Relaxing, tranquil accommodation ”

Jamberoo Resort is a lovely place approximately 15 minutes inland of Kiama. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility away from the popular tourist areas. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The bbq area and gardens were lovely. Although the resort is getting a little dated, the price is very good value for money. The new owners have plans to update the resort. We would definitely recommend Jamberoo Resort and will return to see the outcome the new owners add to it.

Great Location & Value for Money”

This resort presents value for money and is situated in great location close by to Jamberoo. On arrival the receptionist was extremely welcoming and explained about the facilities. The room was generally tidy but needed a little dusting. There was a little mould in the bathroom but generally not too bad. The BBQ and entertaining facilities were very good. The resort itself need a general sprooking up, once this is done it will be awesome.

Excellent”

We had a football team family weekend with a large group of people. We were booked in to the Jamberoo water park also for the day and the Jamberoo Resort was within 10mins drive so it was a very handy location. The room was very clean and the beds were fairly comfortable but the shower could have used a bit of mould remover. The facilities were great as we BBQ 'd regularly and the kids loved the pool. They are not great at communicating though, so don't expect a return call or email in a hurry.. Overall, for a short term stay with a group, it was great.

Been staying here for over 35 years”

My family and I would stay at this hotel when we would visit Jamberoo when I was a child. It is one of my fondest childhood memories. The hotel had an amazing pool and a games room..... and eating in the restaurant was always a special occasion! The hotel hasn't changed much - the pool is still amazing and the rooms have been renovated inside but are still the same outside (all overlooking the pool). There has been new play equipment erected for the kids and a lovely BBQ area beside the pool. The hotel also played a film for the kids after dark on a large outdoor screen which was a wonderful experience. There is no games room now unfortunately and the restaurant is closed which was disappointing. The rooms were not at all clean however I spoke to the lovely receptionist about this and she explained that she was aware of this and had recently fired the existing cleaners and new ones were about to start their contract. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly.

Newly renovated rooms in the woods. ”

A pleasant stay overall, but the hotel was lacking in activities (kids probably won't mind though with just the swimming pool :). The location is quite good, nestled in the tranquil woods, and reasonably close to Wollongong and Kiama, with many scenic routes along the way.

Fun family resort ”

We’ve stayed here with a large family group for the last 3 years and have a really good time at the resort. The kids love the pool and the addition of an outdoor movie night was great! We use the BBQ facilities for most meals and enjoy the atmosphere of eating outside surrounded by forest. Day to day cleanliness is good, but I think the resort needs some TLC. The deck chairs need a good scrub - they are full of cobwebs and branches - as did our sofa, which had stains all over it. The balcony needed a clean too. Combined with a day at Jamberoo water park, the resort is affordable and in a good location, so makes for a fun weekend away.

Adequate accom ”

We have been coming for years with a group of families as it is close to Jamberoo water park. It is set in amongst trees, the kids love the pool and there is plenty of space around the grounds and bbq area. So the experience is always pleasant as a group. But the place is very rundown. The grounds are kept neat and tidy, but the restaurant is hardly ever open, the rooms are clean (although we moved a bedside table to push beds together and found lollies and dirt/dust so decided to put the table back). But the timber is aging, some of the lamps on lamp posts are falling off, some room air conditioners drip down to balcony’s below, sliding screens get stuck (due to age?) and there is an unpleasant waft that passes over (from a septic tank?). Air con is good and beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and soap/shampoo is provided. Value for money, yes, but this is not a quality hotel. This place could be amazing with some money spent on a complete overhaul and update.

Good location but no signal”

Good location because its very close to Jamberoo Action Park but very poor cellphone signal.. wifi not working

Decent hotel”

It is an average hotel which you can spend your day in their swimming pool or having barbecue within the resort area. Definitely the room was needed to be cleaner with this price. We spotted some sticky stain on the sofa cover in my room.

Nice staff, facility was once nice but run down”

Nice size pool and playground but everything was aging and in need of urgent upkeeoing virtually no wifi and we relied on the land line to stay in touch as there was no mobile reception but the phone lines were down too. Location was great though and being close to Jamberoo action park was a bonous.

Easy ”

Easy check-in and check out. Clean with milk in fridge. Good deal on Saturday night. Recommended.

Small resort. Comfortable in winter.”

A pleasant resort-style hotel. The restaurant isn't open on week days in winter when I stayed, but apart from that, everything was just right.

Would have choose elsewhere if book earlier”

The place is actually pretty peaceful, but turns out more creepy to us as there seems to me no other guest at all. The pool is not maintained and the place seems messy (maybe cause its in the wild nature or since few people stays?) We are just glad we have a roof over our heads and a “combined single bed into double”, a place to shower. But wouldnt recommend it for people who have more options to stay at beautiful places or with more budget. we paid 112 for a night not because we couldn’d afford more but we are lack of options due to last minute booking. Glad we have a bed to rest :P Staffs there are really nice ;) There is a jamberoo lookout for sunrise viewers. Balcony doors are creeky and balcony is pretty dusty. The place need a revamp. However if you are looking for a quick rest and last minute like us, go ahead!!!

Handy when attending function not to have worry about driving. Staff were very friendly and room comfortable and clean. The bathroom fan was quite noisy which I forgot to let them know but a minor detail. Beautiful spot

Accommodating and clean ”

Very accommodating and customer service was a priority from the staff. Was nice to have a late check out offered to us. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Can’t wait to stay there again

whilst the resort was still in renovation mode, the staff were helpful and pleasant.

False advertising ”

List of amenities not true Here is a list of things that were listed as in the rooms that were not there No WiFi ( also no phone reception) No microwave No spa No sofa No DVD player No mini bar No telephone No clock radio No restaurant No bar This place has been run into the ground ,which is a shame because it could be an awesome resort . Suggestions for ower Don’t list things that are not available, it’s not fair and it just make your customers angry and disappointed. Fix up the tennis courts Provide proper WiFi Clean up around the other buildings Fix the mouldy grout in the bathrooms Tell people before they book that the restaurant is not available and that you’ll have to drive into the next town to eat . Excellent value for money and lovely location”

Got exactly what we wanted in a cheap and simple motel yet comfortable and clean. It is in a secluded location with nothing else for a while around. Grounds look beautiful but we didn't explore them much. Food at the restaurant was nice but a little expensive for what you do get. However the inside of the restaurant does look lovely. Would stay here again.

Exceptional”

Excellent accommodation, friendly staff, good facilities. Only downfall was not enough bbqs, couldn't use as most people had same idea and was lined up to use so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy that but otherwise perfect get away!!!

The resort is in fantastically beautiful spot”

The room has very average clean done - my 10 year old was very excited to found a pack of sigaretes and a lighter !
