Janna Glycel is a family friendly hotel. It is homey, comfy and price-friendly. ”
If u want a home away from ur home while in Guimaras, then stay at Janna Glycel. Our 2 days & 2 nights stay ther with my sister and 10 year old son was fun. It was like home. The room is clean, the toilet is clean as well. It has a very small beach resort at the front where my son owned for how many hours. Their staff are friendly as well. My son said he loved the place, and that matters most to me because I just want him to be comfy and happy when we travel. We will surely be back here since we failed to do the Island Hopping due to the bad weather on our day two in Guimaras.
Do not deserve 2 star rating ”
I underestimated this hotel. I thought it was just a hole in the wall kind of accomodation but boy I was so wrong. It was a mansion with lush garden and wide vicinity. Staff are very accommodating, food has very good value for money. Only cons I have is the water supply is very weak.
It's like a home away from home”
Our family was immediately taken with the place. It's very homey and quiet with garden surrounded by different flowering plants. You could barely feel the heat. Their beach front is like a cove, a bit rocky that it may not be that conducive to swimming. But that could be resolve when you go island hopping, which they could arrange for you, the nearby islands have fantastic white sand beaches. The staff and owner are very accommodating. They were very attentive to our needs and requirements. Highly recommended!
a very good choice”
a fantastic garden 100 meters from a small beach confortable rooms w AC and hot water friendly wellcome and helpfull staff can fix a boat trip at a very reasonable price, islands hoping with great swimming ad snornelling spots (the beaches on Guimaras Island are not so nice...)
Staffs are accommodating and the place is clean and beautiful, near Alubihod beach!
We stayed on this resort in our honeymoon for 4 nights, the place is very private cold ac and super friendly staff. You should have your own transpo if you will stay here as commuting is quite a challenge because of few options
Feels like staying in a hotel”
pros: the place is beach front so if you booked an island tour, the boat will be waiting right outside the gate. Cons: Location is 45 mins. from Jordan pier. breakfast not included in the room rate. My insider tip: rent a single motorcycle to go around the city to buy Guimaras mangoes, go to Trappist for cheaper pasalubong, try Mango pizza, eat their version of Batchoy, or just go sightseeing instead of renting a tricycle that will charge you P1,500 for land tour. When in Trappist, the dried mangoes there are cheaper compared to those sold at the stalls along the highway. Also, when buying souvenir shirts, the shirt quality in Trappist is better compared to those sold outside. The shirt is just a bit expensive in Trappist but has better quality. They also have a wide variety of pasalubong food items there. Island hopping is available and can be done in just half of a day. We booked at the resort for P500 for the first hour and additional P100 for add
A GEM found at Guimaras!”
Jannah Glycel Beach House was a GEM! Its staff truly emulates the real Filipino hospitality at its best. The front desk and kitchen staff are incredibly efficient. The grounds are beautiful with rare tropical flowers and plants. The beach at the back of the property is soothing, quiet and private. The front GATE infront is Tall which provides a sense of security. I was told there were dogs but DID NOT hear them at all, but I LOVED dogs especially guard dogs:). The only cons, the shower was not working (no hot shower, not flowing at night time), but still made me smile ---back to a pail with a "tabo" (dipper) --- old school bathing:) The bathroom is nicely decorated with bamboo. Ahhh, I already miss this place, but a long way from California, USA where I lived. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED place. I will go back again to them in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for the great accommodation Janna Glycel Beach House. JD, San Diego, CA, USA
Superb Customer Service”
I really find the place relaxing and clean. The rooms are spacious and fully airconditioned. There's a mini fridge, a cabinet for clothes and a side table. There's a hot and cold shower although the water at the bathroom needs improvement especially at day time plus our room has a mini seating area with a nice view. You can just seat there and feel the cool breeze at night. The breakfast is not included but you can order at the restaurant. The food is not that expensive but with good amount of servings. They can also arrange your island hopping tour and will gladly assist you with your needs. The owners are nice and Ate Janice the caretaker is very accommodating. Plus it is not that expensive compare to other resorts. My son also loves their dogs. They are very friendly and cute. The only downside is it's quite far from other establishments but if you want a secluded place and some peace and quiet this is the right one for you.
bring some money for your walk to alubihod beach. youll pass by a few restaurants and stores
value for money”
use their beach in the morning or when the tide is high.
Place is good!”
The place was great. It was comfortable, feels like home. Staffs were very accommodating.
Cozy and uber nice”
We were blown away. The room was so spacious and tidy. There was a terrace for every room which was nice if you wanted chill or eat outside your room. The garden before reaching the shore of the beach was so serene as well. The beach wasn’t really the best for swimming especially in low tide but when high tide comes in, the waters were pretty crystal clear. A must try is their island hopping package. The staff were very accommodating especially the receptionist. The only thing I didn’t like is that the shower in our room didn’t work but that’s just a minor thing. Also, there are big dogs around the property. They were pretty friendly and I even petted them but just be cautious. Overall, pretty great and you’d get value for what you paid for.
The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was also very clean and comfortable to move inside because of its spacious area. The price is very affordable and the owner & staff very accommodating. Easy to book the Island Hopping arranged by Jannah Glycel itself. 1 hour ride going back to Jordan Port. We had a great stay at Jannah Glycel Beach House and don't forget to try the floating cottage (also the seafoods they are offering) just in front of the beach but not part of Jannah Glycel.
Easy to find 'cause it is just beside the road. Accessible to tricycle pick up. Friendly and accommodating staff. Laid back view. Beach is just in front of the resort. Cozy ambiance. Will choose to stay in this place when I get back to Guimaras.
No water, No fridge”
The receptionist is friendly and the room is clean but quite disappointing since the room we booked includes a fridge and water bottles but then the room provided didn't have it!What's more frustrating? NO WATER IN THE CR!! We couldn't get any help because they were closed already(not 24hrs). We asked them the next morning, they closed the main control of their water system because it was leaking( tsk)
Such a nice hotel! But the beach is so-so.”
The Deluxe Room is just a perfect! TV, mini fridge and terrace with a sitting area (ground floor). The staff is so friendly and helpful. You can book tours right at the hotel. The minus of this hotel is not a very good beach. I don't understand why they will not clean it? But a 10-minute walk is the excellent beach of Alubihod. And keep in mind that the hotel have 4 big watchdogs, which walks at night through the hotel's territory. But it all it's a very nice place to stay. Be sure to try the island hopping tour!
With a very affordable price, the experience was just awesome. The room was clean, spacious, and comfy. The bathroom is also clean with both hot and cold shower. Ms. Jannis, the receptionist, was always ready to help. The resort restaurant provided a good food with reasonable price. Beware of four labradors who roam around the house, but for dog-lovers, they are just adorable. While it is true that the beach in front of the resort was not for swimming, but we could walk to other parts of the beach. Don't forget also to ask the receptionist about the Island Hoping package (again with affordable price) and experience also the floating seafood restaurant nearby (again with reasonable price).
The hotel was so good and clean. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. But the beach is not that too good to swim. I never got the chance to swim on their beach. but still you can hop on to the neighbor resort so u can swim. Me and my boyfriend enjoy so much and most of all they had great food. The price is not that economical but its worth it.
Jannah Glycel Resort”
location is too far from town proper but its where all other accomodations are located i think jannah glycel has nearer than others.after all beds are too comfortable to sleep on. staffs are so accomodating and friendly. views from the hotel is so nice and place is clean and quiet.
