オーナーの花田さんがとても良い方でした。別府のことがとても好きで、精通しており、地元の人しか行かないような場所の情報を教えてくれました。お宿では自分たちの趣味に合ったガイドマップも制作することができるサービスもあり感動しました。（手作りガイドマップ！）また、来ます！次に訪れるのが待ち遠しいです。The owner was really kind and helpful! He knows a lot of information of Beppu and Oita, and he loves the city. If you wonder where you go in Beppu he can let you know in advance because after you made a reservation, he sends the kind e-mail to every customer. ディープな別府を知れる旅”

町には美味しい料理屋さんも飲み屋さんも鄙びたローカルなワンコイン温泉も揃ってる。だから宿はシンプルにゲストハウスにしてさっさと街に出て楽しむ。これこそ旅の醍醐味。ってことを思い出させてくれる主人が営むお宿。建物自体も由緒あり、夜に宿の主や同宿の客と飲み語らえるのも楽しい時間だった。 一方通行が多いので、宿の場所と駐車場の案内にもう一工夫あれば完璧！

歴史を感じる上質な空間”

一歩入ると、誰もが声を出してしまうような光景が待っています。 The日本のようであり、トイレは最新のものだったり、畳の上に敷くのは薄い布団ではなく厚く快適で、お散歩マップがあったり、ストーリーを説明してくれたり、宿泊者に対しての心づかいが素晴らしいです。 また、利用したい宿です。

A traditional Japanese house in central Beppu”

We loved staying in this traditional Japanese guesthouse. When I booked, I had no idea that we will have the whole house to ourselves! It was an incredible experience and probably our favourite stay for our holiday in Kyushu. I wish we'd stayed much longer and not just two nights, as you can also easily explore many nearby places from Beppu by car. Sleeping on the futons on tatami was very comfortable and the location was perfect, as it was just a 2 minute walk from Starbucks and Beppu Park and just 5-10 minutes to all the restaurants and lively areas. At night it was quiet and calm. I would love to stay again, maybe next time with a few more friends!

Unique Home & Great Location”

Owner is fabulous!!! All of his recommendations paned out from food to sightseeing. Only draw back was the wind and something metal banging out side. If u r looking for unique, guest house style vs corporate hotel chain, you will love this place - it is full of charm☺️

In Bloom experience ”

We had a delightful stay at In Bloom Beppu. We were welcomed by our host, the charismatic Hanada Junya san, who introduced us to his thoughtfully restored traditional 80 year old Japanese villa in the heart of Beppu. We spent about 2 hours in relaxed conversation with Junya san, where he easily conversed in both Japanese and English. His knowledge of Beppu is superb, and he even walked us to our restaurant. We would thoroughly recommend anyone thinking of visiting Beppu to stay at In Bloom

Fantastic”

In Bloom Beppu is much more than just lodging and this has a lot to do with the host Junya-san. First it’s a real house from the 40s which is very richly decorated in the traditional Japanese style. Staying in this type of house is quite a rare opportunity in Japan where everything is constantly demolished and rebuilt. Then there is Junya-san’s passion about Beppu and sharing his knowledge of the city with his guests. He kindly showed me around for one day and also made some great recommendations. Highly recommend.

Cozy Japanese traditional house”

Beautiful traditional house in a great location within walking distance. Junya our host was charming and great fun. We had a wonderful time with him who did everything possible to make our stay memorable. It was my wife's birthday and he organised an evening for us, even bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers and we spent an unforgettable evening of Japanese rock and roll with him and his friends. 2 fantastic days in Beppu”

Fantastic experience: - great location, even for people like us that were using public transportation: in a residential area at 5 min walk from the station and very close to Beppu park (currently literally in bloom) - traditional house, with original wood, tatami mats and screens ... and spacious rooms (it does make a difference when traveling with kids), - even more importantly, an exceptional and passionate host that made our staying really special, including showing us around with his car and giving us a glimpse of spots we would have not discovered on our own. Thank you very much Jun!!!!
