お家にお邪魔したようなアットホームなところ。オーナーさんが気さくな方で楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。清潔でした。ありがとうございました。

立地、料金がすばらしい！”

京都駅からJR奈良線でひと駅のJR東福寺駅から徒歩1分。アットホームなゲストハウスです。女性専用で、スタッフの方が日本人と中国人ですから、外国の方が泊まりやすいですね。 横が居酒屋なので、有線放送の曲がよく聞こえますが、心地よいBGMとなってよく眠れました。徒歩3分ほどで銭湯もあり、駅の横にはファミマ、名物へんこ焼きをあてにビールを飲めるちょっとしたお店もあり、また泊まりたいな、と思いました。

外国人にやさしい、女性にやさしい女将がいる、心づくしの宿”

とにかく女将が素晴らしかった。心からのおもてなしというのは彼女のような人の事を言うのだと思う。今まで色んなところに宿泊体験してきましたがまた帰ってきたいと思うような居心地の良い宿でした。京都訪問の際は必ずまた行きます。

家に帰る感覚でステイできる。”

お家みたいな宿。おかみさんが親切でさばさばしてて・・・家にいるような気楽さと安心感があった。朝、焼きたてのパンにバター、数種類のジャムがテーブルに置いてあり驚いた。駅から１分なので楽ちん。

Host is friendly and helpful and shared lots of travelling info. The location is good, 1-minute away from Tofukuji station and 3-minutes away from bus stop. Family mart is just nearby. The room environment is perfect, and you can wash your clothes with washing machine, for free! There was a day when my shoes were wet due to rain, the host helped me to dry my shoes. I feel very warm and welcomed, as if I am at my own house. Wonderful memories at Guesthouse Usagi-Momiji! :)

Old and Not worth the money”

Terrible!! 1. Only one shower room 2. Old and steep stairs 3. Lack of English speaking social vibe 4. Only 1 toilet w/ one outside 5. People talk so loud at night downstairs in Chinese and laugh so loud that couldn’t even sleep 6. Bad sound proof can hear people walk 7. Dusty 8. Small 9. Expensive

A stone's throw from Tofukiji Station. Walking distance to Tofukiji Temple and Fushimi Inari Shrine. Tiny, cute and quaint little house in a really nice local neighbourhood. Supermarkets are 10-15mins walk. Host is very welcoming and makes you feel totally at home. It was like living in your own house. Enjoyed my stay !

It was great being at Usagi-Momiji...felt just at home. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the JR line railway station and not far from many of the sites that Kyoto has to offer, which can be easily travelled with the help of the bicycle that the hostess is happy to offer free of charge. Her hospitality and warmth was so enduring. They, along with the bicycle, made my stay just perfect!! The house may be small but trust me, you cannot find a bigger heart...

Old Japanese Home”

I liked everything. It's really close to the station. It's a nice house and the owner is friendly and speaks English well. The beds and shower are fine. One thing I disliked a little is that the toilet is one the first floors with rooms on second floor. The staircase is long and some may not like going up the stairs. Having to go to the toilet at night is a little hard due to this. All else is fine. There are a few restaurants and a Family Mart very close by. Thanks to the owner for providing a good guesthouse.

The place was near to the station, getting around was easy. And the host is exceptionally friendly, she offered to help me dry my shoes because it rained the whole day and my shoes were drenched.

Convenient Location”

One of the most strategic location for a guesthouse. It is located not far from Tofukuji Station, which has JR line and the Keihan line. Very convenient to get around Kyoto and Nara. Do try out the restaurant next to this guesthouse, it has really affordable and good miso soup. I must mention that this location has only two toilets and one bathroom. Be prepared to wait your turn to use the shower. The owner is a nice Japanese lady which spoke decent English. She even recommended places to visit and the time we should visit. Recommended to those who wants to experience staying in a Japanese house.

Like living in someone else's messy home”

The curtain only extended to cover half the bed. There was an odd house rule that you can't take a shower from 11am-4pm, the doorbell doesn't work on the secondary door so ring the 1st one. Multiple people seemed to be living there, as there were rooms with their names on them as well as their belongings everywhere (including the shower room and fridge). 1000 yen for refundable key deposit. The owner seemed to be Chinese, but fluent in Japanese, with very poor grasp of English. I have a feeling her friends were staying in the dorms along with the guests. read reviews here that there were free snacks and bicycles but she never mentioned them to me.

The guesthouse was very easy to get to, and our room was spacious enough for us and our luggage. Our only problems were that shower time was only limited up to 11pm, and it was difficult to bring our luggage up the small stairs. The host was very warm and friendly. She answered some of our housemates' questions on touring Kyoto. She also offered us snacks and bread, and coupons for a nearby public bath.

3 minutes walk from Tofukuji JR station. Room was slightly crammed and food wasn't allowed in the tatami room. However, there is a communal area with some free snacks and a mini kitchen. Had to write down our names in a queue for the shower but wasn't a big problem since there aren't many people staying there (there's a laundry machine as well but no dryer). Owner can speak Mandarin and Japanese and is really friendly and accommodating to our request (had to check-out at 6am and she's awake waiting for us).
