Great Japanese style resort with great location and price”
Went off season and would imagine a much different vibe in the summer but had a great experience. Location is right on the beach and though the hotel is older, they have done a nice job keeping it clean and updated. My complaints would be that the restaurants were all fully booked (recommend getting a meal package if you wish to eat at the restaurants). While I like their attempt to feel like a beach resort with all the Hawaiian motifs, quilts, flowers, uniforms, music etc., I didn't go to Izu to find Hawaii. I would have gone to Hawaii which I often do. But still a great spot.

Lovely hotel with the friendliest staff”
Tastefully designed and decorated hotel. The lounge area is modern and relaxing with tons of beautiful books. Rooms are warm and clean. Public bath area gives the most relaxing night. Dinner and breakfast matches the delightful hotel. And lastly, the staff are very warm and friendly. They took awesome pictures of myself and my friend and even suggested the best areas to take them. Loved it here!

We had a wonderful stay at the Izu Imaihama Tokyu Hotel! We booked the Maisonette room and it was perfect for our family as we prefer separate sleeping areas for the kids. It would be perfect for larger families as well! We hope to visit again in the summer to take advantage of the walk out balcony to the pool/beach. The hotel was impeccably clean and the staff was friendly and able to communicate in English. We really enjoyed the onsen on-site as well. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone & hope to visit again!

Booked with dinner. Superb!! Place is really great for family bonding or just need to relax and escape from the busy city. Take LTD express train from Yokohama to Kawazu and a free shuttle is waiting for you at the station. Very convenient. Will be sure staying here again next year.

The worst staff I’ve met ever.”
I stayed for 2days 1night. There’re many stairs at Imaihama Kaigan Station which is difficult to carry luggages to the hotel. So I asked the staff at hotel’s reception when I check-in if I can have the delivery service to Haneda Airport and they said yes can do it the next day when I check-out and the luggages can be delivered to airport in same day (as I have flight to HK at night of check-out day). Unfortunately, another staff (the rude and unhelpful one) said no and it takes at least 2 days. At the beginning he helped me to called the delivery company and asked me to wait at the lobby. After 1.5hour, he didn’t come back. I went around the lobby and saw him serving other customers. He just left me waiting and I missed the JR to Tokyo. Then he tell me ‘sorry I called the delivery company but they have no idea’ but he didn’t tell me immediately. I’m furious,I have plan in Tokyo but this forced me to cancel. It’s really disappointing that the staffs provided wrong information too. Bad.

It's a mix Feeling.”
There's nothing that feels luxurious or fancy, The Location Is kinda inconvenient especially when you arrive at Imaihama-Kaigan station, There's no Elevator and you have to carry your bag through a long and small steps. There's no convenience store nor a nearby Supermarket and you have to ride the train, To the nearest station at Kawazu. Although there is a service bus but you need to check the schedule. It's not recommendable if you don't rent a car or dont use a car. The Good Side Great View at the beach which very rare, Restaurant Food is expensive but tastes good just prepare a budget. Onsen is comfortable and very clean and organized, And its not recommendable for a person who has tattoo. The laundry is free but prepare to bring Laundry soap for travel. The entire place is wide and has a-lot of places to explore. The waves of the beach is relaxing for a vacation, The room amenities is an A+.

Cool place to chill but not satisfying ”
Kind of traditional Japanese hot spring hotel in an old fashion. Most guests are Japanese, staff is nice but not well prepared for foreign guests. It is a little difficult to communicate in English. The location is extreme, there are NO stores near hotel. free shuttle bus from Kawazu station takes less than 10min, but it takes 30min for walking. I booked through promotion pages, it turns out I got the ONLY Mountain View room on the floor, while 20 other rooms are all sea view. First rule of hot spring is “tattoo is restricted”. But tattoo cover is not provided, they are sold in Hotel shop instead. I feel this discriminative. Moreover, a few children broke into changing room and hot spring area of opposite gender. I think it’s disrespect and invading privacy of other guests. The beach and sunrise is cool.
