As some might have mentioned, the hotel is located a little out of the way for foreign tourists, however for locals with automobiles, the distance to the usual tourist attractions is within reasonable reach. Although the nearest MRT station is a long walk, there is a train station nearby that can thereby link up to the Main Rail Station where all sorts of transportation is available. As for the hotel itself, while it is by no means a new building, it appears as though they have made recent efforts to renovate. Most importantly, everything is clean and all the usual amenities are available. An all-Chinese-style vegetarian breakfast is available, as is complementary parking. For the price paid, it is an excellent value, especially compared to any other developed countries.

Everything's old”
Probably once a luxurious hotel. But it was never updated and remodeled. The overall feel of the room was that of eerie 1970s atmosphere. The interior of the rooms were never replaced with newer or modern fixtures. Everything is worn out. However, the good side of the hotel is that they have ample parking spaces just beside the hotel building (which of no use to foreign visitors). Breakfast was purely vegetarian.

Big comfortable rooms”
Location is good with restaurant within walking distance, the room are a suprise to me, big nad very well layout, walkin are, TV area, writing desk and toilet, all very comfortable, the only down side is there is no wireless wifi in the room, so iphone and ipad are death over in the hotel room.

OK to stay with reasonable price. Room size is about right and quite new interiors seems newly renovated. Breakfast has variety choices of food. Just the location is less convenient but easy to go on taxi.

Jen Dow was so-so for the price.”
No soap given for the bathroom vanity. When asked, the staff said to use the bath/shampoo dispenser which was locked and affixed to the shower unit. Really bizarre that they have so many amenities, but a simple piece of soap isn't issued throughout all their hotel rooms. Other than that, it was worth the $30 stay. Lots of tourist buses come in like herds, so there may be a correlation...

Cheap but very rundown; hotel seriously need renovation. ”
I did not have much good impression of the staff as they don't seem to be bothered and attentive. The room's furnishing is very dated but clean. The first step into the hotel room was fine but the bathroom is very rundown and seemed like falling apart. The shower and toilet taps are all leaking and the shower produces very little hot water that my children keep shivering while I bathe them since the temperature in Taiwan dips. It is really a lesson for me that I should have paid a little more for quad room in boutique hotels with nicer room facilities that staying here. In terms of locations, it is not convenient for travellers who wanted to rely on MTR. I will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone as it was a nightmare for us even for a night stay.

Not a place I’d recommend ”
It’s not convenient, needs a lot of updating, the breakfast was quite bad. The staff tried to be helpful but it was a huge disappointment, being rated as 4 stars. I’d say it’s more of a 2-3 star property. I made a bad judgment on this one.
