Great stay! ”
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the manager of the accomodation who showed us the room and the rest of the hotel facilities. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were in a very tidy and clean condition. Each morning, Rike, the manager asked what our plan for the day was and offered some advice and suggestions. The breakfast was very delicious. Would definitely recommend this accomodation for visiting Boulder beach and as base to explore some of the surrounding areas. Cape Town is approx one hour drive away. The hotel isn't actually in Simon's Town, but just outside. So you will need a car or taxi to grab food in Simon's town.
Superb guesthouse for exploring the Cape peninsula ”
We had a great 3 night stay at Simonstown Guest House. Our room was lovely with great sea views and the facilities were excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked . But as with all good establishments it was the lovely, helpful staff that made it a delightful experience. Would love to come back again some day.
Very friendly and professional staff. Beautifully decorated, and what a view!
Very nice location, keeping in mind it is a short drive from other more touristy areas and from restaurants. Best to have a car. The view of the ocean from all the rooms is fabulous and I enjoyed a morning walk each day up and down the hills. It was like being in San Francisco. The staff and owner are all very nice and helpful
We had 5 great nights and breakfasts at Simonstown Guest House. The only drawback of this place is the location relative to restaurants, as you need to get a cab or drive. However, we didn't regret staying down near Simonstown rather than nearer to the city centre, as it meant we got out and about and saw more of the Cape as a whole, and there are great restaurants, beaches, etc not too far away. Breakfast was great in terms of both quality and quantity, lovely fresh fruit salads, fresh bread, cooked breakfast and scrummy chocolate muffins to polish it off! Lynn (manager) and Amanda (owner) were both really helpful and chatty. The room was really spacious, the bed was really comfy, great TV choice, and the bathroom was very stylish, modern & clean. Great views of the ocean too, and plenty of space to park right outside. A shame that you can't look at the view while eating breakfast, but you can ask to sit outside on the terrace instead.
A BnB with a great view overlooking the ocean”
our stay was short, due to a flight the next day, but what a nice BnB to stop over at. We really enjoyed it, and would come back without a second thought.
Wonderful guesthouse - luxurious yet unpretentious”
This is a great little guest house, where we were welcomed like friends. The room was very clean and had beautiful furniture. It had everything we needed and more, from wireless internet, tea and coffee making facilities (with delicious gourmet cookies), a very well-stocked minibar, a small lounge area where you can sit on comfortable chairs and look at the ocean (we even saw whales from there). The service was great and the breakfast outstanding. Besides the things you normally receive in other guest houses (hot breakfast, cereal, bread, jam, cold meats, etc.) we were served a delicious Fruit salad and offered freshly baked muffins. The tea selection: 8 (!!!) different varieties to choose from, is just one example of the care that is put into every detail here. Overall, this is definitely one of the best guest houses I have stayed at - ever!
cozy, comfortable, friendly”
