Friendly staff and great location”

Spent 3 days, 2 nights at Sirena and had a great stay! Thai and his wife are fantastic hosts and were very accommodating-- they allowed us to check in early and check out late, showed us around the island and were always available when we had questions. The resort is within walking distance to the beach and the bungalow we stayed in was very clean. I would absolutely recommend staying at Sirena Resort!

Overrated stay ”

We stayed for 9 nights during the Lunar New Year. The first thing we encountered in our room was a toilet full of really big ants. I didn't notice them until they were walking on me and it was terrible. The owner seemed reluctant to believe us, but when he came to our room and saw them himself, he sprayed the toilet with poison. We had to ask to move to a different room - he didn't offer it himself. In the second room we met cockroaches twice and having travelled a lot in Asia, this is a first. The breakfast is not really anything to brag about. It is not a breakfast buffet, but they make you what you want (there is a menu, but they couldn't make everything on it). Two mornings they forgot our order, one morning there was quite a lot of eggshell in my omelet and yet another day when we had to leave early, there was no one to make breakfast before 7.45am even though breakfast is supposed to start at 7.00am. Some of the guests helped them to prepare the breakfast as we had to leave before 8.00am. On the booking site it said that there was a restaurant, but apart from breakfast, we never saw any menu or anyone eating there or anything. Most of the time there was no one there.Their chocolate/banana pancake was good, but they used way too much fat to make it, and sometimes we had to wipe the pancake before eating it. There is a swimming pool, but we never entered it as it was disgusting. It did not seem as they properly cleaned the pool while we were there. It was full of garbage in the bottom and dead insects on the top. The question was also who was supposed to clean? The only staff for the first week was only the couple that owned the resort. We furthermore did not get any room cleaning the first week - only after asking for it two days in a row, we got our first cleaning. After the Lunar New Year a few more people came to work, though, but it didn't change all that much.

Both owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. Nice furniture inside. Pool is small but clean. Oh, and they have adorable cats and dogs, the owners are pet lovers.

Clean, good value, very nice owner, some faults”

Our stay was generally exciting, the rooms are really good value, prices are comparatively low, the owner from Belgium is very nice. But his wife and the other staff have only poor english skills. And there's no beach belonging to Sirena. The beach is some 300 m away, and so you have to look around were to find a sun chair at another resort at the beach which is no real problem. Breakfast is basic. Tip: go for breakfast to another place.

Friendly staff, not good service ”

Staff was very friendly but the customer service was not there. The night before checkout, we had to repeatedly try to get our passports back, and were told to wait an hour while the lady finished doing miscellaneous housekeeping. We were also told we had to wait until the morning to settle our bill. We were leaving the next morning at 7:30, so we wanted our breakfast at 7, which i'd say is standard operations for a hotel, and we were told "No, we can only serve you at 7:20". So their inability to accommodate our early departure was frustrating as my girlfriend didn't have breakfast, and I had to run out the door with a friend egg on a piece of toast. Additionally, there were two nights where we were startled awake by rats running around on the ceiling, which we initially thought were in the room. Our stay was overall decent. Rooms were nice and new. We had an overall great stay on the island, so the sub-standard accommodation was overweighed. We thought the hotel was a little overpriced in comparison to what you get in other areas of Vietnam. So, if you're looking for a midrange hotel, don't mind rats and poor service this is it.

We liked this hotel very much: really comfort and big room with everyday room cleaning, high speed internet and very friendly and helpfull owners. Great thanks to them for a nice garden and hotel's atmosphere. I will recommend this hotel to everybody who prefer short walk to noisy beach view.

Lovely guest house”

We spend 5 night here and loved it. We liked the fact that it is not far away from the city but the distance makes it a quiet retreat. Unfortunately it does hot have a beach view, but you can certainly get over it because the beach is close enough. The owners are a Belgian man and his Vietnamese wife and try to take care of their quests as good as possible. It is quite obvious that she handles everything, keeps the books and will not give you free rides, but is just as strict with the staff and they are always helpful and nice. The bungalows are new, well taken cared of and very clean. Would be nice to put some nets at the windows and perhaps the sewerage system would need improvements, but nothing to be really disturbing.

Nice rooms”

Lovely place but slightly odd set up. We wouldn't really minded any of the things if we'd known beforehand. You only have hot water when it's been sunny, the electricity supply on the island is not continuous, there is a generator but it isn't always used when there is a power cut. The breakfast isn't a buffet we were given omelette and toast followed by some fruit which was nice but not great if u are a big breakfast person. They cooked us lunch and made us a fruit shake and they charged us a lot for it, we felt a bit ripped off really. The man who runs it is very nice and we really enjoyed chatting with him and he took us to show us the nice beaches. Overall not a bad experience just might have enjoyed if more if we knew what to expect.

Lovely small place with lush greens”

we enjoyed this small place which is a bit off the beach, but with easy access to it. The owner couple is friendly and always up for a chat especially if you speak french. It's in a good central location along Long Beach, so at night theres nice food places or bars in walking distance. This place just opened about a year ago, but has a lovely garden to chill and the breakfast is simple but always prepared fresh. Their homemade pho is also to recommend. This is a good place to stay if you like to explore the island with a motorbike rather than just staying at the beach the entire day.

Peaceful n enjoyable”

It was a nice experience for us in Phu Quoc. The Resort is suitable for those who want a peaceful place for enjoying the nature. The resort does not have private beach but with 5mins walk you can enjoy the pure water and beautiful sandbeach. The breakfast included in the room rate was not many to choose but just fine and clean. The owners of Sirena are very nice and friendly. I love their cats (Mina and Minu) and dogs, they are very lovely.

1. Conflict between agoda booking and the resort: we booked 3 rooms but they just got 2. 2. Ceiling collapsed at night with load of water. My clothes got all wet. 3. Unprofessional attitude of owner and staff

Mauvais accueil, chiens et chats encombrants, aucun professionnalisme, prestation qui laisse à désirer . Ce n'est pas un resort, mais une guest house pour routards endurcis.

le sirena est un hotel ouvert récemment, dont le personnel est encore en formation mais totalement à votre écoute et très sympathique. Les chambres sont faites quotidiennement mais à des horaires parfois fantaisistes. Les patrons parlent le français et cherchent toujours à vous aider. Une piscine est en phase d'achèvement. Cet hotelbien qu'en bord de mer n'a pas d'accès direct à la plage, il faut ruser pour entrer dans les resorts en face ou se déplacer en moto pour trouver d'immenses plages désertes très agréables.
