Good hotel let down by staff”

I do not agree with the majority of reviews. It's a 3 star and the rooms are large, comfortable bed, good bathroom and clean. Free coffee and non alcohol drinks in the afternoon. Breakfast is simply but tastes great. Location is in the Castle District nice and quiet easy to walk or public transport although its on a hill. The hotel is let down by the receptionist. Abrupt and rude just let's the whole experience down. Upon checking out I nearly walked out.

Lovely”

Lovely Stay, Breakfast was fine. Only down point was it is up a massive hill, but has a bus stop just outside the rear. Room was clean, and hotel was quiet.

Good and comfortable stay”

We stayed in Nov 2019. Overall a Very comfortable stay. Hotel is on the Buda side - buses however connect the pest side and therefore makes it convenient. Staff were very helpful. Limited choice for vegetarians during breakfast.

Great Hotel and stunning location.”

Hotel Castle Garden helped make our holiday - friendly staff, great food and stunning location. A quiet backwater but very close to the Castle area in Buda. Hope to return at some point.

Great hotel in historical area ”

Excellent hotel within minutes of the major attractions in the historical area of Budapest. The room was fantastic - super clean and comfortable and well worth the money. The breakfast selection was very good with a variety of food on offer. The staff very attentive and helpful. Would stay here in the future if visiting Budapest.

Closed to attraction but prepare for climbing”

Overall the experience was okay, some of the staff was helpful while some was not. The location is close to attraction but prepared for climbing for a short distance.

Outstanding hotel!”

I recently had an extended stay (10 days) at this hotel while I was in Budapest for business. The staff were courteous and friendly, the facilities were excellent, and the location was absolutely perfect for evening walks to explore the Buda Castle area. Very quiet location but with easy access to the metro and trams at Széll Kálmán tér by walking or by the 16/16A bus.

The area around the hotel is a beautiful and quiet neighborhood that is lovely for walking provided you can handle steep hills.

Very good location especially if you travel by car. Has parking right under the hotel . The last eve the elevator broke so had to carry luggage by hand . Restaurant next door is very good as well .

A Hidden Gem”

This was our second stay at Hotel Castle Garden. We love everything about this place. The front desk has the most helpful, patient and kind young women to offer information and help. The restaurant staff is gracious and the food is top quality and well priced. What we love most is the serene garden like setting, right next to the historic Buda Castle. It is easy to get to the Pest side by taxi or by public transport which is extensive and reasonable. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. You will not be disappointed by this lovely Hotel.

Hospitality”

The room its make up but the bed sheets did not do a proper cleaning while you can still see dust, dirts and hair around the bed. Besides that, the toiletries in the room wasn't replenish during the last day before we are check out for the next day.

Good value in Busapest”

This Hotel was in a good location for the Buda side being just near the Castle entrance. It is run by professional staff who speak good English and are very helpful. Good value for money.

Interseting city, with many things to do.”

Good location although probably not suitable for people with limited mobility as the hill from the town to the hotel is quite steep. All in all a nice clean hotel and good value for money.

A bit disappointing really....”

Air con was useless (fortunately the weather was cooler than it had been the week earlier)- 'Do not disturb sign' was pointless as I was woken at 9am (ok, not that early, but even so...)by drilling in the room next door. There was no-one available behind reception at 10am to check out. I waited 5 minutes (a genuine 5 minutes) and rang the desk-bell on a couple of occasions, only to be ignored by the bar staff who were 2 metres away...so I left

i booked this the day before i went as the previous hotel had the wrong dates it was a lovely hotel in a very good location to get around. i had a meal in the restaurant the last night and the food along with the service was excellent. i would go back but with someone next time.

Great Price and Location”

Booked this hotel as it was the best for the price its near to the castle which suited us really for the price its an excellent hotel. We paid around £5 for our breakfast on one day it had limited choice so the next day we went out for breakfast. Close to the transport links of the metro, tram and bus we were upgraded to a balcony room which was great.
