I've stayed in a lot of hostels. I haven't stayed in one where there was no separation between groups of beds. All the beds are in one big room and the restrooms were near me so everyone walked by at night going back and forth. I couldn't sleep well at all. After talking to others I realized Albergues are designed for those doing The Camino and they get used to them. I was just looking for cheap accomodation and this place came up. The private rooms are basic as far as I could see and guests share the restrooms. At night a girl's restroom had a wet floor and there was no toilet paper. Travelers learn to tolerate some things but this was a big inconvenience.
Ten Euros for self-laundry is the highest I've seen at any place. I shared the cost with someone I met there. I like the staff and guests.
