Abbiamo prenotato un soggiorno di 2 notti ma per motivi di salute non siamo potuti arrivare per le date richieste. Il personale senza problemi ha spostato la prenotazione tenendo valido il pagamento già effettuato con Agoda. Dopo 2 notti siamo stati via 2 giorni per un tour e avevamo chiesto di tenerci una stanza al rientro. Abbiamo però trovato un trasporto notturno e non siamo potuti rimanere per la notte aggiuntiva. Il personale, Hue o Sophie in particolare, è stata gentilissima e tranquillamente ci ha detto che non c'erano problemi. Ci ha anche offerto di fare una doccia prima della partenza, senza chiederci niente, nemmeno per aver tenuto i nostri bagagli durante i 2 giorni di tour. Consigliamo vivamente questo hotel per la gentilezza e disponibilità del personale, la posizione a due passi dalla via dei backpackers ma leggermente fuori per non essere disturbati dal rumore. Stanza piccola ma con tutti i confort che un hotel di questa categoria può avere (acqua calda, aria condizionata, frigorifero,...). Decisamente un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Ci ritorneremmo.

ci siamo appoggiati a questo hotel solo per una notte, ma ci siamo trovati molto bene! camera spaziosa e pulita, personale cortese, prezzo ragionevole, posizione buona, anche se resta in una viettina che nn noteresti neanche! comunque siamo stati bene!

Stanza piccola senza finestre al 4o piano ( che per via dell'ammezzato diventa il 5o) senza ascensore. Alle 11 chiudono tutto, per rientrare bisogna suonare il campanello: riaprono sempre, ma per me é una scocciatura. Colazione un po' misera in piú l'ultimo giorno l'abbiamo chiesta take away causa volo alle 9 del mattino, ma nonostante ci abbiano detto sí, la mattina la colazione non c'era. Buona la posizione

Cannot fault this hotel, everything was perfect. Staff: all staff were helpful and spoke a good command of English. Minh always went above and beyond my expectations when problem solving my queries. Location: strategically situated close to all the nightlife of bui vien and street food, but far enough to have a good night's sleep. Ample street food vendors around to tickle your taste buds Will be happy to return and can highly recommend it

For a budget hotel, they provide all your basics (towels, toiletries, bottled waters). Staff was beyond helpful and friendly, especially Ms Eloise who replied to all our requests and questions promptly! She even got our contacts on fb messenger so we can reach her anytime we have a problem. Location is great if you're thinking of exploring the backpacker street Bui Vien which is a stone throw away from the hotel. Room was exactly as pictured, it was super clean and had a very cosy vibe. Toilet was clean and bigger than I was expecting. Breakfast was great, you only have 6 options though so it might get sick of it after a while. Really enjoyable stay in Ho Chi Minh! It was a comfortable stay in Madam Cuc 184, despite our room being at the 3rd Flr w/o the lift, it was compensated by the very clean, well-maintained and cozy room. The staff, especially Leng was very hospitable and efficient. She speaks and understands English well, and goes the extra mile in helping us with all our needs (taxi to airport, tour to Cu Chi Tunnel, and even the money exchange into Vietnamese Dong. Hotel Manager terrible & non-flexible manner ”

My mother in law suppose to come to VN to join my wedding 15 Sep 2018 but unlucky she got heavy trouble with her left hip. I called to hotel few time but they seem ignore. Finally they answer me after few time trial & ask for Doctor paper to proof although I told them I will send them proof conversation between me & my mother on Viber & her cancelation flight ticket to Vietnam as Dr. don't issue paper yet...They don't even listen. I'm felt very sad as my mom can't join my wedding but she made me felt extra worse like hell without any sympathy. People made rule people can change rule so pls. be flexible & more human to solve any case.

Payment system messy, I was booked online and choose to settle payment by credit card for my whole trip there (total 3 nights), but I got a email from Hotel after I booked it and they said "we have charged the rental fee for the first night from your visa card as a deposit to ensure that your are going to come , so that we could keep a suitable room for you. And that means you have already made the early payment for the first night, later on you just need to pay for other nights left." Total amount for 3 nights is VND 1,249,361 (average is VND416,453.67), but they charge me at VND430,000.00 (USD18/night) for 1st night. but then now, they said it is USD21 for 2nd night.....totally not the same price with my booking. Also, it is didn't mentioned no window of the standard room in Agoda's website. Late reply for the inquiry. Feel bad and not helpful service they provided. Wifi is okay only, not very good network!

Probably the only problem you'll have is locating the signage of the place itself (it's bunched together with the signs of two other places) but otherwise, everything was great :)

Eccezionale”

Unfortunately (not due to the hotel) there had been a booking issue and our room wasn't available on arrival, however the staff arranged and escorted us to an alternative hotel around the corner at no charge and they assured us we could check in early the following morning. The room was modern, clean and very comfortable with all amenities you may need in a good location. I was unfortunate enough to have caught the flu on the flight to HCMC and so spent a couple of days bed bound, the hotel staff showed care and concern and we extended our stay so I could recover.

We had requested a room at lower floors but they gave the one at the sixth floor and there is no elevator. And the window was between room and the corridor, so we couldn't get fresh air. Breakfast, internet, cleanliness all good.

Worth for money”

This Madam Cuc 184 is more like B&B type. I have a standard room and the room is super smal, just enough for a couple with small size, as for caucasian, I will not suggest to take standard room. The only person that can speak English is the boss daughter, keep a lookout for her if you need help. At night is very safe as this hotel, they will close and lock their gate to prevent any strangers or call girls to enter to the premier and disturb their guests. They also provide breakfast BUT really simple home cook breakfast with no other options, moreover everyday is the same !! Imagine you been earing the same breakfast for 1 week ? Very good location for roaming around in HCM Q1 and with this value, you get this standard which is consider pretty good...

This is my 2nd time to book madam cuc 184 and as always, this hostel never failed to provide the service I expect from them. The receptionist and the other lady that runs the hostel are very nice. The breakfast was also more than sufficient for 1 person. I always couldn't finish the whole meal provided :). The hostel is just 2-3min walking distance to the famous backpacker street Bui Vien. In addition, the hostel is very quiet at night and very clean. I will book again this hostel in the future. :)

Good stay”

Clean, quiet, bright, comfortable, and remodeled rooms, lots of really hot water, what more do you need? The hotel is in the backpacker's district and close to many convenience stores, restaurants, cafes, travel companies, etc. The hotel is tucked in an alley so it is away from the street noise / noise from bars. And the hotel is shoes-off so the rooms stay clean. A good place to stay in HCMC.

Disappointing. Worse Experience.”

Pro: The room is old but clean. Furniture is old. The bathroom has been repaired. Shower is good. Cons: No amenities in the room. No soap, no shampoo, no toothbrush. I had to ask the receptionist when I wanted to shower. No real blanket there. Just a sheet of fabric. One thing i am really annoyed was I couldn't take my Vietnamese go to my room. Just went in, not to stay overnight. The receptionist said that it was the regulation in Vietnam. Hello?? I have been staying in dozen of hotels in Vietnam but this is the ONLY hotel that not allowed to bring guest to my room. I wasn't stay in a dormitory! In a nutshell, not recommended at all. With the same price range, many better options nearby.

Friendly staff”

I traveled with my mom. The room was clean and quiet but very small. No lift and our room on 3rd floor. Luckily, the staff helped us take out bag up to our room. Free breakfast when you can get omelet, bread, and Vietnamese coffee. The staff was really nice, friendly, and helpful. She explained how to go to Cho lon and Ben Thanh (take bus no 1) and also where to take the bus to mien tay (to go to Can Tho). You can walk to ben thanh, it's around 20-30 min. I booked the tour to Cu Chi there. The tour was cheap and fun.
