居心地が良く、落ち着いたアットホームなホテル”
街の中心からは離れてますが、駅や街中まで無料のシャトルバスを出してくれます。 部屋はシンプルですが、バルコニーからの眺めも良く、寝心地の良いソファが最高でした。 そして、朝食には自家製のパン・ジャム・ヨーグルトを出してくれます。ジャムがとても美味しくて、酸味のあるヨーグルトにも合いました。 屋上の眺めが良い中での朝食は◎です。 滞在期間中、何度か停電がありましたが、仕方ないか！って許せるくらい、スタッフさんもホテルも居心地良かったです。 また泊まりたいです！！

Very nice hotel with a great view”
We stayed in this hotel for two nights and enjoyed it very much. The view from the rooftop bar is amazing, especially during sunset. Also they have a jacuzzi on the rooftop and a nice swimming pool in the garden. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Also, every night there is a great guide with whom you can arrange hikes in the area. The hotel is located a bit out side town, but they have a free shuttle service to bring you to town or pick you up.

A pleasant stay”
Having decided to explore Hsipaw and it’s surrounds, the property was the perfect oasis from which to escape the searing temperatures, the swimming pool being an added bonus. All staff were very friendly and keen to offer assistance to ensure that my stay was comfortable.

Nice hotel, beautiful view and clean facilities. The view comes with the slight drawback of being a bit remote from the town, but there is a free shuttle service provided that works perfectly. And there is a beautiful waterfall that can be reached in a 45-minute walk from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and generous, having arrived from Yangon with the nightbus I was able to get my room already at 6 in the morning without surcharge. There where, however, a few misunderstandings concerning tour bookings and food ordering at the restaurant, mainly due to the very basic english skills of some of the staff. Wifi did not work for me and there was also a full-day power outage, which was probably not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was fantastic, everything freshly prepared and home-made!

Best hotel with a view in Hsipaw”
The best hotel with a view in Hsipaw! Thomas the GM, a French national who speaks fluent Burmese, leads a team of local staff to offer excellent hospitality. The highlight is the view from their restaurant, overlooking a small Hsipaw village. The interior is modern but added a local touch to it. The hotel also has swimming pool for you to relax. You can also capture the panoramic view on the rooftop. Though located uphill, the hotel provides free shuttle service to downtown. They can also arrange trekking trips, if interested. Room rates are around $50-$70 Oh, try their Shan Kimchi ! I’m in love with it!

Lovely stay”
Location is a little out of town - but that’s a good thing! Lovey quiet area away from the huddle and beeps of the town, perched on a hill with great views! They have free shuttle when you need to town- super helpful Manager Thomas was the the highlight for us as he couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable Great suggestions, nice restaurant, v helpful Highly recommend this place We were there in winter and ac machines only pumped cold air so some additional heating in rooms would be good- when we mentioned this to him he actually went out and bought us a heater so I’m sure they will have this now in all their rooms

Over all, we are very happy to stay in this hotel. 1) Hope can have a hotel sign on the main road. 2) in the room we can get the hotel name card. Hope the back of the card print the location map in local language as well for taxi driver to send us back 3) parking lots wish to be in better condition

Great choice for Hsipaw”
This boutique hotel is located slightly out of town, away from the noise and traffic, as Hsipaw is on a heavily truck trafficked route. The rooms are tastefully designed and decently sized. The pool is a quiet respite from the chaos of Myanmar. Take a hike in the morning from the hotel to the Nam Touk waterfall. Only about 45 min each way. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay in Hsipaw”
After the first day at Kumudra, we decided to extend our stay. The hotel is one of the best spots, we have experienced; beautiful location, wonderful and helpful staff, great (homemade) food, amazing jacuzzi on the rooftop - we could go on... We would really recommend this spot for your stay in Hsipaw!

Disappointing”
Where to begin ... yes, the hotel is in a very beautiful location and the view is stunning, especially the sunset that can be seen from the roof top terrace. All the reviews sounded so perfect but after having stayed there for two nights, I still have mixed feelings. The rooms as such are nice and spacious but mine was really dirty, the floor covered in "I don't know what" and also the desk, window ledge and space over the bed and also some dead flies (the small ones) on the bed. When I told the staff about it, someone immediately came to sweep the floor and brush the flies off the bed but it did not really help in making the place feel cleaner. The hotel is located on a hill with farmland behind the house so insects can be expected. Still, the place was crawling with bugs and stuff, even in the rooms - I had a large spider visiting the first night and an ugly bug on my headboard. The food was nice but a lot that was on the menu was not available. While talking to the staff, I learnt that the manager was currently in Yangon; perhaps this was the reason why everything seemed to be ok on the surface but really lacking on second glance. Also, the staff seemed to be a bit lost at times, unsure of how to react or handle things. Nevertheless they were nice and helpful but that didn't change the fact that a lot of things simply didn't work well. The pool is large and clean but unfortunately there are only two lounge chairs available and no shade at all. What has to be said in favour of the place is that the Wifi was the best I have seen in Myanmar (and I've been here for quite a while), the breakfast is superb and plenty and the bed linens and towels are really clean. I don't know what to recommend to readers. Maybe when the manager is around things work smoother than they did during my stay. Generally, the staff is nice but untrained and not aware of details. For the prices they charge, I think that's a no-no. Show less

Sheer bliss”
I had the most wonderful time at Kumudra.The staff greeted me as I arrived and showed me to my room. The giant window revealed such agreat view of the town and of the swimming pool. They had a free shuttle service that took me into town, and after calling in, fetched me again. The restuarnat on the upper level has some breath taking views and fantastic food. The pizza was great, as well as having a croque monsieur with artichokes, basil, emmental cheeseand olives on the menu, making it a welcome supriseto have some delicious foreign food. They organised me abikefor the morning, and also ashared taxi backto Mandalay. I can DEFINITELY recommend this hotle and will be going back soon !

Bit of an upgrade from the norm! ”
Kumudra is a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the pool is a great bonus; the bar /restaurant is a lovely place to eat, drink or just chill with a book as the views are great and there is usually a lovely breeze up there. Two other major plus points 1) personal wifi hotspot - great idea! 2) free drop off / pick up into town whenever you want -this is great as you can enjoy being out of town but with easy access at no extra cost. The hotel is pretty new and improvements /final adjs are on going but we were really happy with our stay and would recommend if you fancy a little bit of an upgrade for a few days!

Highly recommended!”
Amazing value for money in this brand new (or renovated?) place. Very large and elegant room, with design furniture, beautiful stone floor, super high ceiling and big windows. The views are amazing indeed – watch the sun rises from the warmth of your bed, have a coffee on your balcony then a perfect breakfast on the rooftop terrace. They even had a fresh birchermuesli that made me feel like I was back in Switzerland! Easily the best hotel I have seen in that price range in Myanmar.

What a great place!”
We stayed for 2 nights at Kumudra Hill, and were absolutely amazed. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a great balcony overlooking the town and the pool, and enjoyed the breakfast on the rooftop terrace. It's no problem at all to be a bit out of the center, as they are happy to arrange free transport to/from town (just a short drive away). Thomas, the owner, did everything he could to answer our questions. All in all: a wonderful place, we would definitely stay again!
