Good budget accommodation at Jadestar”
Hotel is adjacent to Guyam, Dako and Naked Islands: Jadestar has a boat and boatsman that you can hire for a fantastic day of island hopping. We also used this service for a day trip to beautiful Bucas Grande. Sohoton Caves, the stingless jellyfish lagoon and nearby lake and caves are well worth the effort to visit. The owners were very helpful and friendly: dropping us off in town by motorbike so we could get panihapon (= tea or supper), arranging transport to our next hotel on another part of the island and inviting us to join them for the owner's birthday party, which included lechon (= roast pig). If you spend most of your time out on the islands as we did during our 3 night stay, then Jadestar is a great budget - wise option.

The place is adequately clean. It is good for travellers who are always on the go. After all, you did not go to Siargao to stay in a room for very long. It has a telly and offers towels. It has no restaurant though so you would need to go somewhere else to eat. If you can cook, they have a place where you can cook and dine facing the Pacific Ocean. It has a great view of sunrise. It also doesn't have Wi-Fi, and the reception is not that good inside the room. If you go outside the room though, the signal is stronger. It is also quite far from the place where the majority of the other resorts are so it is very quiet there. You would have to walk a few kilometers to reach the other places of interest though.

Worth it”
I love the place and the staff. Anita is very approachable. We rented the dormitory room but it’s not really that clean but it’s a good place for friends/ group to stay in. The location is so nice, located near the beach. You can rent a motorbike and drive to Cloud 9 in just 5-7 minutes.

The location is quite far and no nearby eateries or staff. So I advice that you shall get a contact of motorcab as your service. The rooms are clean and neat. It has a nice balcony. But there is no receptionist area or common area where guest can chill and stay. For quiet and private stay, I recommend this place. But if you are group of adults looking for party and getting new friends, better to look on areas on GL main road.

our stay there is nice for a budgeted beachfront resort but hopefully they would hire a staff for maintenance. like if guest needs to have something fix in their room.. even if the resort is a bit far from the restaurants and night life we find it okay to stay here..

Great Privacy”
The stay was good and they provided most of what we requested. Away from Cloud 9 and suitable for those that wants to relax. If you are into surfing, consider on renting a motorbike because this is way too far from Cloud9. I'll consider on staying here again and I miss Cesar the dog who'se visited and guard our room each day :)

Siargao for the first time”
it was okay. we have not stayed long hours in our rooms because we had scheduled activities for our day. rooms were not that standard. it's like a bahay kubo that was not made beautifully. but the aircoon was good and the place was quiet so its ok.

There are more better and cheaper place”
I selected a beach resort expecting it to be good, but I was disappointed, I could have just rented a room somewhere, anyway the tourist spots are from other places, there are more cheaper and better place to stay, I just relied in the internet/agoda to look for a place, this was our first visit. Siargao is a nice place, but things are not regulated, food and services and even tricycle rides are very expensive.

rooms are good for its price. Given us different room from the one that we booked cause the previous occupants extended their stay. Not so welcoming staff. Water is so slow in other rooms. Comfort rooms doesnt have locks. I guess thats why its cheap. Still we enjoyed our stay in Siargao.

Ate the owner is very accommodating. The place is nice because it has its own beach front and you can eat breakfast with a scenic beach view. The place is calm although it was a bit far from cloud 9 and the market and requires you to take motorcycle for transportation. The whole stay went well. This is recommended for budget travelers. You can cook your food in their kitchen and they offer utensils. Great and will consider coming back to the place. Thank you.

Found 6 cockroaches in the room. No room service. Wifi not reached our room. Not worth 2700 pesos ”
The only good thing was they provided island hopping which the boat cost 1500 pesos for 3 islands. They also have vans which we took and thought it was so expensive taking us to Land tours and cost us 4000 pesos for 3 places. overall it wasnt too good

Bait and switch”
We were told we would get a seaside beachfront cabin, like on the photo on Agoda. When we arrived we were shown to a small dingy room not on the beach. They then charged us much more to take a better windowless (except in the door) room back from the beach. The place was run down and scary. Even though there was a padlock on our bedroom door, we didn’t trust it to leave our stuff when we went out.

If your not so meticulous about the place, this is ok. Dont expect too much about the facility esp the toilet/bathroom. The owner is nice. Quite far from restaurant or place to eat but you can rent a motorcycle from them.
