Boasting an East-meets-West style, Jade Hotel is nicely located in the heart of Beijing. Providing convenience for the international traveler, it's very near Beihai Park, the Imperial Palace, the Forbidden City, and Jingshan Park. Top attractions can easily be reached by foot, such as the Wangfujing Shopping Street and the famous Donghuamen Night Market. Featuring rich marble floors and a traditional Chinese decor. Each room comes comfortably appointed with all the basic amenities. The large imperial-styled restaurant serves a variety of Western and Chinese dishes and is easily accessible through the lavish lobby. Too far from subway station”
15 mins walk to subway station. If you’re a DIY traveller I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for you. 15-20 mins walk to the entrance of Tiananmen Square. No cable tv (limited channels only). Our telephone in the room wasn’t working, I had to go down to the front desk to call our tour guides. No free water, they sell it at the reception for 4RMB (found a cheaper one 5mins walk from the hotel for only 2RMB, same brand of water). We were on the 5th floor but the elevator only service until 4th. In our room, the toilet and the shower were separate so this would be a problem if you’re used to bidets.
Cheap hotel. The hotel has the basic ammenities and the location is in walking distance from many attractions. And there is small supermarkets nearby the hotel. But the hotel is not close to the subway - and the breakfast was very chinese..
Little bit far from metro. Location near a few tourist area. You can find restaurant near the hotel. The staff quite informative. In booking they said we can check in at 12, but at the day we arrived we have to wait until 2 PM.
Close to Forbidden City”
The location is very convenient because it's very near Forbidden City. The closest subway station is Dengshikou which is a couple of blocks away--it would have been a short and comfortable walk if it wasn't summer during our visit. There are nearby cheap but authentic restaurants, a supermarket with fresh produce, and convenience stores. The rooms are fine for the price and the toilets aren't really dirty--they are, however, old and it's quite visible. It's quiet and the elevators aren't busy at all. There's a very spacious lobby with lounges, where you can stay to pass time.
Smoking smell in Non-Smoking room ”
I am currently staying my first night here. The room is a lot worse than what I expected; banal, run down and plain. The condition is akin to the $10 apartment in Hong Kong while I paid $55 here per night. The worst thing is the room’s smell. It’s a non-smoking room but smoking smell is everywhere in the room especially the smell is very strong in the bathroom. I asked the staff to change the room but she said all the rooms are fully booked. I wonder if other rooms share the same conditions Avoid this place! There’re other better places in China. I have been to China 7 times and this one is the worst hotel I have ever stayed.
Great value for money”
This hotel was fantastic. The staff and facility was great. Keeping in mind this is an older hotel so plumbing could be upgraded. It was a bit hard to find at first as a jet lagged traveller, but the location was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Food marts, local restaurants are all within a few minute walk. Highly recommend, but buy the breakfast plan..
Good and good for everyyhing”
Secure and very helpfull staff but if book taxi ,but the driver told about amount in the car and price 200 to the airport ,i 'm not agree because before i know about 150 ,go to airport this is no good for guess ,tks
Not bad for a budget stay”
The location is awesome as the bus stop located just outside the alley brings you to all the main highlights in beijing. This hotel may seem hard to find at first so it is best to get a taxi from the airport and then making your way to and fro will be easy via public transport. I went there in winter (january), the room is huge, toilet is quite small but both room and toilet is clean. However, the heater does not really seem to work as it can get really cold at night. The staff at the counter is definitely not friendly at all, but you just need to get your passport photocopied and your check in done, the rest you do not have to really care anymore. Overall, i would stay again.
value for money”
they not provide mineral water at room, location its near to forbidden city and wangfujing street, easy to find the hotel. minus is the room glass still dirty after we used they dont changes to the new one.
Great Stay Here”
This is a very good hotel. We enjoyed our stay here besides its location near Wangfujing Road. Cheap and with big rooms. Wifi is very good. Staff are very helpful and speaks English well. We will definitely come back and stay here again when in Beijing. Thumbs up!
Great Hotel Nice and Clean with Everything U Need”
I loved this hotel. Its nice and clean ( China Standard ). The hotel staff spoke English, and they were very nice and helpful. Its always nice to take Google maps with you for directions to hotel, bit hard to locate.
Very Nice Hotel with everything U Need”
Hotel was initially hard to find, but once we found local bus 2 connection to subway, it was great. Hotel was clean, staff was very professional and friendly. Many other westerns were seen there while we were there. Take google maps with you.
We arrived at 2am in the morning and the staff immediately checked us in. The following day, the staff gave us directions how to go to different places we would like to visit. If you prefer to walk, the Forbidden City is 15 minutes away. Wangfujing, a shopping district, is also walking distance (or if you prefer to take the subway, it is just one station away).
Location: Very, very decent hotel for the price paid. Not located near the subway so taking a bus 2-3 stops to the subway is a must. The nearest subway is Tiananmen east, which is also Tiananmen square. Wifi: Connection at the lobby reception/ breakfast area was good. Could not get good connection in the room.
good location near from beijing landmark”
in the first time when i came, i thought it was not nice hotel, the decoration fo out side hotel is not good, like usual apartment, but when i go to the lobby, axactly is was a nice lobby , there are many restaurant, and facility, the room is comfortable and clean, with the price that i paid, it is very comfortable hotel for me. very near to the forbidden city gate, tian an men and near to east nanjing subway station. if u dont want to walk you can use bus no: 2 to the near subway station. quiet and silent, nice for sleep tight. there are many restaurant and busines center
Standard hotel accomodation at its best!”
Though the initial reception was a demerit due to failure of another website to booked me properly, I was entertained sufficiently by frontline desk staff Lydia and overturned my early apprehensions about my first day stay. The room is clean, well spaced, toilets are well provisioned, basic entertainment unit suc as tv is above average due to wall mounted lcd type. Lighting was the only problem as dim lights remain as only option, therefore, business travelers may have hard time reading their work. Furthermore, though wi-fi access are existent, expect slow and intermittent connection. Even the internet room fairs poorly to make a fast and reliable connection. Food choices seem to be a demerit as breakfast buffet runs a routine and limited to few and non complementary ranges. Though tour services are efficient, it comes with a higher price tag in comparison w/ its competitors. In general, if you prioritize value, location and english speaking staff over food selection and business services, this hotel rates among the top of its kind.
great location, good service”
We booked 7 rooms for 4 nights. Easy check-in, english speakers at front desk, foreign exchange available, bottled water for sale at reasonable cost, rooms clean, price reasonable. Rooms were a bit dark, wifi slow, one toilet door (between room and toilet) was glass, and one of our companions got a towel that yucky stuff on it. Otherwise, this was a great hotel. I won't mind checking inn again.
Hotel for good night sleep”
it is quite difficult at first to find this hotel that located in the alley. but i found it is very comfortable hotel, nice & friendly staff always offer for their help and assist us with all of our inquiries.
Great Place in Great Location”
This place is very near the forbidden city. They speak poor English, but at least we could communicate. The rooms are clean, and everything is good according to a 3-stars hotel standard. I would recommend people to stay here.
Ease of access to tourist areas, good breakfasts, ”
Very friendly (compared to people of Beijing) English speaking staff, good location, clean. The location is very near to wangfujing street, forbidden palace, tiananmen, and another good place near the former city wall that I forgot it's name. As if they have just a little bigger room, lower price and internet connection at room (not only in lobby), it would be really really perfect.
