Take the all inclusive deal ”
Pros: -location was gorgeous, the beach was stunning. -rooms were beautiful and well furnished -all inclusive meant alcohol was also included which was a huge plus as this can really add up. - staff were awesome and made the stay really enjoyable. - spa is not included but is worth trying out. Cons - food was mediocre throughout our stay. - the “exclusive” restaurants booking system allows for booking 24 hours prior, which means you’re never going to get a booking on your first day. We had to book on Friday for a dinner on Sunday, which isn’t bad but for an all inclusive hotel, it seemed to be creating unnecessary hype for something mediocre. Again, food in the Carnivorous restaurant is also average.
Best beach hotel in znz”
All inclusive best we found on Nungwi beacb
Loved this place! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful location! Clean. Great food!”
Absolutely loved this place! The staff were so friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived at the reception area to the dining, pool, bar and housekeeping. They were very helpful when we discovered a problem with our flight plans. There was a great variety of food and it was all good. I enjoyed the entertainment at evening meals. We enjoyed the pool activities: volleyball, water aerobics, Jenga. There were many areas to relax with plenty of seating from the pool to the library, game room, and spa. I’ll miss this place and definitely recommend it to all my friends!
Gem in Zanzibar”
After a hectic period at work, my friend and I were looking for a holiday destination that was all inclusive with everything under one roof. We were not travelling for tourism. And Riu provided just that. I would not say home away from home because it was more than home. We had great food, great entertainment especially with Ali for morning aqua aerobics and pool volleyball, evening spectacles and relaxing rooms to go back to after a day of playing hard. We met wonderful people from all corners of the world....... Eduardo, Lara from Spain, Paul and Natacha from Germany and Gergana and her husband from Sofia......they were the topping on a very delicious cake. I would love to bring my family here unfortunately they do not allow kids. Adults only hotel. I highly recommend Riu Palace.
Lost important belongings”
We requested to have late check-out, but due to fully bookings it was not possible. We understood the situation, so we just checked out at 12 and used the spa facilities (which are not private by the way, so taking showers are not recommended). Unfortunately we forgot our charging station on the table which is impossible to miss actually, but okay.. our bad. During our stays in other hotels we would ALWAYS be notified if there were any left behind items when the cleaners checked and cleaned the room. Our room was (according to the reception) already needed for the next guest, but no one notified us that we accidently left our important items in the room. I find this very unprofessional as we were still in the same facinity until 6pm.
maldives quality at a third of the price in zanzibar”
amazing hotel. worth the spend. great deluxe studio. perfect holidays
My Stay at Hideaway of Nungwi Resort and Spa”
From the moment I walked into this hotel I felt very welcome and at home, the staff at this hotel provide one of the most humbling, welcoming and peaceful experiences I have ever seen, from cleaners to the manager they go out of their way to make sure that you enjoy staying at this hotel and would want to come back. Most hotels struggle with WIFI signals, the WIFI at this hotel is super fast and always on 24/7.Their rooms are the cleanest,I enjoyed the African Theme Dinnner on Tuesday nights and the Gala Dinner on Friday night, both Gala dinners host perfomance by dancers and or Live Band, the food is also tasty.Special mention to the following good people Yunus,Ghosh and Lucy Thank you.
Loved the place! Amazing place for the value. Staff at the restaurant very friendly!
I've been there for 3 days , the staff is amazing they assisted us from the beginning on everything, the food is good , the entertainments as well. the swimming pool has a wonderful view on the beach and the beach is like a paradise, something to don't miss , the Sunset !
Exellent place for holiday”
nothing was missing.
Holiday with kids”
Very relaxing, just becareful with reception staff that take advantage on your arrival and sell you lousy expensive trips with their friends before you know what's happening. I found that very inappropriate. Lovely living area, very expensive drinks but pleasant staff at the bar will keep you at it😀. Nice dinners, they could do better at breakfast. And need to improve quality of dessert.
One of the best hotel experiences of my life!!”
It was Brilliant, we had an excellent time!! The rooms were highly luxurious and rich! and the view from every room was just spectacular, the food was delicious and fresh . A must visit in Nungwi or Zanzibar .
Foof can be better”
We were very happy and the staff made us welcome, but the food variety is not so great apart from the Gala dinner and the Zanzibar dinner. The breakfast variety on milk and cereal was very limited. they ran out of skimmed milk as well as all bran flakes. they need to improve on their display of food especially breakfast and tea. the eats for morning and afternoon teas were mostly pastry and sandwiches leftovers from breakfast.
Worst Food Choices”
Not 5 star standard”
Disappointed with quality of the food, it was not 5 star standard. Service was very poor, staff could not fulfil simple requests I.e getting a drinks order etc. would not return on this basis as you are paying 5 star prices for 2-3 star service and food quality
5 Stars is an absolut overrating for this hotel. The size of the rooms is ok, the cleanliess perfect but choice of foot in the restaurant is poor (i.e. never got fresh fish) and very repetitive. The white wine never was properly cooled and the requested ice bucked never delivered (reason: we don't have enough ice). The japanese gourmet restaurant was a total deception; we decided not to try the Carnivore after that experience. The so called 'kids club' is a joke as there is no equipment for kids and therefore no attractive activities; mainly sitting in front of a big TV-screen .... The very limited offer at the boutique is completely overpriced (sunscreen for 20 to 30 USD, hair conditioner USD 75 at the spa..... All in all, there are much better alternatives in Zanzibar
relaxing and fabulous”
Everythng I wanted and more. Amazing!
Nice hotel but sort out the food and flies!”
We stayed for 2 nights last weekend. The actual hotel itself is superb but the food is poor for a 5 star resort and they have a MAJOR problem with flies to the extent that you can't eat your food without being driven to distraction.
Un séjour de rêve ”
Une équipe au petit soin avec une nourriture riche et diversifie. Une plage de rêve au pied de l'hôtel. Les chambres sont très bien ėquipé et très spacieuse.
