My family absolutely loved this hotel. Perched on top of a mountain with a views towards Mt Fuji. Such a relaxing beautiful resort with exceptional service. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area

Great place for family vacation”
The rooms and facility of Marriott Shuzenji is well designed and great for family vacation and relaxation. . Staffs are friendly and the services are good. The supplies and facilities of the indoor gym within the Laforet Resort though is old and not well maintenance. Other than that, all of the family members from old to young enjoyed the stay very much.

Had a great time here cos it was so relaxing. Good thing there is a shuttle to and from the hotel to the train/bus station as it is a 10 min drive from the station. Our Marriot card enabled us to have an upgrade with the lounge and breakfast thrown in. Great experience.

If you are driving with Google map, it will lead you to the middle of the mountain. U are required to 3 more minutes to reach the hotel. If you go at night, it is dark to see the signs.

Izu Marriott Hotel Shuzenji is a very new opening hotel, all good facilities and the staff can understand English. The room is spacious and clean, with private onsen on the balcony. I highly recommend this hotel and resorts if they can add more shuttle bus to Shuzenji station.

Excellent place for some peace and quiye”
Pro: it’s situated up the hill with Mr Fuji view, very quiet place with onsen. Shuttle bus is provided from hotel to Shuzenji Station and to a bus stop of about 1km yon Shuzenji onsen, with a nice walk up to ume grove and maple forrest. Con: slightly pricey if you are staying alone. Time for shuttle should be provided in English too. I mistook a shuttle 1415hrs which is notbdaily from station to hotel and waited for more than 1 hour

It was a bad decision to stay here”
The hotel itself was nice and pleasant and staff were friendly and helpful, however a few things really disappointed us and these are the reasons I cannot recommend this hotel to others. First, this hotel is very, very out of the way from Izu city center. We rented a car and still felt it was out of the way, so before coming to hotel you should grab your meals elsewhere or else you'll have no choice but to go for an expensive buffet at 6500 yen/per person. Food was not bad but the the lack of options. A la carte was available but very pricey per dish at least 2,500-3,000 yen for a burget plus a drink you mght as well go for the buffet. this hotel is atop on a mountain next to another golf resort, so this might be the reason why food cost is high (transport). There are no stores or restaurants nearby anywhere, unless you go down the mountain. Another very annoying problem was the number of mainland Chinese tour groups that are there almost on a daily basis. Very loud & annoying

EXIVEにはるかに負ける”
料金のわりに部屋も狭く、スタッフの対応も良くない。温泉も1つしかなく、サウナ有と書いてあったが、ラフォーレの施設まで行かなければなく不便であった。EXIVE系のホテルのほうが設備、スタッフの対応全ていおいて良い。

部屋や内装は非常に綺麗でした。 周りの景色も綺麗。 ただレストランが最悪です。 ディナー時は前菜がビュッフェでメインの肉魚料理はテーブルに運ばれてくるのですが、 メインの料理が出て来たのが食べ始めてから1時間20分後、、、 何度催促をしても、順番に作ってますというばかりで、 何のために時間の予約をしているのか意味不明でした。 朝ご飯もビュッフェ形式なのに、席が空いてないとのことで、 別部屋でコーヒーを飲んでお待ちくださいということで30分ほど待たされました。 コーヒーもすでに無くなっていたために、 飲むことができませんでした。 正直、ここは二度と使いたくないです。 温泉は大浴場が１つでサウナも露天風呂もありません。 リゾート内に露天風呂があると聞いてましたが、徒歩20分くらいあるかないといけないみたいで使いませんでした。 全体的に満足度は低いです。
