Excellent Location and Good Value for London”
This is the second time that I've booked this hotel for family. It's got an excellent location at the heart of London in Holborn and it has that traditional hotel feel, which I like (as opposed to the too modern feel). Room could be bigger but nonetheless okay with the rooms we so far booked. It's got good value considering its location.
Very nice and convenient”
It is a pleasure to stay in this hotel. The location is excellent. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Room are clean and tidy. Value for money. Definitely we will stay again if we come to London. Just several minutes walk from Covent Garden station and it is very near to Holborn station to too.
Clean room, great location, value for money”
It was in a great location, with the underground just a 2 min walk away. Holborn station is also close to other popular areas, so no long travels on the underground. Hotel room was clean, although a bit small. The curtains in our room were also faulty, so we could never close it properly. Other than that, it was an excellent stay, and I would stay there again.
Location location ”
It is a very convenient hotel located right next to the Hoborn Metro station However, it is very quiet that it faced a small quiet street You can walk to convent garden in a minute to enjoy the musicals or night life there Easy to go everywhere with 2 lines intercepted in Hoborn station Unfortunately the station is not luggage friendly that I need to carry several flights of steps, like many other metro stations in London. That's not related to the hotel itself
Great location. Great hotel:)”
Myself, mum and sister stayed here for 1 night. We wanted a hotel close to the Royal Opera House, other theatres and the tube station and this hotel was the perfect location. Literally a few minutes walk away! Breaky was good (although the scrabble eggs were very milky...getting very picky here) and the hotel and rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. We booked a double room and for a small extra charge, they put in a camp bed for us which was actually very comfy. Will definitely stay here the next time we're going to some shows:)
Great Location and Staff...pricey”
Beautiful location and great staff, but at 190 a night, this is a top price in a super competitive market. We stayed as we needed the location... Needs to match a little nearer the 150 to be supremely great value... Lovely though.
Great Hotel in great location”
Down the road from Holborn tube, close to Covent Garden and the British Museum - fantastic location. Very friendly staff, bar and restaurant, fitness room all very handy and great to escape the crowds. Highly recommended
Good location and accommodation with lovely staff; but hard going to communicate at times”
Overall a good experience, but some problems with communication... At check in the extra bed that we'd paid for through Agoda was not in the room. The check in clerk suggested that we would have to pay extra, despite being shown the booking page from Agoda. The bed was put into the room, but no extra supplies were provided for tea, coffee, so we just had two cups, etc. A little sign said to call room service for fresh milk, or resupply, but when we did this, it was very difficult for the man to understand what we wanted and then he wanted to charge us for room service. All sorted at checkout and we did not pay extra and we did get some extra coffee and milk, but still only three cups. Apart from this, the stay was great and the accommodation was completely satisfactory. But, staff do need to know a bit more about their jobs, then the place would be excellent. We would stay there again, because although there were difficulties, the staff were friendly and helpful.
The location cannot be beat. Within walking distance of Covent Garden, West End theatre, National theatre, Somerset House and National Galleries, and great shopping. Staff is outstanding. Staff members went out of their way to assist me. My room was a little small, furniture is getting a little old, but the room was clean and well-laid out and more than adequate for my needs. No shower stalls, but I understand the hotel is planning major renovations soon, and shower stalls will be included. I've stayed at Kingsway twice, and most likely will stay there again on my next trip to London.
great location and staff”
Stayed for nearly a week and love the location close to everything including the underground and several local grocery stores. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was average size, very clean in the room and bathroom, small, wifi is free and good signal on 4th floor. We got a room was very quite from the street noise. Several restaurants and coffee shops locate within walking distant. Covent Garden market is about 7 minutes walk at leisure pace and Holbron underground about 5 min. Overall we had a great experience staying at the Kingsway Hall Hotel.
Good location and lovely concierges ”
Just a few blocks from covent garden it's a very nice location! They tried to give us a smaller room then we ordered at arrival by not explaining the different room types properly. It sounded like an upgrade so we took it but turned out to be a downgrade (much smaller.) We got our executive room back after seeing the room they gave us. Breakfast is overpriced but rooms are nice and clean. The style in the rooms is a bit dated - I guess it's the posh old look they are going for though. The doormen are the nicest doormen I have ever meet and elevated our experience.
Brought my friend and daughter to London for their first trip the hotel was in s great location, gorgeous room and staff so polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Only very slight thing was there was 3 of us but on 2 cups, etc and no extra pillows. But certainly didn't spoil it loved it
Location couldn't be beat. Staff was excellent. The room was nice and quite sizable by the standards of London hotels (I've stayed in plenty of closets for much higher prices). I very much enjoyed my week's stay.
This hotel was perfect for us. We went to London for shopping and a bit of sightseeing. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
Best location for theatre break in London”
Just back from a great stay at the Kingsway Hall Hotel. It is only 5 minutes from Holborn underground and about 8 minutes from Covent Garden underground. Lovely friendly staff, clean and modern hotel, easy walk to Covent Garden. This is the best hotel we have stayed in for a theatre break and not just for the location, although the fact that it is close to Euston Station (£10 taxi fare) and the undergrounds as well as the theatre district makes it pretty much perfect. We were there to celebrate our daughter's 21st and when I mentioned this to the staff in conversation there was a lovely little plate of birthday cakes in her bedroom when we returned later on. We had 2 upgraded rooms and they were well worth it. Lovely large rooms on the 6th floor looking out onto the front of the hotel. Really comfortable bed and good air con meant we slept well even during the recent heatwave. The bathroom was lovely, modern and clean with a heated towel rail so the towels were always warm, Molton Brown toiletries and a hairdryer in the bathroom. I took my own hairdryer and glad I did as the hotel ones are never quite powerful enough but fine if you have short hair. All in all we loved our stay- so much so that without hesitation we will return to this hotel for our next stay in London. Can't be beaten for location no matter where in London we will be visiting and the staff were so friendly. Fantastic hotel!
