Stayed here before. Always enjoy it. Lively bar , good rooms, very accommodating staff. Small hiccup with room service but Tom the customer relations manager sorted this out to our satisfaction. Will be back 😊👍

Great place unless you want to sleep.....”
Great central location, great facilities(unless you are under 18 and can't use the gym/have very limited access times to the Spa). Mr Coopers restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast where the staff were exceptional. My main issue is that the whole point of a hotel is being able to sleep which was nigh on impossible at the Midland unless you put in ear plugs due to the ancient very noisy air conditioning system. As a city centre hotel you need the windows shut and rely on the air con to keep the room cool enough to sleep. here you can either have quiet or a cool room, not both. I used 2 different rooms after the first one on the fifth floor had a system that wasn't cooling the air, it just made lots of noise. A second room was offered on the third floor 327 where the noise from the system was ridiculous. If you have a problem sleeping at a Premier Inn they refund your accommodation cost, not at the Midland, where you just get an apology from reception. Not good enough Midland.

Lovely staff in the spa who were very clued in about making it the most relaxing, chilled and comfortable experience possible. I was accommodated to have my pedicure on the plint after my facial- soooo relaxing, heat pack at my neck, blanket over & eyemask to block out the light. Glorious!!!

The grandeur, location and history of the Midland Hotel sets it apart from all others. The room and facilities were of the highest order, with breakfast that has no competition. I have never stayed before but will definitely be staying again.

This is the second time we came for our gilts school reunion . We love the hotel and staff are help ”
However our rooms were not ready at 3pm and we had to wait until 4.30 pm to get in which delayed our day we were rather disappointed . We hope to come back in 2020 but would hope this wouldn’t happen again

Booked The Midland Hotel for location and because of its reputation for my mums 60th birthday. And it delivered all I wanted and more. We were giving complimentary drinks because they knew it was my mum's 60th, which was a lovely touch

This hotel is not worth the money I paid £206.00 for a standard room with breakfast which I think is very overpriced your paying for name and location but I don't think that's enough I have stayed in nicer cheaper boutique hotels I dont mind paying when worth it but his is definitely not. The breakfast is buffet style which is great as long has all the ingredients are freshly prepared and the breakfast items where definitely not up to scratch they must have been stood for quite a while you can tell when things are freshly prepared and these where not would not recommend and will not return for price we paid.

The hotel is classic in style, this doesnt mean drab by any standards. Rooms have grand high ceilings and beautiful furniture with two large double beds and a lounge area with two sofas we were more than comfortable. The spa facilities were very nice with a Himilayan Salt Sauna and Steam room. Good size hotel pool and I used the gym in the morning which had everything a person would require for an excellent workout. We had room service on the evening of our stay as a treat for my daughter and the food was excellently cooked to perfection and served promptly! Everything could do with a good shine to spruce it up but honestly, a really lovely hotel with great staff and a perfect location to explore Manchester, I will certainly return.

Room was clean and always immaculate when we returned from our day exploring the city, I just think the fact you have to pay extra to use the facilities that the hotel boasts about is a bit of a farce seeing as you are already paying premium prices for the room.

Lovely room nice and quiet, nice comfy bed. Ask for complimentary robes at reception because the spa is wonderful, lovely massage by Mia and reception were very helpful, young man helped me buy some Espa xmas gifts, I love this spa. Really good location right next to St Peters Square and tram links, 10 minutes walk from Manchester Oxford Road train station and 5 minutes from deansgate. Really comfy good sized king-size bed. Only small niggly things was that the room was quite dark (particularly the mirrors) and there weren't any plugs close to the bed or the mirror. But all in all a good stay! Would be perfect for a christmas Market / shopping getaway!

1.- Arrived before checking time (paid 20£ for an early check in); room tiny , towel rail in the bathroom was coming out from the wall. But the biggest surprise was the different and considered amount of insects in the hand towels ( if the towels were like that I can't imagine the bed) Went to reception and talked to Aurelia which was very helpful and understandable; she change us to a new room and gave us a ticket with complementary drinks 2- New room was bigger and nicer than the last one....but the room next to it was being refurbished. In the beginning we where okay with it but then the builders start working around 730 am. Every time we had a shower the water went everywhere ( something was wrong with the shower didn't stay on place) We used a glass from the mini bar , that glass was dirty and in the same place from monday till today. Its not the first time we stayed at The Midland, last time wasn't that bad....at list the service was all good ! Its a real shame

The Midland is so central. Rooms really nice. Would not recommend Mr Cooper’s the food is good but the staff in our experience were not very welcoming.
