Simple place to stay”
The hotel is beside a police station, near a bus stop, walking distance to the many food places and the itathao wharf for the sunmoon lake boat ride. 15mins walk to ropeway. The staffs cant understand english, google translate is very useful in communicating. The staffs are very friendly and smiling. The room is clean and very spacious for 3 of us. The hotel closes its doors at 12mn, the place is quiet around 7pm anyway. And opens its doors at 630am. It was a good stay. I miss the food there

Good location & nice people”
It's not really far from the center of Itathao. The bus is just 2 minutes from the hotel. We discovered a walking trail which is only 100m from the hotel and we really enjoy it. The staffs (or boss) do not really speak english but they are very nice and helpful. I really enjoy my vacation in Sun Moon Lake with my mother. We all really love Sun Moon lake and this hotel could be a beautiful choice.

Great little hidden gem-Itathao Hotel”
Great room-one of the best during our trip around Taiwan. The style and interior were very different from others. Our room even had a triangle shaped balcony with a bistro table and two chairs. The lady at reception was very nice and helped us find parking for our car. This hotel is close to the water, the pier, the gondola and the night market. The night market is the only place you will get decent food in this area. The night market was easy to get to get around and had snacks we had not seen anywhere else. Breakfast a bit of a disappointment-just regular Taiwanese food. We had hoped for a more indigenous experience. This hotel is quiet, well kept and well run. It it exceeded our expectations.

It is near the bus station which made going around sun moon lake a breeze for us. There was a lot of bike rentals and restaurants near us. Also, the room was really spacious and it even has a balcony. The breakfast provided was great and the utensils were clean.

Nice place to stay in Sun Moon Lake”
There are a lot of shops to eat and buy things at the Itathao. The hotel has a bath tub! The staff upgraded us to a bigger and nicer room. The breakfast is simple yet nice. Everything was good. Recommend people to stay here when travel to Sun Moon Lake.

Really kind staff, lovely place”
The staff at this hotel are very kind and helpful. The room felt clean and tidy, and the room was beautiful and comfortable to stay in. The location was very convenient too; it was nice being close to the Ita Thao Shopping District where there were plenty of food options for meals, and we were able to easily drive to places we wanted to visit and things we wanted to do around the lake.

We stayed a night at this hotel, hotel staff could not speak English so for English speaking guest may find it difficult to communicate. We stayed at room 501 . TV is old , we can bearly hear what is showing on TV at full volume. The room is big enough for 4 Of us with 2 teenage boys . My boys find the hotel a bit run down. It’s time to spruce up a little. Breakfast is simple porridge with condiments. white bread butter and Jam with Ham for those who does not like porridge.

NT1,000 a night on weekdays at such a nice hotel located only 3 minutes away from the lake was really a good bargain. There was almost nothing to complain about except for the weird ammonia smell coming out from the bathroom since next morning.

Very pleasant stay, only a few minutes walk to lake.”
Hotel is in the nicest area of Sun Moon Lake, at Ita Thao town and we had a room on 7th Floor with a reasonable view of lake and small balcony. Note lift only goes to 6th floor Staff are all very pleasant and helpful and make you feel welcome. Breakfast is basic and bit of a rush as only one hour but had toast, coffee, scrambled egg, ham/bacon, jam for those that like a bit of Western choice. Hotel is on the main road about 1 minute from the round the lake bus stop at Ita Thao and was easy to find, just walk back past the police station and look for the street number. For those coming on the Nantou bus from Taichung just note you then need to catch the around lake bus which departs from same place as the Taichung bus last stop. This bus runs regularly up to about 5.00pm. Taking the bus would be easier and cheaper than taking the boat, especially if you have some luggage. A very pleasant stay only a few minutes walk to lake, eateries etc.

Even though this hotel is a little bit far from wharf, the round-lake bus stop is near here. There’s still a plenty problem that the receptionist cannot speak english but he understands then replies using Google Translate. The room is spotless.

this property is within perfect walking distance to the sun-moon lake and to the cable cars. the owners took very good care of us even though we didn't speak the local language. they were very patient explaining the activities we wanted to do with the children. we were also able to purchase tickets for all our activities in the hotel thus decreasing the chances of getting lost in translation.
