Our host was most kind and friendly. When we first arrived, he took the time to talk us through the sights and eats nearby. The room was big and comfortable and very tastefully decorated too. The neighbourhood is a great place for visitors new to Taiwan to experience local life. We ate at a few local stalls nearby and the food was superb!
One night, we had run out of Taiwan dollars and had no cash to pay for our cab back to the hotel. Somehow our credit cards also failed us that day and we were unable to get any cash out. Luckily the host was kind enough to offer to pay for us first. He accepted our local currency as payment, even though it would be an inconvenience for him to change it to Taiwanese dollars. But he took it upon himself to help us - not just because he was our host but also because he is a good person. I was very touched by his kindness and deeply impressed by Taiwanese hospitality.
