ほんとに快適な滞在でした。コーヒーやお茶はレセプションにお願いすれば、いつでも無料で運んでもらえます。また、ショッピングモールまで近かったので、お土産などの買いもにも楽しめました。

All was ok, maybe just a bit cold during winter time... Breakfast is nice with good options and staff is really polite and helpful

Feels like home with opulence of 5 stars ”
We stayed in December 2022 for a few days. We we on the ground floor in room 1 opposite the pool. This hotel is not too big and has the feel of home. Very clean and beautiful surroundings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only problem was there was a function outside on the Saturday and guests partied until way past the time disturbing other guests. Breakfast was lovely, there were alot of flies though by the open baked goods, even though they tried to use the fly repellent candles. I did not eat the baked goods because of this. It's close to the gautrain and the hotel shuttle collected us from the airport.

Beautiful start to our honeymoon”
Our stay at The Winston was short but sweet. This was just a stopover on our way into South Africa, and after a long flight it was a perfect place to rest our heads and have some good food and wine, and a fairly quiet weekend before driving to Kruger. The entire place, and especially our room, was very beautiful and quiet. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. We had especially great service from Paul, and we enjoyed our relaxing dinner there both nights. We would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a weekend of relaxation in Johannesburg.

A wonderful place to stay in Johannesburg ”
Very nice staff. The hotel is very comfortable and nice . It seems to be in suburb of London because of the nice rooms surrounding the swimming pool . It is very safe . Excellent breakfast and I also recommend the driver and the transport from the airport

Enjoyed our stay at the Winston. Rosebank is an up and coming area of Johannesburg and the hotel an oasis of calm. You either need a car or taxis to go most places, but none of the drives were very long. Staff was friendly and helpful. Gardens and terrace were lovely.roomswerelarge andwell appointed (although they desperately need to install a towel bar in the bath). Do Be aware though that the offered guided tour of Soweto is really a driver who will drive you to the main sites, but is not a qualified guide. We were caught out on this and disappointed at the drivers minimal knowledge that we frankly could have read in the guidebook as well.

Lovely boutique hotel, friendly and efficient staff who make your stay memorable. Jason has an excellent team with Timothy and Paul being very attentive and good waiters during our stay.

Staff were Outstanding”
This hotel was worthy of the 5 Star rating simply because of the excellent Customer Service. The spacious rooms, pool and courtyard areas were also outstanding & of 5 star quality. I think every room overlooks the pool area which is really pleasant. Jason ,the Duty Manager was exceptional with his PR .He went out of his way in assist with some personal health issues. Timothy , provided excellent service at the bar and restaurant. Unity the barista ,provided exceptional service and makes the best cappuccino in Joburg. Will stay AGAIN next time in Joburg.

Pool area is not safe for kids. There is no high chair available in the restaurant. Breakfast (included in the room price) does not correspond to the hotel level (claimed 5 stars). Staff is has generally inappropriate attitude. No warm welcome, no interest in guests. It leaves an impression the staff will be happiest if you left ASAP. Breakfast staff impolite and unprofessional. We haven't even finished our breakfast, in between the two mouthfuls, we've been handed the "tip-bill". No designated smoking area, so dining /having breakfast with kids did not leave us much choice. Staff and other guests were pretty ignorant in this respect. At the check out, after being asked about the feed back, we were interrupted in the middle of the sentence by a ringing telephone without any word of excuse or a hint that the person at the reception was at all interested in any word of the conversation we started.

We are generally a non-smoking hotel and are required to abide by the South African rules and regulations regarding smoking areas (has to be a designated area which will not affect any other non-smoking guest). While expensive, the place is awesome. Within walking distance to a huge shopping center. Will stay there again.

A wonderful small hotel”
We stayed at the Winston after a longer trip in a different country, as a way to decompress and transition back to the US. This is a very well run hotel, every aspect of our stay was well done. The staff is well trained, friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful, as are the rooms and public areas. Everything is well maintained. We enjoyed several meals here, reasonably priced, high quality and delicious. The breakfast is excellent, with a number of choices plus a buffet. The bar has a good selection and is a cozy place to enjoy time with friends. It is within easy walking distance of the train station and a number of restaurants and stores. Highly recommend this hotel.

Pretty old school lady”
I enjoyed the pretty old colonial style of the hotel. It is unfortunately surrounded by apartments & more commercial properties which detracts from its specialness.
