Good overall but a couple of negatives.
The bed wasn't very comfortable and too bouncy. I felt that the included breakfast was too stingy. I would have liked to start with a juice ,have the main then finish with a coffee. Perhaps we are too used to overseas hotels.

Alright, but not worth the hype.
Clean, tidy and great location. I heard theyd recently undergone a 7 million dollar renovation, and the photos looked lovely and worth the cost of the room. however it seemed that money was only spent on the first 3 floors of the building. Despite what the website says there is a gym in the property, however it only consists of a bike and rowing machine inside what seems to be a convertered supply closet. The wifi was terrible and I found their internet extremely slow. I would recommend loading your phone up with data and using it as a hot spot. They also advertised that airport transfers were available. However when I enquired I was given instructions on how to catch a bus and a tram to the hotel. Given the city runs off "mykis", as an out of towner this was a bit of an inconvenience. On a lighter note, the room was clean and tidy - despite a bit of wearing of furniture. The food at the jasper kitchen was lovely, and the staff were polite.

Great location but hotel simply not value for money
I can't deny that the location of this hotel is prime. It's near QVM, tram station and 7/11 etc. But the state of the hotel is simply not up to par to it's 8 rating. The room is satisfactory if not bad; dirty windows, carpet with visible dirt and the toilet is 'meh'.

Great location!
Queen Victoria Market is just next door. A few minutes walk to the city center. Many great eating places just a few doors away.
