Lovely resort ”
Sand Dunes is a beautiful resort, with everything you need! The pool overlooks the sea and has adequate sun lounges with umbrellas! The pool side restaurant is a lovely place to watch the sunset!! We were given an upgrade to a deluxe room with a partial seaview, it was well appointed and had 1 of the softest beds we'd slept in during our 3 month trip touring in SEAsia! A special mention to Kloy on reception for your friendly manner and helpful information, nothing was too much trouble! Also need to mention the poolman come allrounder who was always smiling and friendly!! Unfortunately I don't know his name! Would definitely stay again if ever in Chao lao beach!

This is probably the best hotel we have stayed.perfect staff and comfortable room and great facilities. Breakfast has a lot of choices ranking from Thai to western dishes. Very enjoyed with infinity pool with sunset, this is remarkable. Finally, thank Khun Sawitree for good care of us.

Good location with a nice beach ”
The staff was friendly. There was a large seminar group during my stay. It's a bit noisy before 12 am but the staff told us in advance and said sorry. As our room was at 8th floor, the noise was not too loud. The beach was nice and clean. The sea was very clear - good for swimming. Sometimes there were banana boats from nearby places. A bit noisy but acceptable as the number of the boats were not too many. The swimming pool was too shallow by the way - mostly 100 cm depth with partially 120 cm. Not good for full adult swimming but good for the children. The breakfast was so good - delicious and loads of choices. Worth the room rate!!

I'm so happy for staying at this place. It's located at Chaolao beach and so many facilities provided. The beach is very nice and clean. I will be back here next time for sure!

Good for my stay”
Pros : Location is not too close to busy area but not too far either. Room is clean and swimming pool is great with the sea view. Staff is friendly and helpful b/c we stayed in the building that is quite far from the beach. Tips, if you want sea view and close to beach room, ask for family Deluxe Corner room. Breakfast was also good with variety of food and multinational types. Cons : beach is rocky so you have to be careful while strolling around. We stayed at 8th floor and upper is the air compressor station which made loud noise all nights so we barely slept. Also, window seal in our bathroom was torn out and they used tissue paper to plug in the hole which looks quite unsafe and we have to check whether any hidden Cam or not. Summary, Apart from the cons mentioned above staying at Sand dunes is quite good for us.

Brilliant but let down by a basic error”
This would have been a full 5* review but for one major mistake. The hotel is fabulous. Wonderful position, friendly attentive staff and excellent food. The room was comfortable with a brilliant shower. So good was our stay that we decided to stay an extra day over and above the two nights originally booked. On the third day, however, our room was not cleaned or serviced. While the hotel was very apologetic this fundamental error let the property down. For that reason alone what would have been a 5* review is reduced to 3*. Notwithstanding my comments though the hotel is great and you should stay there as I suspect our problem was a one-off.
