Great hotel in Bay Ares”

I recently traveled to Redwood City for my nieces graduation. The Grand Bay was the perfect location for going to and from various activities during my three night stay. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this property for travelers visiting the area.

Amazing place to stay!”

The staff was so friendly when checking in and answering questions. Had a room with a lagoon view which was absolutely beautiful! Perfect distance from San Carlos, San Fransisco and Half Moon Bay! The onsite parking garage was also a huge plus! When we come back we are staying here!

I had a wonderful stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. It ended up being a bit isolated for me but if you are just looking for a place to sleep then it is wonderful!

Great option when prices are sky high on a holiday ”

About 20 miles from the coast, next to Oracle buildings. Restaurant and Cafe open. Parking $30 per day.

This is a nice hotel in a nice location, but the staff kind of confused and the do not know how to run a hotel. Their accounting is a mess. I got charged twice for the room and I had to call them three times to straighten it out. Never prepay for this hotel.

Could use some dusting”

Room was dusty; even the keurig. Glass shelf in bar had months of dust. I couldn’t believe the bartenders never took some windex and a cloth to it. Being on the bay was lovely but hotel needs some attention detail.

Not so good”

Pros: cozy and clean Cons: staff is not very helpful and responses not so fast. Parking is very very expensive cost $28. Location not so good, food and other facilities not so easy to access. Need at least 15mins driving.

Intentionally distracting upgrades”

Im pretty disappointed with my stay at the Pullman. Despite certain parts of the room being updated, it’s still clearly very old. The bathroom was not updated and was pretty dirty. Clean overall but dirty on the walls, doors, door frames. The bed also was pretty bad. There was a huge dip in the middle and a few springs poking through whatever they threw on top of the mattress. Be glad my back isn’t writing this review. All in all this was pretty disappointing for my first time in the area.

This hotel is very expensive/ There parking is $28 per night and it is not even in downtown. Their delivery food is ridiculously expensive and bad quality. I paid $4 for a 12 ounce bottle of water. I had to leave to stay in another hotel.

Lacking”

We were four and they prepared for 2. Room was sealed for COVID cleaning but there was lipstick under sink and hair on bed and fridge was dirty and very dusty furniture and cabinets and drawers.

Bad experience”

This is a DOG friendly hotel . You can hear a dog barking from another room. Very dusty . I used hair dryer and its full of dust . I have to take a shower again. I called front desk , asked them to get me a clean one . Front desk said will send house keeping to my room but no one came. After 30 min of wait at 1:30am . I called front desk again , and this time she asked me to wait for 5 min. Then she called back and say “no replacement” so I asked if i could swap it with the one in another room and she said the room are all sold out. Very unprofessional. They are not event try to send their housekeeping to come to clean it. I will not stay here again. You guy should consider staying in San Mateo downtown . It much nicer area. It only 7min north from this dirty hotel.

It’s no 4 star ”

We got here and the greeters were rude. Then in ours rooms AC didn’t work . We asked them to check it but didn’t and they said a fan would be sent to our room but nothing was brought and no room service for our . No sheets or towels were brought . I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone plus there’s not much anything around . It was a last minute pick but for a “4 star “ it really wasn’t a great stay at all.
