Not worth of the money”
They don't have adapter for the room . Also they don't provide the hand towel for the second day we stayed.
Great location, quiet off the main road. Rooms are a bit out dated and needs attention/upgrade.
Le Vondome terrible hotel”
This hotel is not up to modern standards. Room has coffee/tea station without coffee/tea. Bathroom shampoo bottle 1/4 full. Complained never replaced. Towels look old and dirty Wallpaper patches falling off Worst coffee in a hotel. Not sure if it was supposed to be tea or coffee. Collegues room not even cleaned. Arrived back (after 6 pm) bed not made no towels.
Sopra la media”
The rooms smelt really bad. The smell was coming from the bathroom although I couldn’t make out exactly what it was. It ruined the stay.
Wow the staff are amazing .they went out of their way to assist they had not received my booking ”
The manager phoned agoda to get my booking details as they did not receive it. Although i didnt get the room i booked they put us in their newly renovated room with a slight sea view. It was awesome to see the sunset and walk down to the promenade. Thank you for this awesome trip. It took my mind off all the stress Currently our branch is closing down Thank you for your staff being so efficient and helpful You all are stars. All the best and we wjll vist again
Housekeeping and breakfast ”
We requested some items from housekeeping which never came to the room. Breakfast was not up to scratch for the price charged and really not worthy.
Great location, great staff, but sometimes lacking attention to detail. ”
Room service hit and miss, ie half ordered meal arrives; housekeeping can be hit and miss. Ie, fresh towels but no toilet paper.
Worst experience. Wouldn’t recommend it to nobody. Aiden not helpfull. Special thanks Jerome”
Terrible staff except for Jerome at the restaurant. Never had a visit from the maid. Aiden at the front desk kept telling us he was taking care of thing. Gave us free breaskfast, wasn’t real, the staff there was not aware. Far from city. Terrible experience
Everything was good. But the people next door noisy. Didn't tie in to our anniversary, disturbances.”
Its a beautiful classic hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Just the people next door was very annoying. We wanted some quality time for our anniversary but the noise level was too much. Overall we enjoyed our stay. And the anniversary touch was much appreciated and too sweet.
Though it a great hotel in terms of property, the staffs are almost usless. They are miser in providing Room accessories, soap, milk, and coffee. They react very very slowly. Food is not diverse enough to suit all, only Porc and beef sausages
Rooms are old and need updating, no hot water, rude staff. Would not recommend. Much better options locally for a similar price
Hotel staff were excellent could not do enough for us. Met the Hotel Manager who went out of his way to make us feel welcome... will definitely use this hotel again.
Pros - location. Cons - Check in took two hours. No toilet rolls in bathroom on arrival, faulty lights, bath didn’t drain, no coffee sachets in room, breakfast hit and miss with service. Tired, dated decor. Definitely better quality hotels in the area.
Photos and reviews looked good but we were very disappointed. We were met at reception without a smile and hastily booked in. Our room stank of cigarette smoke and the cupboard couldnt open. I complained but nothing was done. After an hour I went back to reception. They were very irritated but gave us another room. We came as a couple and now had 2 single beds. We did not complain again. This cupboard door did not work either. TV had 3 channels. No lace curtains - our neighbors looked directly into our room. Kept dark curtains closed the entire tiime . The worst was the Reatuarant. We asked for Room service. The lady came with a menu and then told us. We are currently out of stock of almost everything on the menu. !!!! Her exact words were -so sad , youre out of luck. We ordered 2 sandwitches. All round a huge dissapointment. Wont ever be back and will NEVER pay for a room without seeing it first.
Do not book”
Breakfast service and selection was 2/10, no back up generator came on during the the power outage. No back up lighting in the stairways during this time as well. No cable TV for the 3days I stayed there and to date no call from the duty manager since or any refund.
Our rooms A.C was not working, our food was delivered an 1h30mins after ordering & it was wrong.”
The hotel is beautiful and the staff are great, but we had a room with no airconditioning and our food order was 1h30mins late and the Nespresso machine didn’t work as well. Upon letting the front desk lady know about this, they then told the Manager who simply didn’t care. Instead of apologising, he/ she said they would give is a complimentary late check out, which was bull because we had already requested a late check out and nobody had asked for us to pay or the rate for a late check out. Very patronizing to tell you the least! Upon our return to the room, it had not ben made up, bed still a mess, food still lying on the table as we’d left it in the morning. Shocking I tell you, shocking!!!!
Very beautiful location, you can smell the ocean and the hotel is just off a gorgeous promenade in sea point. Staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Opened my window when I came home late at night and the calming smell of the ocean water filled my room. Unfortunately the reason I was forced to open the window in the room was because the room itself stunk of old stale cigarette smoke and my bathroom which had no windows, just an extractor fan, had a foul smell that I could not identify. There was little attention to detail in the bathroom, for example a tissue box with no tissues in it. The smells in the room and bathroom were disappointing and the room service wait for just two bottles of water was far too long. This let my stay down at an otherwise beautifully located hotel.
It was a good stay the breakfast was not up to hotel standard I am use to.”
The room was not clean they send us up too. But the manager made it up too us by upgrading us too a suit witch made our stay a 100 time better
Sopra la media”
Rooms were very dated and in need of major maintenance and some TLC. Shower did not drain, toilet was leaking, draw was broken and bathroom door lock was broken.
Pleasant one night stay in a quieter city location”
Stayed here on a one night layover in Cape Town. It was raining for most of the time so we didn't explore the area much, though the Radisson is just steps away from the sea front and the sea point promenade! Just round the corner there's a rash of eateries, from mid range Italian eateries to takeaway. About 20mins away from the airport in light traffic, and we easily made it there for our morning check-in. Breakfast is the standard continental and hot food range. Pool wasn't open at the time, due to the water crisis but that's really a minor thing. Think we'd stay here again if we were to be in Cape Town for a longer period and want to avoid the more expensive and touristy V&A Waterfront and malls? The area around the hotel looks pretty residential with condominiums lining the street.
