Location, food, full moon”
Had a great stay at Jaya Guesthouse for full moon. Booked a fan room but immediately moved to an air con as so hot. Staff are lovely and friendly. 5min walk from pier (ferry from Koh Samui) and 5min walk to the gorgeous Haad rin beach where full moon party is. 7eleven around the corner and lots of restaurants near by. Food served here is very well priced and yummy- ate here most of the time. Wifi doesn't work in rooms only in restaurant area- when lots of people are on it doesn't work well. Fun, social atmosphere but not too crazy. Free pool was fun and free neon painting was great before full moon. Would recommend and stay again!

Incredible location, the owners (Eddie and Anthony) are the biggest babes, best party hostel in the area and a short walk to Haad Rin (party beach). We were there as 7 nights over New Years and will always remember as the best time of my life. Go go go!!!

Highly recommend - Eddie is the best!”
This was the second time I'd stayed here. The location is great, 10 minute walk to Haad Rin (full moon) beach. The rooms are pretty basic, although I prefer the 20 bed dorm upstairs to downstairs as it seemed more spacious! The common area isn't all that but we would go the restaurant instead which has good food and cheap alcohol (which is always good)! Warm showers, and towels on arrival. I was actually ill when I last went and Eddie gave me my own room for free! I would recommend!

Nice for the price. ”
The staff was the best part of our stay, they were very helpful. The room was good for the money paid. It was a party hostel leading up to the Full Moon party with lots of fun people around to socialize with. The room was fairly loud when the nearby bars were pumping sound - bring earplugs if you want to go to sleep early or if you sleep lightly. The wifi is slow if more than a couple people are using it. We had one quite large cockroach appear in our shower for a day. Otherwise it was clean and bug free. We would stay here again.

Party hostel”
We stayed here during the full moon party (which made it a bit too expensive for what you get in our opinion). The location was perfect, 10 minute walk to the beach and quieter than the main roads. Big, clean room (with a very big balcony), but the bathroom furniture is made of metal and all rusted, and I cut myself the first day. However, they fixed this immediately and they cleaned my wound. The staff at the bar is also very friendly, and the food is cheap and good. Just remember that this is a party hostel and there will be loud music every night (and way past midnight, unlike what they told us when we checked in).

Full moon ”
We were there for the full moon party, it was a perfect location, yes we paid a bit more than usual but that's standard for the full moon time. Eddie was great helpful and friendly, it's a shame the restaurant staff weren't the same, they needed to at least crack a smile every so often! But don't let that stop you from staying at Jaya :)

Passable”
Cheaper than most places in the area for full moon party. Staff were excellent. Not much of a communal area just a restaurant and pool table. Restaurant was cheap and good service, would stay again because the price and its far enough from the beach that its less busy at nights

Expected but unexpected ”
It was a pleasant stay for me and my friend, very fun as parties were held in the hotel. Although the sheets were clearly not changed, as when we arrived there was lipstick and foundation on all pillow cases.

Great choise for FMP”
Its really dirty but cheap, at a great location and with a great lobby restaurant with a free pool table so easy to meet people. Free body paint at the full moon and cheap buckets. Good food at the restaurant. Had hot water but the room is old and dirty so get yourself prepared. Only for party people.

Great location for full moon (but don't expect to sleep all week!) and very sociable which was great. But seriously the photos are so misleading, it was really grubby and clearly they were taken a VERY long time ago. I paid a fair bit for a private room, and there were wires hanging out of the ceiling, a hole from where a light switch was missing & a light not working, no window (!) and cracks and holes in everything and really poor basic stuff like no proper mirror, plug sockets you couldn't reach etc and the wifi is basically non-existent so when you're trying to organise meeting up with people or make travel plans it's pretty much impossible. Great atmosphere for full moon and nice cheap buckets at the bar, but seriously not sure why this place has such a high rating

Location is good...got upgraded from a 20 bed to a 12 bed which was awesome. I had a migraine but if you don't have a migraine it's fun cuz there's music blasting outside til like 2am. Not the cleanest but it will suffice if you need a decent place to stay.

Parfait si tu veux faire le party pour le full moon. Les soirée avant les party c tres fun et ne coute pas cher a l'auberge. La musique joue fort jusqua minuit minumum. Les lit sont sale et il y a jamais de savon au toilette.

Bien situé, nourriture bonne mais chère et wifi complétement alternatif. Le gérant a toujours le sourire, mais comme souvent en Thailande, tout est rapport à l'argent. Bon séjour malgrè tout. Surement un des hotel les moins cher de la Full moon.

Abscheulich ”
Waren zur Fullmoon Session dort. Zu dieser Zeit war Stimmung im Hostel. Man ist sehr zentral zum Strand, Party, Kneipen usw Aber: Das Hostel an sich ist die reinste Katastrophe. Unser Zimmer lag am angrenzenden Tümpel. Wir hatten daher schimmelig, feuchte Wände und alles stank modrig. Ameisen und Moskitos waren Dauergäste in unserem Zimmer. Wenn es stark regnete, hat es auch von der Decke getropft und der Putz ist mit runter gefallen. Die Betten waren von Beginn an dreckig. Man hatte generell den Eindruck, dass Zimmer gehört mal wieder richtig geputzt. ( abgerissen) Wir hatten ein 2 Bett Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad. Dieses musste jedoch nicht nur unter den Hostel Gästen, sondern auch den Gästen des Restaurants geteilt werden. Klopapier hat ständig gefehlt. In unseren 6 Tagen Aufenthalt haben wir nicht einmal gesehen, dass die Toilette / Dusche geputzt wurde. An manchen Abenden mussten somit 2 Toiletten /Duschen mit gut 100 Leuten geteilt werden. Waren auch nur zum Party machen in dem Hostel und haben wirklich keinen Komfort erwartet. Aber eine gewisse Standart Hygiene muss vorhanden sein! Absolut nicht empfehlenswert
