The Safest, Most Comforting Haven”
Thank you, Rockwell, for providing the safest, comforting haven in the past two weeks. The staff is super-efficient and friendly. The indoor cold pool allows privacy as you can only swim two at a time. Your staff and the host are super-efficient in responding to requests sent. The only thing is for guests who submit a long-term stay, there should be apartments that have extra equipment for use. Hairdryers. frying pans, etc. Also, two-point electrical plugs with a round nozzel would have been great.

Very friendly staff!!! everybody of my family has enjoyed the stay. Enough space for everybody. Clean and neat. Kitchen and Washing machine made live so easy. We have also enjoyed buying groceries at Spar next door. its even possible to walk to the most important touristic spots.... Not all rooms have a good internet connection though...

· Everything was beyond what I expected and more. Cleanliness was superb. Staff were great. Exceptional food. Could not fault anything except that l wasn’t aware that parking is paid seperately. Will definitely come and stay again.

The 2 br penthouse suite was incredible! Clean, spacious, washer/dryer was very convenient, reasonably priced food options at restaurant, room service available, 10 min uber drive to most places.

Great staff with smiles all round. Spacious apartments. Everything a home needs were provided. Good linen and comfortable beds. A 10 minute walk to the Waterfront and red bus. Good food at restaurant . Wine tasting available highly recommend

Really enjoyed our stay, staff were very professional, the breakfast buffet was extensive, the location central to all of Cape Town and the security was first class.

Amazing , simply amazing. ”
It has all the amenities and some more , its an hotel yet it feels like home. Privacy , beautiful balconies and room service straight to your door. The pool and spa is spectacular. We blown away. Will definitely return soon. Only bummer was the limited satellite television stations but we were entertained nonetheless 👌

Self-Catering Accommodation”
The accommodation suited our private needs. Linked to the global pandemic we respected the need to minimize contact with the cleaning staff, so it suited us to clean where necessary, but daily clean towels would have been appreciated. The apartment was clean when we arrived, very neat apartment, lots of space for kids as well. Very well placed with key shops in close by. Staff not the friendliest, but that didn't interfere with our stay. Parking area safe, in basement. Overall a clean block of apartments and we will definitely recommend to others.

Great place to stay ”
Overall this is a great place to stay, offering great conditions and also very close to everything. It was our first time and we couldn’t have ask for a better place to stay. The only thing is the pool, I highlighted this to the team as the pool was not clean during our time there this was the only thing that could really improve. Great stay, amazing customer service and extremely value for money

Location of the hotel is good walking distance to V&A and its a self catering my only problem with the hotel is that we had no hot water for the 5days we stayed there and ur aircon was not working so ur evenings were abit cold they did give us a small fan bt it didn't do much besides that I would recommend it

Absolutely beautiful penthouse suite with stunning views and ample room ”
It was a great location to walk around. They had a dinner that we participated in. The staff was very friendly and security was great. The 3 bedroom penthouse was fabulous! It was very large, clean and had 2 balconies with amazing views

Power cut ”
We arrived at The Rockwell service apartments in De Waterkant Cape Town on the 13 March 2019. On check-in we were not informed of any planned power-cuts. On the 15 March we returned to lights out reception to find a sign giving days of planned power-cuts. Unfortunately they did not included the 17-18 March our last 2 days in The Rockwell where we finished our stay in darkness. On two occasions now we have had to go to local bars/restaurants where they have electricity. This has been an inconvenience to us; we have not been able to cook, wash clothes or charge our mobiles. No torches were available either. We should have been informed of these power-cuts on check-in to enable us to plan our days or change hotels. This has been a very disappointing experience for us and can you advise on compensation for this loss of power (three times in five nights) to our serviced apartment in The Rockwell.

Wifi signal was weak and intermittent, and practically non existent in the bedroom. No regular tv or news channels and trying to use the smart tv was difficult due to the weak wifi signal. The shower over the bath was dreadful and looked like an after thought. On the other hand, the location is excellent, the staff are very pleasant, and the apartment was clean. If they fixed the weak wifi, had decent tv channels and a proper shower, I would stay there again.

An Excellent hotel re value for money, cleanliness, great staff and food. Our 3 bed apartment was perfect for 5 guests. It’s only let down was a swimming pool that didn’t appear to be used once in six days as despite requests they wouldn’t heat it.
