Very nice Thai style hotel with nice staffs”
The resort is very nice Thai style building build from new wood with a large area. You will feel like you go back to the past of Thailand when you stay here. Their staffs are very nice and willing to help you. But, the room's wall is not keep the sound, so you can here the sound from nearby room if they made lound noise. The resort is a little bit far from Amphawa market and the road to the resort is quite dark at night.
Lovely Resort and good service”
The resort is quite far from attractive place like Amphawa Floating Market. It's quite inconvenience if you don't have car. By the way , the resort is very comfortable and peaceful. The room has good decoration. I think it was a such relax time to stay there. Moreover, there is good activity in the morning. The food is good. But it would be better if they could provide us more choice
Authentic Thai culture with a smile”
Book this place for a night of rest after the driving trip from Phnom Penh. Was expecting a charming Thai hospitality. Certainly got that plus more - the place itself lends the true Thai abode of peace and tranquility. The rooms are spacious and having wood panels and cleaniliness bowl me over. Only drawback for a lite sleeper of me - the early mroning (dawn) temple chant. I could use some sleep over but there is nothing more to do when that started.
Accomodating Friendly Staff”
We chose to stay at the Jaroenrat Resort because we wanted to go clamming at Don Hoi Lot. But this resort is actually a little out of the way. If we decide to go back to Don Hoi Lot, we'll probably select a hotel in Amphawa. Nonetheless, we had a very enjoyable stay and we did find clams at Don Hoi Lot and the manager was so kind to have them cleaned and prepared them for us to eat for breakfast the following day! The kids absolutely loved it. Did not get a chance to make it out to the pool because there is actually quite a lot of things to see in Samut Songkhram. Went to the night market in Amphawa and also stopped by to take a closer look at the many salt farms in the area. Beds were not very comfortable though.
A nice comfortable stay with friendly staff”
Traditional old Thai design which we found very quaint and inviting. We upgraded our room on arrival for the extra space of a Villa which are very good value for money. Food is good and the Chef who speaks good English is happy to cook things not on the menu given notice. The reception staff are very friendly and efficient and again speak English. Facilities round the pool could be better, for examole there are no cushions on the loungers which is uncomfortable. BEWARE THE MONKS AT DAWN! The local temple can be a bit noisy welcoming in the new day (lasts 1 hour) Well worth a visit though but a car is a MUST.
Lovely hotel with nice surroundings”
We arrived late as we drove from Vientiane and unfortunately, we could not locate the hotel and finally, the hotel sent their staff to direct us. Hotel is lovely especially surroundings, peaceful, quiet with friendly staff and helpful staff. Standard room is a little small but well equipped and clean. Am sure the deluxe rooms are much bigger. Location is near several floating markets and the reknowned railway market. My kids love the resort and we will re-visit again. Excellent choice for family with kids
Found this on the net through Agoda and what a great choice. The staff were extremely helpful. We couldn't find the resort initially so telephoned and was guided in. Check-in was simple and the standard rooms are quite basic but clean and comfortable. The outside cottages look stunning and will definitely return and stay in one of these. If you are thinking of visiting this area try this place, you won't regret it. On the downside the breakfast was not up to much for a westerner.
When arrived at hotel I found my reservation had being cancelled (this was due to booking agent not hotel)The hotel rebooked the rooms (at agents discounted price)no problem The grounds are well keep and the kids love the pool stying in it until 11.00mevert night,The staff very friendly and very helpful, will return to this hotel year. You need transport to stay here as it a bit of away from the town/
Nice service with nice environment”
The hotel look really nice and nice big garden. The reception is very friendly. However i book with Agoda for Villa room. When i arrive there, reception gave standard room for us and mention that already inform to Agoda. and Agoda will return money but Agoda doing nothing about this.
Nice thaistyle Hotel”
Our small home (villa) was on the lobbyside and so far away from the pool area that was quite crowdy at weekend. Within the week the hotel is near empty and perfect for relaxing. But you need to have a car if you want do sightseeing, shopping or other things. Ahh...and the house keeping don´t like much dirt in the bin. (yes, I understand what you talk ;-) )
Good atmosphere but far from amphawa”
good room but should be provide more activities there because of far from amphawa recommend boat tour to amphawa bicycle and boat service breakfast is badly no choice to choose no orange juice etc signage in the resort not clear properly
Nice resort with friendly and helpful staff”
good experience with reception staff and they were helpful to arrange for outside resort services, e.g. boat trip to see fire flies, etc..... rooms are clean and they are fair in term of adding extra bed. will consider to return.

Great traditional Thai hotel”
Lovely and lonely hotel”
Very nice resort in the field. A paradise where you don't expect it.
Nice resort and great environment”
Resort is great and lovely even is small room but it's worth for money. Staff is nice
Waken up at 5 a.m. by monk preaching nearby!!”
We appreciated the resort for its cleanliness, Thai style pavilions, pool, and calm atmosphere during daytime. But at 5 a.m. we were waken up by a monk preaching at the nearby temple. He was preaching out loud with amplifiers for whole area to wake up and listen to him until 7 a.m.!!! The breakfast buffet was cold and needed improvement. The dinner was so so. We was the only clients and the personals just wanted to finish the service and go home. My daughter forgot her favorite soft toy in the pavilion and they never find it.
Only for Self-driving hotel guests”
Stayed on Friday and Saturday night. No buffet on Saturday morning as only 6 guests from 2 rooms, including ourselves. Hotelmprovide America breskfast and Thai porridge for Asian guests. Milk, juice, hot beverages and toasts ard free flow. However there was buffet breakfast on Sunday as there were over 30 guests who stayed one night on Sat. There were fried rice, fried noodles, friend vegetables wuth pork, fried eggs, chicken sausages and fruits. Hotel not suitable for foreign guests if there are no local Thai friends to drive there. Do attempt to arrive after 6pm or else one may get lost in the dark roads after 7pm as the hotel is located in a coconut plantation. However, hotel is good for someone who just wish to do nothing and swim. The river is at the rear of the hotel. I was lucky to see for the first time a pair of Bird of Paradise bird flying above the swimming pool in the evening. Their nest is probably near the hotel.
a great location”
A little off the beaten track is the Jaroenrat Resort. This is the third time I have been there so know my way now but for the first timer a little more difficult. If you call them whilst your en-route they will direct you in like we did the first time. Everything here is new, the standard of accomodation is OK but not to European standards and the frinish has a lot be be desired but if you are looking for traditional Thai accomodation then this is the place. Previously we had two adjoining houses which are seperate to the right as you walk in. This time we had a room in the main block. Their is quite a lot that could be done to make it that bit special but maybe they will get there in the end but I don't think the Western traveller is really their market. Breakfast is traditional Thai breakfast, nothing going on at all except for toast for the Westerner. All in all a nicely kept resort right on the river, well kept, clean and tidy with a lovely swimming pool area too. If you are looking to relax and chill out thyen this is the place.
