Excellent staff, extremely helpful and polite Very good breakfast would stay again.
The Stefanie was just lovely and the staff were teriffic. HOWEVER, the Agoda site listed an excerzie room as one of the amenities and it simply is not true. There is a gym next door that could be used for an additional 10 Euros a day. Quite an oversight!!
brian from uk”
delightful old style hotel but in no means run down , first class service from the staff . location was great just a stroll from the city centre , have already recommended this hotel to friends.
Clean hotel, Good Value and Good Location”
Clean and comfortable hotel, located near the Danube river, fairly close to the Opera. Good value.
Shirt and honest review.”
Very good location close to the centre. Good breakfast (didnt try any other meals). Rooms are ok, but nothing special. No iron and/or iron board. Had to ask for the kettle as there was no in the room. Parking €25/day is on high side I think. Overall it is place for the night ot two, but no facilities for longer stay.
Have just spent three nights at the Stefanie and I can't recommend it enough. It's in a great location, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly and our room was perfect for a short stay. Must also mention the buffet breakfast which was excellent.
excellent service,very friendly staff . ”
My husband was very ill.Our plane was a late evening flight. We may stay in the room the whole day. They gave him fresh fruit.THATS SERVICE. THANKS!!!Brigitte Boer-Wien from Holland
Beautiful hotel with a rich history ”
The room was spacious and it even had two tv's. Felt luxurious. Huge value for our money.
Good in parts”
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hotel had character and charm, the location was perfect, a few minutes walk from the Stephansdom but away from the hustle and bustle and in an interesting multicultural neighbourhood. It was a walk or short tram/metro journey away from all the city's main galleries and other attractions. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was good if fairly ordinary in character but we did not eat dinner in the hotel because there was nothing attractive on the menu. The service was adequate but did not stand out. There was an occasion when the fire alarm went off early in the morning by accident: when this happened, there was very little attempt by staff to gather people together in the lobby and no apology or explanation was given. This was, we felt, disappointing. Overall verdict: good in parts.
Thanks for a splendid stay.”
Top notch service along with helpful and friendly staff. Well done!
Pleasant stay in a historical hotel”
My only slight criticism of the hotel is the reliability & speed of internet connection. The WiFi would drop in and out especially in my room. It worked well in the public area of the hotel such as the restaurant. Also, I found my bed to be extremely firm (hard) - it took two nights to get used to sleeping on it! Everything else was great - the proximity to the city centre (if you are prepared to walk), public transport is close by, restaurants & supermarkets within easy access, a variety of foods were available at breakfast time, the front of house staff were polite, friendly & provided excellent service. I would definitely recommend this hotel to couples ans solo travellers.
Terrible front desk attitude ”
The some of the staff managing the front desk is extremely rude . They should learn some manners
Friendly staff. Large room, but on the streetside a lot of noise from passing trams.. ”
Breakfast is complete. Location is very good for walking to the Innenstadt. Water for the shower in the morning is not constantly warm enough. Bar-staff is good. A really nice place to stay for a couple of days in Vienna.
Old hotel with traditional decriation ”
5 mins to U1 subway, close to river, near old town
Very impressed with the friendly service
better than expected”
One metro stop or a ten minute walk to the city centre. However it is near the river and in a more quiet neighborhood. I am not sure you would actually want to be much closer The breakfast was amazing, free champagne and in a beautiful garden. i told people that this may have been the best breakfast in Europe.
Characteristic hotel of bygone era well located ”
Our stay was OK, but the room was not pleasant at all. It was very small and needed updating. It was "tired grubby" and the carpet felt grimey. The furniture was also old and worn and they tried to fit too much of it into the room, there was no room to move about without moving the chair out of the way. However, The staff were pleasant and helpful.
A bit of Viennese heritage ”
Very good charming hotel at a good location”
I enjoyed my stay very much. Some colleagues moved out of their hotel to move into the Stefanie hotel. I highly recommend the Stefanie hotel to all who want to visit Vienna.
