Vista spettacolare ... ”
Hotel di alta qualità, struttura ottima e posizione eccellente. Ristorante sublime...
Staff was friendly and helpful. The view is great, location is isolated but great for peace and quiet. The hotel is about 30-40 minutes drive from Ubud center where the shops and some tourist locations are. The hotel can arrange a free shuttle service for this, just tell the staff at the lobby what time you want to leave the hotel and return from the Ubud center.
Fantastic hotel, ordinary food”
Superb hotel, located on a cliff edge overlooking a river in a very quiet location. Infinity pool is spectacular. Staff excellent, rooms superb, ambience marvellous, restaurant severely below par for the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately the chef and food are a dissapointment ....
Much greater than pictures”
Everything is perfect! Spacious room with amazing forest view. Infinity edge pool overlooking moutain and river. Attentive and professional staff. Complimentary shuttle bus to downtown Ubud. Definitely come back soon.
Lovely villa and nice resort”
Our villa was lovely, with large bath and big private pool overlooking the jungle (the pictures don't do it justice). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a free massage and the breakfasts are huge! The shuttle bus is good and key if you want to get out the hotel/explore Ubud (without paying for taxis). The communal pool seemed nice although we didn't use. There were only a few communal sunbeds, but perhaps the other rooms had their own. Ubud itself is nice - very touristy, but that means lots of food options, shops, things to see/do. Great visit.
Hidden Gem in Balu”
It was a memorable holiday. The place was very quiet and peaceful. Very good for rejuvenating far from chaos in the city! The staff are awesome, polite and helpful. Although the hotel is a bit old but the whole hotel has it's own character itself. Felt like you're in Greece.
Secluded, peaceful and quiet with great views. ”
The resort is very peaceful, far far away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud Central. Views are amazing. We only saw one other couple on the 1st day and 2 other couples in 2nd day. Not much people. Were able to enjoy the infinity pool all to ourselves. Staf were friendly and helpful. If you’re planning to hire a scooty, there is no place nearby. However, the hotel provided us free shuttle everytime we requested. Breakfast was alright. If you’re a peace lover and want to enjoy some tranquility, this is the place. I really didn’t like the interior of the room. Otherwise, everything is alright.
The most amazing hotel we’ve been at!”
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Everything was absolutely beautiful, clean and super friendly staff. The pictures on the website does not do the hotel justice, it’s even more beautiful. It is located in the “jungle” though so there will be animals such as lizards, bats etc. But not in any of the rooms of course, we didn’t mind it at all though, they were kinda cute. They also provide free shuttle bus into Ubud center which is a huuuuuge plus since it’s a bit tricky to get there by yourself. I would recommend this hotel to everybody if they visit Ubud! Thank you Rijasa with the staff for amazing 3 nights.
Quiet & peaceful retreat place”
Beautiful & peaceful view but it’s far away from the centre about 30 mins by car. Suitable for those who like enjoying the quietness. Friendly & helpful staffs.
Nice resort, could be quieter”
This was our second time staying here, this time we didn't find it as peaceful. Pros: -Couple's resort -Attractive room -Secluded mountain views -Older male house keeper very helpful -Reception lady was helpful -Horizon pool -Nice gardens Cons: -Food menu needs improvement -Breakfast Restaurant staff regularly in a group telling jokes and laughing very loudly and we couldn't hear each other speak (not good for a retreat) -Some restaurant staff were regularly watching us eat (not good in Western culture) -One of the male overnight reception staff, struggled to make shuttle bookings due his poor understanding of English, this required alot of my patience and I ended up booking a cab to our Jewellery Workshop. -Two female housekeeping staff were regularly yelling out orders to each other between the floor levels and woke me up from my sleep early. Great scenery and excellent service”
Location might be out of the way but there is free shuttle bus that can be arranged with the counter. You can see the mountains right out of the balcony, the view is so great! The service and food is also excellent. Love the infinity pool with a breathtaking view
The view is superb! Best view in ubud! ”
Really good view! OMG ESPECIALLY the room wif jacuzzi. Really great food from the restaurant, i wonder who is the cook, superb cook! Quite far from the ubud central, but the hotel offer me free shuttle anytime i want, quite impressive! And free minibar too, a bit shock to hear free minibar when i arrived. Friendly staff. Elegant hotel! The infinity pool is awesome! Can hear people rafting below the ayung river! Tq for providing me a room wif great view of the river! And view from the top room really take my breath away! I shall be back! Im promised!
Staff are good and welcoming. Location is far from the city but will have shuttle to drop you there. Very big and clean room, toilet, balcony. All are big. View from bcony is breathtaking. Specially early morning with the amazing fresh air. Incredible stay. So peaceful. They did not charge us for the last day shuttle when we go to the other resort. Thats a great service they did to us. Thanks to all
Stay there for 2days , i love this place , every room has it's balcony with the Ayung River view , you can see ppl rafting from the top ,, quiet place a little bit far from the crowd ,, the food is nice ,, i ordered pizza & chicken steak ,, the room size is quiet big ,, the swimming pool is amazing ,, in summary i love it and definitely value for money ,, hope it helps
Fabulous location on the side of a gorge with a river running far below. Quiet and isolated but fantastically beautiful place. The restaurant is adequate but could be better. Not many guests outside of the high season. But what a contrast to crowded Ubud.
Last resort left reminding one of Pre-Chaplin Ubud Bali”
There was only one hotel, Inna Bali, when Charlie came in 1932. Ubud today looks far different from scenes in his private video of that tour. Amazingly, Rijasa retains much of then Eden charm - overlooking Augung River, rice terraces, lush greenery, mountain in the horizon. Being built in rural Ubud helped, the resort's boundaries along the high cliff reminds you somewhat of Indiana Jones in Temple of Doom. All said, it is a shame that the occupancy rate is 20% that in Ubud Centre's hotels. Management should try halving the room rates, campaigns etc. After all, a wonderful structure had been built over much more challenging terrain, it really deserves a decent load of guests to prevent that effort going to waste.
In love with this place the moment you stepped in to the lobby, the view catches your eyes right away! We stayed in 1 bedroom suit with a private pool. MUST stay in this room when coming here because it is so worth it! The food is average but nothing beats the view! So relaxing
Amazing scenery makes up for a tired hotel . ”
Not sure exactly what score I would give this motel. Every time I go to down grade it the memory of the view and the peaceful soroundings brings the score back up . Ok here is my suggestions to turn this good motel into a great one ! Get rid of the run down unoperational swim up bar in the pool and the run down garden opposite and put some timber decking and more sun beds so guests can hand around that amazing pool . There was about 7 or 8 sun beds that were always taken and mostly in the shade . The beds were not beside the pool but down stairs on the next terrace . Too few a sun beds for such a big resort . The shuttle bus .....with reading all the other reviews we were under the impression it was a shuttle bus on demand ( not the case ) you had to book 1-2 hrs in advance ( however twice I tried to give them 1-2 hours notice and they said no shuttle was available for 3-4 hrs ). They need a set time table with the bus running in hourly and back 1/2 hourly . At least you can plan you day . Then if no one puts their name down for the bus it doesn't go that hour . SIMPLE!! The resort is a good 20 if not 25 mins out of the Ubud CBD. Scooter is the only way to really enjoy a stress free stay there. Wi in rooms ---- basically there is none . Wi fi ( despite any reviews ) was at reception only. The rooms - SIMPLY STUNNING ! Big, clean, fresh with a knock out view. The tranquility however was ruined by the screams of the white water rafters below (all day long) . Breakfast everything you need , room service a bit dodgy !!
This hotel has one of the best views. From rooms and the amazing infinity pool that overlooks the green Valley. They have a free shuttle bus to and fro to ubud palace, available in demand and booking. Although the hotel is a bit old, it is fairly well maintained. The size of the room is great. Must stay here for at least 1 night to enjoy the views.
