Old time charm”
Exciting experience for our daughter to spend the night. Cottage was clean and spacious. Hot breakfast selection was luke warm. Staff need some training. Still a nice experience though

Royal hotel”
This is a nice place nestled in the mountain with lovely views and friendly people. The only thing I can recommend is a TV and Wifi in the room and to look after the placecas maintenance of the doors, windows, gutters, taps, baths, toilets, and plugs is direly needed.

Royal Hotel at Pilgrims Rest”
Great stay. Loved that they put the heaters on before we came. Made it nice and cosy. Extra blankets were a blessing. Peaceful night with the family. Would recommend this place to anyone. Restaurant food was delicious.

Not what I expected ”
The room isn't in the hotel, but down the road with no secure parking. The heater wasn't enough to warm the room and it was extremely cold.

had a great stay at the royal hotel on easter weekend 2022. Very friendly staff including the front receptionist she made the stay so pleasant. Great breakfast served in the morning at the restaurant and the bar is very reasonable with their prices. I would definitely go back

This place was amazing i wish they also had full house rentals so i can bring the whole family but everything there was just amazing even staff and management had a great stay thank you

Stepping back in time in Pilgrims ”
We are happy we stayed as we wanted to revisit this old hotel. It is however looking a bit tired and needs some TLC. It is still worth a visit but do avoid the barman. He is not friendly and makes up his own prices. The other staff were friendly and helpful. Bring earplugs as the pipes are old. The ribs and fish were delicious. Do check your change and make sure you always tip the staff directly.

I am so impressed with the effort made to uphold the impression of an era of 150 years ago. Even the kettle and mugs are put away in the cupboards that gives you an experience Of what it was like to stay there 100 years ago.

Travel to the past”
It is a special place to stay if you enjoy history. The town has remained largely unchanged for hundreds of years. You get to experience what life would of been like back then first hand. The hotel is super. It is a museum in itself, it was very clean and the staff were lovely. If you need wifi in your room or facilities like swimming pools and fine dining this destination isn't for you. However it is a very unique experience and i would definitely recommend it l.

Wasting of money !!”
Having cost saving project at a hotel? really? then say goodbye to the customers..they didn't change the sheets .. the room was dirty and smelly . water quality was poor ... at check out waiting half an hour for the receptionist !! spend a bit more and go to a proper place.

Nice hotel in the centre of Pilgrims Rest”
We arrived at the hotel and there was some confusion relating to my Agoda booking as it had actually been booked through booking.com by Agoda. I was unsure as to whether Agoda had charged my credit card (as they normally do) but the receptionist at the hotel insisted that the hotel does not pre charge credit cards therefore I had to pay when checking in. The hotel room was clean and functional and had bags of character from days gone by. We enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked an extra night, the breakfast was a buffet style and was good quality.

Un village rien que pour nous ”
Nous avons passé un agréable moment dans cet hôtel. Le cadre est simplement génial et les professionnels de l accueil et de service de qualité. Malgré que nous étions les seuls dans l hôtel (ce qui est quand même domage), les professionnels n ont rien négligé et nous avons eu le même service que s il était plein. Le dîner servi dans le restaurant de l hôtel était bon et le petit déjeuner très copieux. Les cottages sont propres, très spacieux et confortable ! Ils laissent place à l imagination de l ancien temps. Néanmoins le chauffage n était pas suffisant pour nous réchauffer ! N hésitez pas une seconde .. allez y !

Todo bien. Aunque el WiFi solo era accesible en las zona de la entrada. A la habitación no llegaba. Nos dieron garaje para guardar el coche sin coste.

Mooi koloniaal ”
Echt een hotel uit de oude tijd, hele leuke sfeer. Het is de moeite waard om de weg van down-town naar up- town te lopen en de souvenirzaken te bezoeken. De kamers in het hotel zijn prachtig. Het eten is een buffet, nogal toeristisch......... Een overnachting hier is echt de moeite waard!!
