Okey, but would never stay here again”
We arrived very late because our transfer got delayed, so when we arrived the hotel owner was sleeping so we had to wait outside for a while. She never checked us in and she never checked our booking or anything, she was really confused and also asked me what room number we had which I did not know because we just arrived. We also got a different room from what we booked so instead of the double beds we only got 2 bunk beds, and all rooms were full so we could not change rooms. They did not clean our room during our 4 nights stay and we did not get new towels either. The room was okey but very uncomfortable beds and it felt unsafe when my partner moved in his bed over me. The owner still was very confused about us the day after and asked our friend who he was and what room he stayed in. Also one very annoying thing was that they turned off the water and the WiFi all the time (I think to save money) but we had to go turn on the water every time we wanted a shower or even wash our hands, and also ask for the WiFi all the time which also only worked on the front yard and not in any of the rooms. In my opinion the only good thing about this place was the location. You also get a lot of mosquitoes in the room so don’t forget to wear mosquito repellent!
The place was grubby, the room smelt and it felt like being in prison due to the very small window
its O.K. it has a parking lot which is a plus when you are in el nido
Unfrendly, rude, agressive staff”
The owner turned off the AC in our room the last night without saying anything. When trying to talk to him and understand whats going on, he gets super nervous, agressive and rude and yells at me saying we owe him one night. Trying to explain him that the first night is paid through Agoda, and the rest (booked directly w them) paid in cash -directly to him- he doesnt want to listen and only calls me a lier. I have proof with our confirmation email but he doesnt want to listen or look at it, cause he knows he is wrong, but he just didnt like us and decided to punish us somehow. Impossible to have a normal discussion with him, he yells saying he is a militar and gets agressive with me, so we let it go to avoid trouble. We ended up sleeping without AC and having the worst night of our lives. So appart from not feeling safe around this kind of behaviour from the owner, the place wasnt very clean. Very low cealing. No mirror. Paper walla ans Very loud area and they have a dog barking 24/7.
Not the place accommodations for El Nido ”
Make sure you book a tour with the owner in between his karaoke session or else he will make it seem like he doesn't want you staying there any longer.
Cheap place to stay in center of town”
The walls between rooms are paper thin, so you can hear everything from next room, so its all about luck what neighbor you get if you have a quiet sleep or not. Other than that, nice staff and good location.
WARNING - Do not stay here”
So, it began with the lady taking us to the wrong from and quoting us a price 600 pesos less than what we paid for with similar accommodation. Than she didn't realize, even after I said it many times clearly, that my name was the board that we already have reservations. Of course finding out the new price we asked to cancel or reservations and switch rooms. Keep in mind we were the only people staying at the hostel. This never happened, she switched the price, she said she couldn't contact the owner, she said we owed her extra money if we are going to switch. Was completely rude and sadly I think she has dementia because she would let us into the hostel because she didn't "recognize" us. Just don't waste your time stay somewhere else and there should be plenty of options even on arrival.
avoid at all cost!!!!”
my friend and i arrived at jammers april 25,2015. our room was terrible, paper thin walls( you could hear the couple next to us snore and sneeze, only one outlit for charging your electronics, bed sheets/ pillows were old and worn and the bed was paper tin. the bathroom had stinky tap water, there was an ant infestation, and the shower drain was constantly clogging which made the entire bathroom floor a wet mess. the owners have wifi, which they only turn on once you ask, and that being said you have to sit direction beside the wifi box for it to work there was no shade, you were directly in the sun all day at the pension. no security guard out of the pension ground and in order to get to the pension it was down a dark backally. owners tried to rip is off more then once.. when booking tours/ motorbikes. they tried to charge us almost double! everyday they hounded us to see if we wanted to book with them. do not! when booking our van out of el nido, we trusted the owner who said the bus would drive us to port barton, until we reached the bus stop and we were informed that he sent us on the bus to puerto princesa and our money was gone! the only reason we stayed for a whole week was due to prepayment online, otherwise we would have left the minute we stepped foot into that place. we tried to make the best of it, but with such a disappointment with the rooms we had a tough time enjoying our trip! if you do go to the pension, go for one night and see if it's in your standards or not, because it was definitely not in ours! safe travels!
