Excellent service and pleasant room”
The hotel is undergoing a face lift but it has loads of character as all old buildings do. Breakfast was good and service staff was excellent. Room was a good size and clean. Dont expect much of a view. But otherwise, it was great. Would definitely go back again. We had wanted to tango there too as the hotel has a history of having tango dancing regularly. Unfortunately the weekend that we were there, the dance was not being held as the staff said summer months are busy times and the venue has other events being held.
Very nice quiet room. Clean and comfortable. There was a problem with the mini refrigerator not opening, but another one was supplied after several days of working on the problem. Lovely, friendly staff. Perfect location for buses, Hop On Hop Off buses and Covent Garden and the Theatre district!
A Lovely Welcome Home!”
After travelling all the way up from Civitavecchio by train over weekend it was wonderful to be welcomed so warmly at The Waldorf ! Staff from doorman , coffee shop & reception were so welcoming . Our room was a standard Queen, not a good view , but was warm, clean & felt so luxurious. Certainly felt a lot more human after a lovely warm bath & a couple of hours rest . Would highly recommend a stay at The Waldorf & my husband & myself will definitely be back !
Not great / unsafe practice”
Unsafe practice. We requested for a baby cot and they provided one without a mattress but a duvet that doesnt fit the cot (duvet too big and too soft) which is a suffocation hazard. We ended up using duvets on the floor. We tried requesting a mattress but not possible. Our room was also not cleaned for a day. We put a sign in the morning when we woke up and removed the privacy sign before we left for the day. But somehow they put a physical signage on our door separately?? When we got back at 230pm, room wasnt cleaned yet. We saw the physical signage outside our door when we went out a 2nd time at 430pm and removed before leaving. When we got back after a few hours, room wasnt cleaned and it was baby’s time to sleep already.. not sure why housekeeping would even put a physical sign on a door when clearly there was a switch button inside our room to indicate.. make no sense. There were also stairs. Room is very ordinary and cramped. Nothing luxurious for such a hotel..
The staff, in particular the bellhops, were wonderful; helpful and friendly. They were happy to share a smile and ask about your day or help with any questions or concerns. The rooms were fine, clean, acceptable. They weren’t lush but they worked for our needs. The hotel was well located for our travels - close enough to walk to many things, not far from the tube and taxis were readily available.
A Great Hotel to start our long Weekend ”
Overall Couldn't fault the hotel. We did have a minor issue with our breakfast. Theresa ( the breakfast waitress ) soon soughted things out with the chef. She was so polite and friendly. We would give 5 stars. 😁
great stay, close to attractions”
Great location near bars, pubs, restaurants, Covent garden and west end. Staff very helpful. The newly renovated rooms were a lot nicer than the older ones, tastefully furnished. Decent price for London, too.
value for money for biz guys”
the hotel location is quite nice, and cheaper than savoy, but the room is quite clean, new decorated, large bathroom, which are all my fav. the restaurant is quite large for breakfast, however its not so many choices there. if you want to see mamamia, its quite easy to access. btw, close to LSE.
Wait until the renovation is complete”
Great location; currently undergoing exterior renovations. Rooms are clean and reasonably sized. Lobby is a bit small
Nice location, but not worth the money”
Afternoon tea was amazing, but that was about it for positive feedback. The hotel felt tired, the rooms were dated, and breakfast in the morning was dry and seemed like it was sitting out for hours. For the price I'd recommend looking at a Ritz.
Stunning and luxurious”
We stayed here as a birthday gift while seeing a show in London. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff are amazing. The history of the hotel is everywhere and has been kept in top class condition. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all mod cons. Yes, it’s probably a bit more expensive than your average hotel in London, but the quality and service is worth the cost. Highly recommended first class!
Excellant stay room was very clean Staff are so polite and helpful Doorman well dressed and bowler hats are amazing lovely part to hotel Breakfast amazing great selection
Great Westend Location”
We were in London to see a show and The Waldorf is in a great location for that purpose. The staff were very friendly and made us felt welcomed. It is also within walking distance of Waterloo Train Station.
Ordered bar snack. Nothing for 40min, asked Waiter, appeared ten minutes later and obvious they had forgotten. Ordered Room Service, just a Burger, nothing after an hour. Called back ands obvious they had forgotten! Service is unacceptable, and not up to the 4 Star standard they are supposed to hold. Avoid.
good location. Staff all helpful, polite. Reception area poor and rather let the side down! Bedroom was fine, small but to be expected in London. Good newly reformed bathroom. Nice decor throughout. Breakfast good.
Good location but not as Grand as you would expect”
Choose this place as it was a good location for me close the High Court but it is also in the middle of all theaters so a lively area. Lobby was disappointing for a hotel with such a name and the lifts were even less impressive but the room was ok although I noticed some dirt stains on the bed sheets and towels. Staff was very good especially the doormen and concierge who was kind enough to send a letter to Holland free of charge.
Best Hotel in Love ndon”
Unbelievable- third visit & wouldn't stay anywhere else in London. Staff so helpful & welcoming, rooms excellent, clean & turn down service. Food beautiful. Can't praise the Waldorf Hilton London enough. Be back soon
Generally very comfortable. Only slight issue we had was that we were nearly charged for using the mini bar items, when we had actually just opened the fridge to use the fridge to store some food items. The hotel should make a note to guests of this system. Are we not meant to use the fridge? This however was quickly rectified by the hotel when we informed them. Aside from this very minor incident, I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you want to be close to Covent Garden and the theatres.
This was the last time I waste my money on a Hilton Hotel. Seriously, I have travelled and lived abroad for decades and I am DONE with this brand. Loved the location, this is why I chose this Hotel but we checked out early and lost hundreds of dollars because we hated every bit of this Hotel and we really wanted to enjoy our stay in London. ROOMS (we stayed in 2 different ones) Even the King Executive was horrible. Old, squeaky floors, bad carpet. They put us in a room on the 7th floor that had 2 windows like portholes, not much bigger than a dinner plate and one sky light. There was nothing King or Executive and this. STAFF The room wasn't ready until 4.45pm. We'd paid for the lounge and wasn't told until hours later after waiting for the room. Some were good but you can tell they had been working there and knew what they were talking about. Others were clearly training. Some had no clue, rude, slow or had no idea. We ordered room service, called when it hadn't arrived. They said 'what room are you? Then we waited, called again and they said sorry we can't read our colleagues hand writing and he's gone home, what was you order? I could go on and on but I can't be bothered. Don't stay at this horrible Hotel, you'll regret it.
Absolutely wonderful ”
If I could give extra stars I would - the staff were attentive without being obvious. The accommodation was first class & so lovely & clean. The food was excellent - cannot praise this hotel enough. Will be returning later this year !
