good value for money”
We were staying in vang vieng for one night and we were very happy with the accomodation. It was a very smooth check in with clean and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helped us find our way to the activities we had booked. I would recommend this place if staying in Vang Vieng for a short time

Nice place but many things broken”
This place is nice because it’s positioned a little bit away from the night sounds of the city. At night it gets loud in Vang Vieng so this place is good for someone who wants to escape that. The only few problems were the AC wasn’t cold (at all), and the plastic thing to fix the shower head to the wall was broken. Staff were quite nice and If you are given a fully functional room it would be perfect.

Dusty road”
Although the rooms were clean and comfortable and reasonable for the money, the location was poor with a view on to a quite busy dusty road and new developments which were all noisy. The car park in front of the rooms was often full of vans to look at. I only met one staff member, on arrival, the young daughter who couldn't speak English. The restaurant out the back looked unused and dusty

Just not okay, staff doesn't care about you as a guest”
We stayed here for 5 nights since we couldn't find a better deal within our budget. The rooms are fine and big and clean BUT they never do housekeeping or replenish towels etc, they barely speak a word of English and have no regard for their guests sleeping in the morning. Every morning around 7:30-8am they start yelling to each other right outside the rooms and they have about 2-3 kids that just cry non-stop. It's woken us up every single morning. Yeah it's cheap to get a room here but you'll have to put up with all this.

Troublesome guesthouse ”
I booked a room with a mountain view but the assigned was different so I asked. Then a lady said it's full. What? On top of that the room was right next to the entrance so it was noisy from early morning to late evening and the window is facing to the reception and a path so I couldn't open a curtain all the time. So gloomy. Worst thing is that they didn't apologize, even say thank you when checked out. Dishonest.

Overpriced with extremely poor service!”
Pros: Spacious bedroom (Twin Room), mosquito net, free bottled water daily, quiet location and good internet speed. Cons: Expensive, lack of privacy due the width of curtains, no plug socket near the bed, neglected and disorganized hotel, old and dark bathroom, disinterested and uncooperative staff (non-English speaking), zero hospitality and special requests were not considered.

A True Hidden Gem. Peace & Quiet. Great Breakfast.”
The 5 Star VV guesthouse for couples, families, and singles seeking peace and quiet in a town known for its late night rowdiness. Seumsamay and his family hit all the right notes for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. No one tries harder to please every guest. Seum has honed his English skills and can even greet his Korean guests in Korean :) Here are the high points... + Breakfast included and served on the Sala attached to the building. The evolving menu is cooked to order. Eggs done right... 5 different ways with real butter and fresh, warm baguette. Muesli from Germany. Fresh, local fruit with yogurt. Enjoying a garden view mingling with other guests from Europe, Asia, and beyond. + Clean, basic guesthouse rooms. Larger than most Vang Vieng GH with big bathrooms & great hot water. New beds with soft top mattress and good pillows. No TV, thank goodness, as it would ruin the peace and quiet all their guests love. + Family rooms available with extra beds for the kids. Jammee is a sweet mix of privacy and quiet in your room, and a home-stay experience when you walk to the attached open air Sala. + Groups of women traveling together seemed to really love Jammee. Safety, cleanliness. peaceful, and only a few minutes from the action and restaurants Jammee is on it's way to the top of the GH ratings for Vang Vieng. It's a great price and excellent value for all types of travelers except perhaps partiers. I'm told real organic coffee for breakfast is on the way. Location: You can walk anywhere in the main town area in 10 min or less. Jammee is on the south side, on the way to the caves exursions. Getting There: The northern bus station which is quite a hike. Take a tuk-tuk. You'll thank me. All the drivers know Jammee. Booking: The only negative thing I heard from guests was... "Oh geezze! I wish I had booked a longer stay."

Great stay at a fantastic hotel”
Our stay at the Jammee Guesthouse was all we had hoped for and more after reading other favorable reviews before booking. This family-run hotel is in an idyllic location overlooking a family garden and with views of the mountains on several sides. There is a lovely outdoor sitting area where breakfast is served and where one can relax and enjoy the views and the peace and quiet. Having delicious omelettes and baguettes with coffee and tea on the outdoor covered deck was a treat. (There are other breakfast options available also.)Vang Vieng is full of activity, so the setting of this hotel is ideal if a person likes some peace and quiet, yet can easily access all that Vang Vieng has to offer by taking a short walk to the center of restaurants, shops, and activity. The owner and his wife are very friendly and accommodating. He can book trips on the river and transportation for moving on, which made our lives easier. We highly recommend this guest house and would stay there again.

Splendid Atmosphere”
The Jammee Guesthouse can be heartily recommended to any traveler whose purpose in visiting Vang Vieng is unrelated to the area's burgeoning and very noisy backpacker scene. Located roughly twenty minutes' walk from the town center, on the way to Tham Chang Cave (Vang Vieng's biggest in-town attraction), Jammee is beautifully located amidst limestone cliffs and peaceful fields, and while the furnishings are simple (no TV, mind you) the rooms are nice and large and - if you're lucky enough to get one on the north side - offer some great views of the surrounding countryside. The Lao and western staff create a friendly, helpful and above all homelike atmosphere, which is greatly enhanced by their slightly rotund resident gray female cat, whose lounging and strolling about are most welcome additions to the general ambience. Trips and tours of all sorts can be easily arranged right at the front desk, and the varied and generous breakfast options ensure that guests start each day well fortified for whatever they may get up to. Again, hardcore partiers are probably better off staying downtown, but for the rest of us this may well be Vang Vieng's best midrange option. I had a great time!

Relax with a lot of fun :)”
Jammee GH is an excellent place to stay. From the GH, you can easily access to the center or other sightseeing pots in Vang Vieng. The owner, husband speaks English very fluently and his wife don't, but both of them are very friendly and supportive. We, a group of 4 females really enjoyed the GH and surroundings here and decided to spend a week here, two more day longer than planned. If we come back Vang Vieng, Jammee GH will be our first choice!

Can't speak highly enough of this place”
I loved this place, so much so that I extended my stay by a few days. The bungalows are really nicely maintained and decorated (maybe a little too pink though haha) The price is very affordable and there is a real sense of trust at the guesthouse, they let you take beer and soft drink whenever you like and just trust you to write down what you have in the book there, which is really nice Vang Vieng is pretty small so location of most hotels are convenient, and Jammee is no exception.

Fantastic guesthouse, Amazing Staff, Clean, Cheap”
We have been traveling in SE Asia for 2 months and Jammee is hands down the best. It's at the quiet end of town. It's very cheap and the included breakfast is delicious with 7 different options. Cows graze occasionally out front while you eat and beautiful scenery out front as well. Great view of mountains and no surrounding buildings. The river is only a short walk down a beautiful dirt road and a scenic hike with overlook of Vang Vieng. The owner is super helpful. He helped us with all the tours and bus tickets. We even extended our stay and it was no problem. The rooms have a nice porch area and very clean sheets and plenty of towels. Free coffee, water, and tea.

Chilled Guesthouse at the end of town”
If you want a chilled stay in Vang Vieng away from all the bars and restaurants then Jammee GH is perfect. Yes it's a 10-15 min walk to the centre (depending on how fast you walk) but its a new development so the rooms are big, with lots of light and have balconys. The breakfasts aren't bad either for 10,000kip. So if you don't mind the walk (which is very safe) and you want a place to retreat after all the drinking, tubing and family guy then head for Jammee.

Good quiet location. Great value.”
We stayed here with three kids aged 8, 12 and 15 in a family room in January 2017. The Jammee Guesthouse is quiet and in a good location away from the downtown of Vang Vieng (but close enough to walk into town). We enjoyed the breakfast area downstairs which is nice to sit, drink tea and play cards. The room was big and comfortable with a nice balcony. Great value for money.

Relaxing guest house in a quiet part of town”
The guesthouse is friendly and relaxed. The bedrooms are clean and the beds big, comfortable with good linen. Breakfast is included and is good. There's free tea and coffee - help yourself and there's a fridge with beer and water where you help yourself and write what you take in the book. It's in the south of the town away from the noise and there are several good riverside restaurants 10 minutes walk from the guesthouse. Vang Vieng Resort is a 5 minute walk from the guesthouse and good to go to in the cool of the morning. It is tranquil, lush with good river views and Chang cave.

Great place & breakfast, a little far from centre”
Ever since the autorities' crackdown on the river bars and swings, Vang Vieng's centre has become very quiet and almost deserted so for the time being, there's no need to seek far-away accommodation to have a quiet night! The 15 minute walk to the center / tubing rental place was the biggest downside for us. On the flipside, if you continue down the gravel road to the next resort, you can visit a tiny, tiny cave or take a dip in the cool turqoise lagoon on their grounds (small entrance fee, wear something more than a bikini). Apart from twice daily walk to the center, we really loved Jammees! We stayed much longer than we should have, and paying with a credit card was OK. The second floor AC room was spacious, bright and we had our own balcony. A small downside was a slightly springy bed and the mosquito net wasn't big enough to reach all around the bed. Hot and cold drinking water available all day from the lobby! Unlike in Vientiane, they kept the wifi switched on throughout the night. The advertised "spa", however, was a very small dipping pool in plain view in the breakfast lounge. The water quickly turned murky because the pool was out in the open air. I never saw anyone use it. The complimentary breakfast was the best of all our budget hotels during 8 months in Asia; many menu choices, all freshly prepared and all of a hearty size! Meals enjoyed with a pretty view over the neighbouring sticky ride paddy. The rest of the eating options in Vang Vieng were disappointments, so a culinarist mecca it is not.

Basic but good”
Jammee was definitely a good place to stay. My only complaint is that the bed was insanely squeaky and generally exhibited all of the possible problems with innerspring mattresses, although not terribly uncomfortable. I wish they'd just go with foam mattresses like most of the other places I've stayed at in Asia. Although, given the option, I would certainly stay there again. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean (albeit basic). The wifi was reliable. It is kind of at the edge of town, but Vang Vieng is so small that it's not really a problem.
