On site marine reserve - Heaven!”
What a surprise! Perhaps the loveliest hotel I've stayed in during my 9 years in the Philippines. Beautiful grounds to stroll through (I did), multiple restaurants with delicious food options, and the most amazing - the onsite marine reserve. Perhaps the best snorkeling I've ever done - clear waters, large protected area and a variety of marine life, including the largest giant clams I've ever seen. Delightful staff remember your name for free breakfast and arrange tours (inexpensive and wonderful - whatever you wish). I plan to return for another 3 day stay as soon as possible! Happy that most Filipinos are superstitious and don't like spending the night - Siquijor was far cleaner - land and water - than Palawan where I live. Highly recommended
We loved everything about our stay. From the friendly and super accommodating staff, to the spaciously outfitted and perfectly clean rooms, to the gorgeous white sand beach and whole private beach front location. I loved the rooms in particular with the balconies that felt like you were in the jungle. My husband and I especially loved the swim up pool bar where you could literally sit all day and drink to your hearts content looking over at the beach while the sun was setting! We were lucky enough to go during low season and basically got the whole resort to ourself. We really want to keep this place a secret but I’m sure it will only get more popular considering their impeccable service during our stay. Everything was super easy especially the transportation pickup at the airport all the way through to the ferry to being dropped off at the resort. Please don’t go because we want to keep it a secret! But if you do, you will fall in love! Also, The food at the two restaurants we loved!
The place is good!100% Relaxation! total package vacation, it's all here in this hotel!”
Pros-Staff are friendly but sometime s, it can be observed that they are friendlier to foreigners or to their frequent guests unlike to the first time guests. Food was delicious in all the restaurants. Swimming pools are excellent! Cons- just some small issues like there is no bidet, beach is not that suitable for swimming
Ideal place for a staycation”
If you really just want to savor some peace and quiet, and enjoy good food and go for a swim, this is the place for you. The resort has 4 pools and 3 restaurants. You can also go snorkeling and kayaking. The place is clean and well maintained. Excellent service from the staff. They're really mindful of your needs and how to make you feel more comfortable with your stay. 👍🏼 wifi signal inside the room wasn't that bad. The beds could use a little upgrade though. But overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Lovely resort and great staff!”
We had a nice stay...the room was big enough, twin beds were small and rather hard but we slept O.K. The bathroom was OK, water leaked from the sink and the toilet kept blocking but the shower was good. The verandah was overrun by ants, and even though I told the front desk nothing was done. Breakfast at the Salamander restaurant was very good, we really enjoyed that and the staff were nice. Pools were clean and nice to relax by. Be careful swimming in the sea in front of the hotel, we got badly stung by sea lice. Also the tour to Apo island wasn't great, an hour snorkeling then a long wait on not such a great beach where lunch was served...then an hour snorkeling from the boat. not the best tour. Overall we like the resort.
Even with a storm they do the best to entertain u. Staff was amazing. also the rooms are clean. It was more then expected
Everything was excellent. The pools are big and clean, the beach quiet and beautiful. The snorkeling OK, but it is shallow unless you are a confident swimmer and can go out a bit. They provide lifejackets for free, we had brought our own snorkels, and shoes, but I think everything was free. A San Mig Pilsen was 60pesos throughout the resort which was a great relief to me as I was expecting something much pricier! The cheapest wine was 550 for a quaffable bottle of white South African. Food was OK, bit more expensive than outside but not massively so. For an evening out and great BBQ try the Baha bar a tuk tuk drive down the road. The BBQ and cultural evenings in the Coco were also good fun. The staff were lovely, and after a few nights it was first name terms. Breakfast is a bit repetitive being various set options but you can mix and match. The place never seemed crowded at all. But quite a few Chinese groups were arriving as the CNY was approaching.
Great location, space planning, very good service and nice food
Worth the time and money.”
The best resort I have visited so far. So quiet, peaceful, and clean. The staff makes you feel welcome and at home, and immediately responds to whatever assistance you need. They have 3 restaurants and the price is reasonable. The food quality is great. I want to thank all the staff for giving me an unforgettable vacation and I really intend to return with family and friends
Fantastic hotel, beach, staff and food”
From the start to the end this was a beautiful place to stay. The staff were friendly and knowledgable helping to create the relaxing atmosphere. There are multiple bars and restaurants all with a good mix of food and themed nights (e.g. BBQ night). The beach and grounds are beautifully maintaned with a good number of cabanas, hammocks and beds to enjoy your day and the beach is aligned perfectly for viewing the amazing sunsets. The hotel has good facilities and organises boat trips to Apo island (a must), moped rental, island tours etc. I travelled the Philippines for a month staying in nice hotels and this was my favourite hotel and island experience.
The beach and the ocean are beautiful. The resort has good rooms and facilities. The staff (especially Ms. Joy, Roselio, Eliza, our dive instructor and all the staff at the dive shop) are what made the stay at the resort extra special. They really made us feel like VIPs. We think they do this for all their guests. They have become like family. We had fun scuba diving, watching the sun set, having delicious and quiet dinners, and watching the cultural show. This was our third time to stay in Coco Grove and we definitely hope we can come home to the resort every year.
Exceptional- the only place to stay in Siquijor!!!”
This resort is nestled behind a palm tree laden beach- from the water it’s hard to spot. It blends in perfectly with its surroundings and this is what makes Coco Grove a gem. The staff are so friendly and will go above and beyond. The pictures on the website don’t do this place justice at all. Three amazing pools, great snorkelling just in front of resort as it’s a marine sanctuary (very minimal fee), food is good with a couple restaurants to choose from. I didn’t want to ever leave
I don't regret booking this hotel's Casa Coco room. The staff are all well-trained, and I felt the hospitality from welcome staff at the ferry port to the hotel itself. Attentive staff, response to requests are quick. The food is excellent. Will definitely recommend this place again.
Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in.”
The hotel and grounds are immaculate. Wonderful facilities along the beach (hammocks and nipa huts). Three fabulous swimming pools. Great entertainment and good restaurants. The only criticism I can find is the WiFi does not work in the bedrooms but I am told that they have plans to fix that.
Quiet place, beautiful view, nice staff ”
We’ve been in Siquijor Island for 3nights and we all think this is the best resort in this area. Everything is perfect here. Try to experience scuba diving, it’ll blow your mind ; )
Everything about the place is exceptional. The boat pick up, the front desk staff, the room, the food is exceptional, and the servers. Those working at the bar, the night entertainment, the snorkeling, and diving, the facilities, the sunsets, the checking out, and the ride on the boat back home. All totally amazing! Don't forget to rent a motorbike and ride around the island.
Massive resort - big fun on tiny island”
Beautiful & large resort-style with multiple pools and areas. Great location - rent a motorbike and explore! The grounds themselves are beautifully well kept. Very lush & well maintained throughout the paths & pools. The onsite restaurants are pretty good as well - however I do recommend getting out of the resort for some nearby dinners. It truly is a slice of beach paradise at CoCo Grove. The marine sanctuary is found RIGHT infront of the resort, and makes for great snorkeling at all times of the day. We also booked a scuba trip with the resort and had a great time. The dive site was less than 5 minutes away by boat and offered lots to see! Highly recommend CoCo Grove and I would love to come on back. I should have done more research into CoCo Grove as I was very surprised to find out how large the grounds actually are! I'm not complaining it just sort of caught me off guard as there are multiple entrances along the main road depending on where you are staying.
