A trip outside of the city...in the city”
Beautiful rooms. Like a photography studio. The deck overlooking the water is small and very relaxing at sundown. Go out to eat at one of the many restaurants not far from the hotel, must take a motorbike, bicycle, or call a cab. The respirated is very quiet at night. It feels like I am in some place that I had to travel far to get to. Only issue is is that the finding the place is difficult for taxis from district 1. Have the resorts telephone number handy so that they can give the driver directions

Thank you River Cottage staff for an exceptional respite. The views of the peaceful Saigon river along with the beautiful room with private patio and outside shower (stunning) was just perfect for my stay. The food was delicious too! Overall fantastic experience and one I will recco to all my local friends wanting a weekend staycation!

Staffs were very kind and helpful. We checked in kind of late but they still welcomed with a big smile. Room was wonderful to us, loved the decoration so much! Only one suggestion: pls have flip flop in room, it'll be perfect.

Hidden Gem”
The River cottage is hidden down the end on a lane in District 2. It has a great deck over looking the Siagon River. The rooms are very good and the staff was great. There are some very good bars and restaurants within walking distance.

We live in Ho Chi Minh City, but wanted an outing without having to face the hassle of flying. This beautiful resort was just an hour away from our home, and was very relaxing for us. The deck on the Saigon River is very beautiful and quiet.

Lovely hotel in district 2 ”
Lovely hotel overlooking the Saigon river. So quite and relaxing, feels like you are in an Island. Very nice and friendly staff and great food. Highly recommended and I would definitely come back next time visiting HCMC.

I returned here for the 3rd time as its such a great place to stay , the staff are absolutely fantastic , and the rooms are brilliant , with the biggest comfy bed , an easy stroll to all the restaurants and bars of District 2 and a short cab into District 1 , the in house restaurant is great too and sitting on the deck next to the river is a lovely place to be , I will be back again

Instead of leaving the city, I enjoy some beautiful moments of calm at this comfortable and friendly hotel in District 2. Great for a quick break from a busy schedule, for a change of scenery from high-paced Ho Chi Minh City. The rooms are well-decorated and comfortable, the setting is surprisingly natural - perfect for a romantic weekend.

I don’t really want to tell people about it because it was so fabulous. Some other reviewers have been critical about the fact that the food is brought in and not prepared at River Cottage but this wasn’t a problem for me. One - the food was great. Two - it comes from Snap Cafe which is a two minute walk away. Snap is also a really nice place to go and eat! All in this was excellent. For HCMC it was remarkably quiet as in it was actually quiet (on Sunday morning). This city is always noisy and that Sunday morning was about the quietest I’ve experienced since I’ve been here.

I chose the Riverside Cottage because I was looking for a quiet place to do some writing. It turned out to be a perfect choice. Located right on the riverbank amidst lush green trees, this place feels like an island. Everything is tastefully decorated with attention to detail, the staff are very helpful. I could hear some noise from the ships' engines, but used ear plugs and it was fine. Neither the hotel, nor the area (Thao Dien is full of Western restaurants and popular with ex-pats) really feel like Saigon, though downtown is easily accessible by motorbike/taxi and abut 20 minutes away.

River Cottage is a wonderful place , its peaceful , stylish and a great place to stay , the staff cant do enough for you and being in District 2 its surrounded by great bars and restaurants , also a short cheap hop in a taxi to the bustle and madness of district 1 . I have already booked a return

River Cottage is a very comfortable and peaceful accommodation in busy Saigon. While River Cottage is not at the centre of most things that interest visitors, especially first timers to the city, it is an easy taxi or Grab ride to District 1. Ideal for those who have a few days just to relax and enjoy all that is available in District 2. Nice rooms, garden and great views of the river.
