It is a very reasonable price for 2 adults and 1 big child of 1 stay 2 meals .The only things to complain is the bad smelly toilet(it is not recommended for people who might not used to share public toilets and bathroom) . Dinner & breakfast were delicate and delicious

Outdoor spring experience”
I drove a long way from Nagoya to this place. It looked to me that it was within some resident area. What a country place that you can experience old Japanese style. The hotel was a bit old in terms for infrastructure and facility. Dinner was a bit disappointed but ok on breakfast. The in-door spring was so so, a normal bathing pool. There were 2 outdoor springs, 1 was a rock pool fit max for 4. Another looked like wood? not sure. But it only fit for 2 adults, may be max with 1 more child. I would like to say that it was too small if crowded. I was alone with my son and so fine to me with a quiet moment.
Thank you for coming to stay.
My inn is located in an old-fashioned Japanese countryside that takes an hour by bus from Kyoto station. So there is no urban sophisticated service and the latest comfortable facilities. The building is also an old-fashioned wooden building so there is no comfort like a comfortable building in concrete. Instead, you can enjoy the atmosphere of an old Japanese inn.
In my inn, we operate the concept of leaving old Japanese inns, so if you want urban things, we recommend other hotels in the city or a ryokan.
Since my inn is managed for Japanese people, I make the size of the room and the size of the bath according to the average Japanese size. The bath is not for one person size either. As long as you are not very tall.
I may have caused various inconvenience to you, but if you have the opportunity, please come and visit again.

The Onsen was a little ways to walk because of it's rural location...but Whats the problem with a little adventure...:).. the Onsen had great facilities and the food was wholesome if a little Repetative..and plain.. but the Miso was to die for.. You cook yourself which is really great fun if a little intimidating at first but they walk you through the process .. there are no shops near by so bring what you can like puddings ECT.. as they don't have... the Onsen baths were lovely and not over run and laying there with ❄ on my face was amazing... the rooms were plain Japanese style which I like... but warm up nicely.. really good stay.. :)

escape into the mountains”
Ohara No Sato was an absolute delight. We loved the facility, the staff and the food. The onsens were fabulous! Especially since we had the surprise of a fresh snow fall! It was wonderful. We highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to enjoy a traditional Japanese guest house and onsen. We only stayed one night but would recommend two minimum.
