Clean Room, Opposite Dupleix Metro Station”
We booked this hotel when our Air BnB was cancelled by the service provider. And no regrets! Although the room was small (16sqm), it was good enough for a couple like us. The room was clean, new( I think this hotel was upgraded recently) and cosy. Plus, 1) It was opposite Dupleix metro station, very convenient. 2) As we are muslims, there was a Halal restaurant called Ferouz at the left corner of the hotel, so it was easy for us to have our meals there. There's bakeries, a fruit mart and a cafe around our hotel too. 3) It took us only 15minutes to walk to Eiffel Tower. 4) As our checkout was at 12nn and our flight was at 9.30pm, we were allowed to leave our luggages at the concierge while we continue sight-seeing. Thank you Mercure Grenelle Paris. We will back again! The Lims
Quiet surrounding amidst the strategic location”
We arrived in Paris at a not a good time for Paris Metro user going to Dupleix station as some stations going to our destination were being repaired, so we had to take the bus and walk a few meters to our hotel with our big luggages. When we arrived at our hotel at around noontime, we were not allowed to go to our room until 2pm. It was inconvenient on our part because everytime we go out to the city, we would first freshen up but this time we weren't able to do so. When we got into our room, expectedly in Paris, it is not that big and there really is no place for our luggages. The only consolation is we get to have one Evian mineral water daily and replenishment of coffee and tea. Staff were friendly and well versed in English. Eventually, Paris Metro were done with their repairs and very conveniently, used the metro wherever we want to go in Paris until we checked out.
We really had a nice view a few blocks from Eiffel tower. 15 Mins walk to Eiffel tower was the best thing with the hotel. The metro is just outside the hotel. The hotel staff was really of great help. Would definitely come back to the hotel next time we go to France.
Parisien First Timer's Review on Mercure Eiffel”
It's my first time in Paris, and I was glad I booked this hotel. I was looking for location as a no 1 priority as it was my first time in Paris, and I wanted to make sure tourist spots were nearby so that I didn't have to spend a lot on public transportation. The hotel itself scored big on location as the "Dupleix" Metro station is just right in front of the hotel. Eiffel Tower is about 10 mins walking distance away, whereas other tourist spots like Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees can be accessed from the Metro (roughly about 5 - 6 stations away from Dupleix). There are plenty of cafe's right next to the hotel and along the same boulevard, there is a McDonald's right around the corner. I was surprisingly pleased by the level of service given by the reception that day I checked-in. She gave me a map and a guide on where to go in Paris, which places to look out for, etc. Very friendly, and the hotel reception speaks English fluently. The person who works the night shift, however, has a slight problem conversing in English, but not too bad to the point where you can't understand him.
Lovely Hotel ”
Comfortable and clean hotel with nice room Staff friendly and helpful Good breakfast Greet location and closed to shopping area and restaurants
Nice well managed Value for money”
Nice hotel, good front office team to manage your requirements polite and cooperative, they even given us early check-in . Centrally located just opposite metro station and even Indian nice restaurant is near by
It was a great stay especially when this hotel was right beside the metro. We were given an Eiffel Tower view which is great, who doesn't love to wake up with Eiffel Tower view? The staff was friendly and helpful when we requested for more pillows and kettle. Overall I'll definitely be back here to stay if I'm going back to Paris again.
Nice hotel near the Paris most sightseeing spot”
It's quite nice to stay in this hotel since it's price isn't too high even in the peak season. It's location near many shops so you just not have to worried to find bar, foods, or just some complimentary to tour room. But the room wasn't so nice, and unluckily it only had one small lift! Otherwise the hotel was so clean, and the staffs are very nice and quite fluent to speak english.
Dreadful, terrible service.”
The staff were very unprofessional. The maid entered without knocking. Not enough supplies for tea making. Each day the maid took the paper cups for tea and the plastic cups for water and didn't replace them or tea supplies. Each day we would ring to request replacements and it ways each time a very frustrating drama to get replacements which they wouldn't bring to the room but we had to go down to get. Also some of my own (good quality) herbal tea bags were taken by the maid. The aircon did not work at all and the room was very hot.
Good location and convenient hotel”
Very happy with the hotel. High speed internet is a real advantage and it is free. Clean rooms and the air-conditioner is working well which is another advantage during our stay as we were blessed with very sunny days in spring in Paris.
Great loacation, hotel a bit dated”
Hotels well located opposite a metro station, so easy to travel to airport and sights in the city. Walkable to the Eiffel Tower. Area is fantastic for bars and restaurants.Staff were friendly. Hotel was clean, but rooms were very small and dated, lots of badly marked walls, in need of serious renovation. This is meant to be a 4 star hotel, so found it a bit strange they only provide cheap plastic cups in the rooms and every one is cracked. Be aware if you book a non smoking room you will be on level 3. Rooms on the front get a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower, we didn't get one, which was disappointing.
it wass great very clean and ikn the middle of ciy”
The girl at the front Kenza was amazing, sweet and kind, helpful went above and beyond to help us with directions and making our couple of days enjoyable...she gets a 10 plus an asset to the hotel for sure
great hotel and location”
The only thing I didn't like was the disposable cups. Breakfast was good and front desk staff very good. Found a great bar up the road with really good food. There was a market right outside on tge Wednesday which was very good too. Not far from the Eiffel tower and we ciuld see the top of it from our room. The hotel fulfilled my booking request for a high floor with a view. Breakfast was very good also. I would both stay here again and recommend this hotel.
Great Hotel near Eiffel”
It is a great value hotel with great location. Lots of cafes and bars. Near a MacDonalds. Helpful staff. This isn't the bigger Mercure closer to the Eiffel Tower. The rooms are small but comfortable and quiet and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable. It is very convenient to the Dupliex Metro and there's a wonderful market under the Dupliex Metro stop on Sundays and Wednesdays. It's a great place to stay to get the "feel" of the city. We stayed in Mercure Paris Tour Eiffel Grenelle while on a short 3 night stay in Paris. I found the staff to be really helpful and the sevice and friendliness second to none. The day, night and cleaning staff always had a smile and and were ready to go that eatra mile. The Hotel was very central & well suituated and access on bus, metro or walking presented no difficulty. If walking make sure you bring good shoes as there is loads to see and do. I didnt take breakfast in the hotel as I felt it was expensive, but that was my budget ! A great market just outside the door.
Interior better than exterior, comfortable rooms”
We wanted a parking space, so chose the hotel for that. Not impressed by hotel exterior at first sight, but interior and rooms quite comfortable and good position for 2 metro stations, shops and restaurants. Excellent food market held outside on 2 days a week. Breakfasts are very good and nice staff there and on the desk. Tea and coffee facilities and towelling dressing gowns in bedroom. We would certainly stay there again if in Paris with a car.
The staffs are friendly and quite helpful. There is only one small elevator that fits two people and two luggages. It is within view of the front desk and is operated by room key, thus lending to better security. Right across the street is a RER entrance but the escalator was broken. We had trouble carrying our luggages down. Therefore, we later took taxis whenever we need to move luggages. Like many other experiences in Paris, it is close to perfect but not there yet.
A minute walk to the Eiffel Tower”
I had a great time. Since this is my 2nd time to visit Paris, i spent longer hours inside the hotel as im not so in a hurry to go out to visit more places. I requested for a room on 5th floor facing the Eiffel Tower as suggested by previous travellers and my request was granted. The hotel looks a bit old but it is well maintained and clean, the receptionists are accommodating. The hotel is located just across the Dupleix Main Station.
Great location close to everthing”
the hotel itself is just an ok hotel. the staff is friendly and helpful except one of them, who didn't seem to want to help at all. but the location of the hotel is fantastic. there is a metro station right outside the hotel, the eiffel tower is less than 10 minutes away. there is also a market on wed and sun outside the hotel which i loved very much. there are also so many cafes and restaurants in the streets around the hotel. will definitely stay here again.
