotel such a successful place. The setting is beautiful - I was put off when booking that it wasn't right beside a beach, but the amazing view and peace and quiet at the villa is worth the walk to the beach/town. Extremely comfortable beds, amazing shower, delicious breakfast that filled you up all day, a quiet, peaceful setting and hosts that go out of their way for you - what more can you ask for? We were only on the island for a few days, so their local knowledge and advice with car hire/beaches to visit/directions etc ensured we got the most from our stay. A lucky find - I would definitely return. Thank you so much.
Highly, highly recommended! Michel, John and their staff are absolutely amazing.
a bit disapointing ”
we went to the suite and it is defiantly doesn't worth 550+ dollar per night!!!
A little paradise”
Petit amour Villa is a little paradise with excellent service and very friendly owners and staffs. Rooms, breakfast, dinner, service during the day were very good. We had a phantastic time in this hotel and be thankfull, to stayed there. Location is great, we loved the view over the ocean. It was good, to have a car. Mahe is an amazing island, to come back every day from trips in the villa, was like coming home where best friends are waiting for us. We will come back, thats sure!
Perfect Boutique Hotel”
It was absolutely perfect!! Great!! Fabulous!! Impressive!! And so on!! We are so lucky to be there. Hotel situated on top with great sea view. But if you don't have a car it's not a problem because of all in this hotel is for you. Just relax. Perfect breakfast. Amazing design. Friendly. Like come back home. Very recommend. This is the pearl of the Seychelles. One of the best hotels I could ever imagine. Thank you Michel and Jon and all the staff for the hospitality!
Great place with few things to improve to excel”
Great stay with few things to improve: given the locationa rented car should be included in the staying, dinner was just ok and breakfast could be more varied. However given the kindness and its tranquillity, this villa is a place we would recommend
amazing stay and incredible hosts”
Good. The hosts are kind and polite and willing to help you. The only thing is the location of the villa is on the mountain so you gotta climb all the way up if the hosts are out and can't carry you up by their car. But others are very nice.
Amazing hotel - wish we had stayed here all week.”
Amazing - Gorgeous views of the ocean and mountains, amazing food, attentive and friendly staff, and great rooms.
Wonderful stay in a peaceful paradise ”
We had a lovely two nights stay in the Petit Amour Villa as part of our honeymoon and loved every bit of it! Views were stunning, all the staff were fantastic and the villa had a very romantic atmosphere with only a handful of guests due to limited room number. The villa must have the best sunset in Mahe if not in the whole Seychelles! We ate both nights at the villa and found the food delicious. The dinner menu changes every evening.
A superb, personalised stay!”
We had a superb stay (not long enough!). Michel and John were fantastic hosts and made our stay extremely enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to escape from the pitfalls of a large hotel - this was a personalised stay where attention to detail made our stay so memorable. We loved it in every way!
Our stay at this luxurious villa was amazing. Jon and Michel have amazing hosting skills. The attention to details is exceptional. From cleanliness, food, wine, internet to caring for guest ( in all aspects), these guys know how to make the guests feel at ease. If you are into big hotels and big crowd, this Villa is not probably for you. But if you want to have a quiet and relaxing holiday where you become the centre of all the villa staff attention, then you will love this hotel. It is especially good for couples and honeymooners. Thank you Jon and Michel for looking after us and for so many wonderful evenings ( with good food, wine and chats)
Not worth the money. No real privacy”
We booked a berry room. The room was very small - app. 16 square meters. No safe box,no Mini Bar. The room was situated in front of the swimming pool, therefore everybody who was in the pool area could directly look to our bed. So we had to close the curtains all the time. The main problem was the way to the bath room. To go there you had to pass a corridor which was open to the main lobby. Only a small paravent was placed that people did not use our bathroom, but everybody could see you if you pass from the room to the bath room - I have never seen this in a so called five star hotel. When my wife asked for a solution the owner told us that they plan a door in the future, but now there is no solution "it is like it is " was his reply. You absolutly need a car to reach the beaches or restaurants. The dinner in Petit Amour is very expensive (660.- Rup. per person). It is cheaper to go to the top restaurant"La Scala".In summary really no five star hotel, not worth the money.
Nice and quiet.”
very nice hotel”
Not far from Beau Vallon and right at a mountain top which will give you a very nice view. Joh will give a free ride if you want to go to beach. They updated us to a premium roon due to our honeymoon. The breakfast is also very nice. They also have a nice swimming pool.
