will never book there again. very misleading
We had no hot water, the bed had sand in the sheets, you have to plug the ketle in a plug on the floor, very dangerous if you have small children. some windows was missing curtains. The basin in the kitchenette was not sutable to wash diches in. Somewere a drain was blocked, there was a very bad smell. And at 23h00 some lady geusts was having a party and made al lot of loud noise. There was no eksta blankets, only the duvet on the beds. It was a cold and rainy night. Luckly we had eksta blankets in the car for the kids. The place have alot of potencial to do better. Management is needed.
OGODA AND HOTEL RIP OFF
Great view and 10 minutes to the beach ”
The noise level of the children by the pool was unbearable :(
Not a Boutique Hotel”
This is rater a guest house catering for bigger families. The rooms are equipped with a lot of beds but is not done in a stylish manor. The maintenance budget must be overspend as well as in both rooms i had there was a lot of things that needed attention. Pricing is good and centrally located between Durban and Umhlanga.
There is a potential for noise there based on the set up. There were people arriving mid night and were quite noisy.

It's a gem.”
I would most definately go back. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and Zodwa is an excellent host. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
They were renovating and it carried on till 12pm. The shower cold water was broken. Extension leads ”
Basin tap loose. Workers outside the room by 7 am. If I knew there was renovations to the premises, I would not have booked there.
Sopra la media”
Check in desk closes at 7pm. If you pitch up late, you left waiting at the gate because the staff member on site is sleeping in his room at the back of the property. This is not a boutique hotel.
Pathetic , phone line from 5pm was taken off the hook. ”
Worst experience. We drove from PE in order to attend a funeral we requested a late check in I tried calling several times the phone lines were engaged. We arrived around midnight. Luckily a guest gave us a cell number even though we called no one bothered to answer or assist we had to find alternative accomadation. The following day I tried to contact them again and again I smsed the call number and they refused to refund me. Pathetic
Well worth the money spent, staff was excellent.”
A team of action cricket players of approximately 25 or so also stayed at the establishment. We could not sleep in late as they were noisy, and our room was close to the breakfast area, hence they sound carried through like piercing shrapnel. Also, the sound of cutlery and cleaning of plates could be heard distinctly.
Tariman Boutique Hotel ”
My stay at this hotel can be summarised as follows: 1) Pros: Good location; Reception was quick and helpful; Room was nice, and as per my request i.t.o. being on an upper floor and quietness; Great cleaning staff, especially Bongiwe. 2) Cons: Identity crisis i.t.o. of either being a BOUTIQUE HOTEL or B&B; No signage is displayed to help guide the guest to the exact address; No contact numbers is provided either on booking website or on the email confirmation from Tariman Boutique Hotel; Toilet cover and seat has black marks, this looks unsightly and lacked the new user seal that is normally attached to toilet; Shower area and drainage area looked unsightly, it could do with a clean-up and straighten of the drain cover; The chair at the table was congested and almost impracticable in term of use due to it very close proximity to the bedside table. Despite the cons, I think they can be easily remedied so overall my stay was okay and would most definitely look at staying there again.
Not baby friendly and poor guest management”
My husband and I were there for 3 nights with our 7month old baby. Despite the fact that I notified the place that we are with child, we were placed in a room with no bath, which made it impossible for me to bath my baby. When I asked for a room with a bath, nothing could be arranged for us. Secondly, there was a group of people who were there together, and for 2 nights in a row, they threw parties with unbearable noise levels which made it difficult for us to sleep and to get our baby settled. Considering that management lives on the premises, I find it hard to understand why consideration for other guests in the place was lacking. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place for a family. It probably suited for people who want to party or for students.
The venue was perfect and the stay was pleasant ”
The location stood out. The only recommendation for improvement is on the variety of beverages. The availability of beverages was a down side for me. Overall experience was good.
The place is not bad, but the only thing that annoyed me was the noise levels coming from the bar area that went on until early hours of the morning. Its a B&B so I expected breakfast include in the price.
Worst place I've stayed at”
We had a family emergency and needed a place to stay, I found this place online and booked it. On arrival the lady at the reception desk was very unfriendly and rude, she could not answer any of my questions and said the manager will come see me which never happened. After checking in we went out to get food, when we got back the main door was locked, we had to use the intercom at the gate to get hold of maintenance to open the main door for us. The man that came to assist did not have a key himself and had to phone the guest who had a key that had locked the door to unlock it. I find this very unprofessional how some guests get keys to the main door whilst others don't, what happens in case of an emergency like a fire... The room was a five sleeper however there were only three cups, glasses and plates in the room, the milk was old which made us sick. The towels were dirty it had hair and stains in it. The bathroom door creaked and kept jamming. Definitely not value for money.
Poor management of noise levels”
My husband and I stayed here for one night. We were satisfied with the guest house's facilities, however we did not get much sleep due to rowdy guests next door and below us who partied on until early on in the morning. Management did not do anything to control the noise levels until my husband called and complained at 3:45 am! Very disappointed...would not recommend this place at all.
Sopra la media”
Disappointing. advert indicated breakfast. upon arrival this was not the case. Had to keep on asking for bare necessities eg toilet roll. Cleaning - basic cleaning. Room not cleaned properly
Place is in the good area, particularly the room allocated to (sea facing). The concern I have is that when one travels with children they are not accommodated in a number of ways e.g. channels that talk to their interests and not even a substitute for that matter. The breakfast which we had for one day only was not really appealing for us to be able to have it on another day. When we departed what was demeaning was when we were told that the receptionist had to check in the room to see if we had not taken anything from the inventories. It is understandable when you check the inventory when guests check in and out not only when they check out. That really turned me off.
