Quite and nice place, good location, super friendly host”
I booked for 3 days and I arrived late in evening by train (around 8.30pm), after a short walk from train-station. The door was closed, but hopefully Laila phone number was visible on the entrance door. A quick call and she was there after only 5 minutes to check-in, through she had a real emergency to handle outside. She even invited me to have food and drink with her friends which made me feel like I visited my own friends.
The GH is located near the end of a very quite street (absolutely no noise there), parallel to a lively street of bars and restaurants. It is very close to night market and the beach (short walk away), and there are many places to eat and drink around.
Laila is very careful to all her customers, and do whatever she cans to make her guests have a good time. She treated me like a friend as she did to all her customers. The last day, she invited me, another guest couple with two children and her best friend to have lunch on the beach and organized the round-trip in taxi for us. We really had a good time eating and playing in water all-together on afternoon. In evening, she invited us again to have dinner in a outdoor food-court with a live band playing good music, which was a great and relaxing moment. What a memorable day! Laila friendliness is something that no 5 stars hotels will give you. I will definitely come back in her GH next time I visit Hua Hin.

Good Comfortable Stay”
Upon arrival we were told there were a couple of problems with our booking, not of our making. Laila went out of her way to accommodate us and assure a comfortable stay. The large double room was just that. It was very roomy, comfortable and everything worked. The location is great in my opinion. It's less than 10 minutes walk to/from the train station and one Soi over from Soi 80 which is packed full of restaurants and bars offering good nightlife and very reasonable food/drink prices. There's even a small clothing repair and alterations shop at one end. In about 10-15 minutes walk you can get to the main nightlife/tourist area. In the other direction, a 5 minute walk gets you to the Grand night market (great food and a variety of goods), Villa Market (international Grocery) and another 10 minutes gets you to the Market Village Mall. We're glad that we discovered Laila Food and Drink Guesthouse and the Soi 80 area. We would stay there again if the opportunity presented itself.

They have very cute cat and dogs
Location is not really good, room is very basic, there's no staff at front desk, you have to do everything yourself.

never felt more unwelcome”
room ok, bathroom ok
Took forever to find this place, the staff were very unhelpful in giving directions-find soy 80 and call again, finally found soy 80 told to check sidestreets, only found it because on our third attempt I drove down one of the sidestreets and my wife walked down the road to find it.The main attraction when booking was the fact that they have car park, this was basically non existant I had to park on the street. We were told that our room was not available to us as there had been a water leak and that all should be sorted the following day.Alternative accomadation had been organised,so we had to walk up to our alternative accomadation.I cant begin to describe this place! The following morning we were told that someone had come to repair the water leak and were trying to find the parts. As it was the songkran festival I knew this was highly unlikely We returned later in the day to be told we were to stay in the same place as the previous night. When we arrived there the cleaner informed us that until the room was paid for we weren't staying there. So we had to chase Laila up to pay for the room!!The next morning, eventually,we were told that the room still wasn't ready and that we would be staying in yet another room, this time a hotel around the corner, much much better.Having spoken to a few local people it seems that this is common practice, which means they regularly "double book" rooms! The room was ok, apart from the mosquito bites I received. We moved in on the Wednesday evening, the room was not cleaned for 3 days.During our stay Laila and her staff totally ignored us unless questioned about something and even then they were very short. As for the food here, during our stay we didn't see one customer eating or drinking. I would strongly advise NOT booking this "guesthouse"
