Nice stay”
Stayed overnight for a mid-week "get away from our kids" night with a friend. We had a lovely time in the suite. Enjoyed the deep luxurious bathtub. I was prepared and brought my own bubble bath. Rainfall shower was lovely and the coffeemaker a dream in the morning. Bed was a little low to the floor but comfortable. Quiet, pleasant stay and just steps to anything you need, including Garrett's popcorn half a block up, which I never miss when going to the City!

Dear Chiquita, Thank you for your recent review and your 9.2 rating of the hotel. We do appreciate your kind comments on the property. I am sorry that you felt our bar tender was rude. The state and city does mandate that all guests wear masks at restaurants when they are not seated. Even though Sky Terrace is an outside venue. We do apologize if you felt he was rude. Kindest regards, The Ivy Hotel Chicago
Romantic Getaway”
While the TV didn't' work and the hot water was weak, everything was exactly as pictured and described. It was perfect for a week vacation for me and my girlfriend!

Beautiful Hotel but proceed with caution”
The Ivy is a beautiful boutique hotel right in the heart of downtown Chicago. Perfect for my staycation! The location is amazing, Gorgeous rooftop terrace, very chic spacious suites. However, the outlets in our bathroom did not work, the hot water in the bathtub had extremely low water pressure, there were issues with the television, the mini fridge was not cold, and the staff at the front desk was rude. She could not find my reservation for my second night despite all of the information I provided her. Therefore, stating if I could not provide proof of my reservation, I needed to leave. How rude? I’m a guest in your hotel and this is how you speak to me? Thankfully, the manager was much more competent and found my reservation right away. Beautiful hotel, but proceed with caution. Maybe you will have a better experience.

Very good”
The offsite ( down the street - around the corner)self parking is NOT validated as described. Its $15 off the $58 price. The reastaurant, bar and room service do not adhere to stated hours. At 6pm they were closed. The staff was very nice.

Skip the Ivy Hotel. ”
I had to change rooms because the tv didn't work. That was ok. The mini bar fridge didn't work in the new room. Not a big deal. What was my main concern? The bed didn't have a top sheet. I called the front desk and was told they no longer offered top sheets. WHAT?? Later I asked a front desk employee what was up with the top sheet situation and was told they were waiting for a shipment. So, what is the truth here? Someone is lying. You should never lie to a customer. Nine times out of ten we will understand the truth and accept it with little drama. But, if you lie and we find out, we leave with a very bad impression and most likely won't repeat any business or recommend services. It's a shame since I've stayed at the hotel before. The level of service and quality of stay has gone way down. There are a lot of other good hotels in Chicago. If you are planning a trip, don't stay at the Ivy Hotel. Yes, they might get better, but I wouldn't chance it. Save yourself a headache.

4 star NOT”
The hotel itself was nice. But the staff were HORRIBLE!!! They never answer the front desk phone! We called for towels at 10 and NEVER received them! When we finally got the desk we were told that towel service was behind but coming. Check out is 11am, we checked out at almost 12 and never received our towels! When I asked what happened we were told that the washer broke and they were running behind! So you mean to tell me that ALL of the towels were dirty! Not to mention my shower had an old soap bar in which tells me that the shower was NOT cleaned properly. Oh and the rooftop bar closed 1 hour early without our knowledge. Online said one time but when we got there we told that they were closing in 15 minutes. Wouldn’t that be something you tell your guest upon arrival?? Yeah it’s a NO for us!

Don’t waste your time ”
I never leave negative reviews but the staff is not friendly. Our hotel room had rose petals and heart confetti all over the place, bed sheets had makeup & other stains on them. Front desk was not helpful at all when it came to deliveries. We couldn’t wait to leave. There are much bette options in the city.

EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED NEAR MICHIGAN AVENUE”
We stayed for a week at the Ivy Boutique Hotel. The rooms were spacious, modern, and clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job. While most of the large hotels had strikers picketing, our hotel had no strikers and was competently managed by the staff who were extremely accommodating with every request. Breakfast in the room was perfect, and the food was surprisingly good. The location was midway between the Chicago River and Oak Street, and just a couple of blocks off Michigan Avenue. We easily walked to the Art Institute, Millennium Park, the Trump International Hotel, John Hancock Building, Water Tower Place and 900 N Michigan, where Bloomingdales is located. The Ivy Boutique Hotel had everything we needed without the trouble of a big hotel entrance lobby. It was perfect in every way, and just what we were looking for.

Loved this hotel!”
We had an excellent 3 night stay at the Ivy Boutique Hotel—we were even sad to leave! We stayed in the King Suite and had an absolutely fantastic time. The room has a large bathroom with a large shower and bath and double sinks. It has a small kitchen/bar area and a large bedroom type area with a plush king bed. There's also a lounge room with a spacious and comfortable couch. There's also huge windows going out onto the street with mechanical curtains. There's three TVs—one in the lounge, one in the bedroom and even one in the bathroom mirror! Amenities were superb and housekeeping were fantastic and so friendly and welcoming. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly as well—they couldn't do enough for us and ensured they greeted us as soon as we left the hotel or reentered. We also loved the little sweet treats delivered to our room each afternoon. I would love to stay again and would definitely recommend the hotel to a friend!

Great bathroom and perfect bedroom”
The room was much bigger than expected with a separate lounge and bedroom area which made it very relaxing. There was a small kitchenette with coffee making facilities. The bathroom was large and luxurious. I really thought that this was great value for money in a central location in Chicago. There was a problem with the wifi during our stay and when this issue was raised with the hotel manager he was very professional in dealing with this matter. Whilst he could not get the wifi sorted during our stay he did provide us with a late check out and a complementary breakfast. I thought this was great customer service. The check in to the hotel was a little bit slow. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and I would happily book this hotel again.

Loved our time there”
We loved the Ivy! It's my new favorite hotel in Chicago. We stayed in there King Suite and it was so nice. Huge soaker tub, beautiful shower. Modern but warm decor. Bed was so comfortable and it was so quiet.

the king suit is amazing”
I recommend the king suit. it comes with a separate room with basic office furniture, sofa and TV. The blind and the curtain can be control by the switch. The bathtub is pretty large must try. The location is also nice,no more than 2 miles from all the Chicago landmark. However, the WiFi is not free, it is $9 for 24 hours. I didn't try any food in the restaurant, but there are a lot of good restaurant nearby.

A great Experience”
This is my second time in Chicago. This hotel is not far from where I meet at the ITW conference. When I arrived, they upgraded me to a suite. It was nice. I have a living room and a bed room. Very nice and tidy. Very clean. That makes me tip the cleaner every day without hesitation. The food is also nice surrounding the hotel.

Great little hotel”
I really enjoyed my stay at Ivy Boutique Hotel. The room was stylish and comfortable, the rooftop bar was a plus, and although they don't have a gym, you get free access to Planet Fitness just a few blocks away (good for the summer, but I would not have wanted to travel a few blocks for a gym if it were winter).
