Poorly maintained place”
The place is strategically located in the heart of the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the place sadly lacks maintenance. The hallways are dirty, the elevators are non operational, the drains are clogged, some rooms smell badly.
when your in a tight budget and just need a sleep over bed. this is good. but if your an fussy. this place definitely not for you environmeny (creepy, old building) room space was big enough for solo all in all its a creepy room for me 😂 staff was nice 🤓 room price was nice also for overnight
do not book”
do not book this, save yourself the hassle and stress
Place was near downtown. Hard to find and you have to look for the name carefully as you are passing. If we were not using Waze we would not have known we arrived. As we were going up to the place, it looked dirty and smelled already. The receptionist did not look professional although he was friendly and said that we could check out the rooms first as we were having second thoughts about staying the night. We checked out the rooms and they did not look like they did on the photos. The place was dark and low lighted in the room. I know it was cheap and that’s probably the value for money but I stayed in cheaper rooms in Manila but they did not look like the ones here. No pictures of the bathroom was shown but it did not look clean. We booked 2 rooms as we were on a family trip and wanted to stay overnight and head back to Iloilo next day. We decided not to stay there and leave but my uncle, his wife and mother in law (all senior citizens) were tired and bunkered for the night. Me and the rest left and looked for another place to stay the night which happened to be just within walking distance. 1 room was not used at all but we decided to just leave it as it was non refundable. More photos should have been posted with regards to the facilities. I’ve booked with agoda a lot of times already for the same priced rooms and those I rebooked on another stay. But this one, I would definitely stay out of.
the smell , toilet and room is dirty. even for a 500 a night, it;s not worth it. We had to cancel and transfer to another hotel. They should not name this as a pension house. it's more like a dorm/ hostel.
The worst hotel ‼︎”
The room is old and dirty, hot water is broken, it does not go out, water leakage, clogging of drainage, breakdown of the cooler, breakdown of the elevator, a lot of cockroaches and rats are in the room.
It was the most filthy hotel i have ever been. Will never go back there”
Rusty faucet, toilet so dirty , water is brown , bed sheets are dusty, and towels are not clean.... Everything not good.we arrived late at night so we didnot have a choice but to stay overnight. we did not sleep bec our neighbor room was noisy. We checked out in the morning though we paid for 3 nights. And booked to other hotel. We could not stand the sight and smell of the room. Pictures are decieving at your site. Will never never recommend this place to anybody. We did not even mention to anyone that we stayed in that hotel.
Disgusting, broken down, dishonest and unprofessional ”
DO NOT stay here. The property is full of broken windows, broken door handles and the bed was covered in human excrement. There was also something else disgusting in the dresser drawer which I won't mention specifically. The staff lied to Agoda when I canceled the booking. It's the worst place I have ever seen listed. It should be removed.
you get what you paid for. were not expecting much from this hotel since the price is less. if you are looking for a place just to sleep and not choosy of the facilities, how it looks, then this is okay. location is near market, stores, plaza, jeepney routes, across is a bank as well. very accessible.
This is the worst hotel l have ever stayed in, the only good think about this hotel is the location, the a/c was so noisy that l had to turn it off so l could sleep, the bed was very old and dirty with a big dip in the middle like a hammock , the room and the bathroom was so dirty that l wouldn't walk on the floor without footwear, the room was also very noisy , the staff were very ordinary and the room had a very bad smell like cat urine , stayed there one night and found a very nice Pension just around the corner for very little extra , avoid this hotel , you would be better sleeping on the street, and of course no hot water , the photos all look good, but the hotel isn't,
Creepy worst accomodation”
I traveled many times but this is the worst i ever seen ... super baho ng mga unan ang creepy ng place at barado ang shower at toilet pag naligo ka babaha hanggang kwarto.. wag na wag nyo subukan mag pabook dito mag sisisi kayo
If on a strict-budget and if you'd like a fear-factor experience. ”
I just needed to leave my bags for overnight. I didn't sleep here but I did rest for an hour or two. Aircon is well and functioning. Room is spacious and okay but it obviously need repairs here and there. I encountered a small rat in the bathroom and later on a roach on the floor of the room. Maybe the other rooms are better than what I had?????
location was very good all the rest was a horror no wifi or tv but dirty and toilet was not working insect everywhere better sleep under the bridge....
excellent location, near public market, accessible area for jeepneys and establishments, room is abit creepy, no maintenance on bathroom, remote control for tv is not working, no remote control for the cable,
You get what you pay for”
At a minimal value, you get a place to rest with good ventilation and mattresses. However, I think, just because it is cheap, the management can slack down on maintenance. :( The comfort room was not pleasant at all. Yellow water flow first for a few seconds from the faucet every time you turn it on. There were stains of dirt in the bowl and tiles, things you prevent with a good maintenance.
Cheap but still not worth it”
Yes the place is super cheap but even for the price, the place isnt worth it. The only nice thing is the friendly receptionist. When we arrived they told us to go to our room. Upon inspection the room was really worn down. Aircon was broken and it smelled really old. That wasnt an issue though. The issue is that they dont clean their rooms. There were still trash left behind by the previous guests in our closet. They clearly didn't change the sheets too cus it smelled like it hasnt been washed in months and when i tried sleeping on it, a cockroach crawled near my face. Yeah for 600+ there are better places to stay at.
We are seasoned travellers and my missus was born in Bacolod. The building has seen better days and lacks maintenance. Having said this, it is dirt cheap and suited us because it is bang in the middle of town, walking distance to the market and SM. Shower/toilet and power all worked. If you are used to the Hilton or Marriott this place is not for you but if a backpacker its spot on. Welcome to real life in Philippines!
The good thing is its location, for most of the jeepney routes pass by or near this area. The building has an old creepy feeling to it. I happen to encounter a cat-sized mouse while i was going up the stairs. If you won't mind these things, this is pretty advisable as it was walking distance to sm bacolod, manokan country, and san sebastian cathedral.
The place is very bad in all aspect, dark alleys, dirty facilities, smelly rooms, unhygienic! ”
Im not expecting anything grand about the place, but i also did not expect that itbwould be so bad. Upon checking in, we checked out as fast as we can after seeing the overall appearance and status of the property. The staffs are somewhat accomodating but the bed, pillows, bedsheets, comfort room and the entire room itself are smelly and dirty. Security is also an issue, i have nothing against old buildings as long as it is well maintained, what are those half full aquariums with no fish and all doing in the hallway anyway? It adds more to the creepiness of the whole place.
Value For Money:Recommended For Overnight Stay At The Most”
Value for money since price is cheap.Tolerable for overnight stay at the most.Room has air conditioning and cable TV with several channels but no phone.Good location since it is in the downtown area. Not advisable if you're going to go out or come in late at night since surrounding area is almost deserted and one gets the impression of not being safe.Pension House though has CCTV and has glass door to easily see who comes and goes.Just don't just expect acceptable facilities though since price is cheaper than the average pension house.Facilities are functional but not well maintained. Rooms are not sound proofed so expect lots of noise until bedtime.Btw,bring your own toiletries because the pension house does not provide basic toiletries such as tissue, soap & shampoo. If your main and only concern is a roof to stay on for the night on a lesser budget notwithstanding comfort, then this pension house is for you.
