jerusalem Garden Hotel better than expected”
our stay at this hotel exceeded expectations. It was truly great value for the money. The breakfast buffett was excellent with great breads and salads. The staff is very friendly and helpful and does not excude the feeling, experienced in some venues, that "I expect to be tipped." In fact on several occassions when we offered staff members a tip because we appreciated the efforts made on our behalf, they refused to accept. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the mattresses were excellent. The only less than perfect aspect, we feel, is that the towels are a bit scrawny and that there were no washclothes provided.

Expensive for a Solo Senior”
At almost $100USD per night, it is a lot of money for a Senior Citizen traveling solo. Breakfast was high at 20€ for breads, cheese and salads - and all sorts of stuff that I couldn't begin to figure out what they might be. There were no signs. I'm used to European hotel breakfasts with deli style sliced meats. If you subtract out ham and pork sausages, having just cold deli style sliced Turkey would have suited me fine. The nice chef that operated the Omelette Grill was a very important fixture, as the buffet scrambled eggs were made with milk - which doesn't work for me. UBER is pretty expensive, but part of that is due to being away from the through street. Short walk to the bus, however, figure out how to get your Bus fares paid for ahead of time. I wanted to ask the front desk, but they were either busy or away. Some hotels actually sell - or give away - one day bus fares! 10-minute walk to Cinema City, which was convenient for food, haircut, snacks, UBER connections.

Comfortable and Convenient”
It is centrally located. The beds were comfortable. It was clean. Towels were fresh. Great value. Breakfast was plentiful, free wifi and a great pool. Will come again in March.

Disappointing”
Jerusalem is a wonderful destination with a plethora of sights, experiences and things to do. The hotel however dampened this experience. A long way from the center and the promised parking is almost non existent. The hotel was overcrowded and noisy making the full Israeli buffet breakfast not pleasant with the dining staff insufficient. Other staff tried hard to be helpful. There is nowhere to sit in the hotel grounds or around the pool and the photos do not resemble the reality. Perhaps better not to visit during festival seasons. The beds however good !

The tram makes it a good location if traveling to the Old City. ”
The tram made it nice if you are interested in seeing the Old City in that it is less than 15 minutes away. (45 minute walk/10 minutes by cab). Tram does not run on the Shabath (Saturday). Room was small. We were told it was an upgrade which did not make sense since it wasn’t anything special. There was an electrical problem which maintenance worked on close to 35 minutes and did not get fixed but gave us an extension cord that temporarily fixed the problem. Did not come back the next two days of our stay as promised. Had a nice visit with one oof the cleaning staff. Nice person. The room was clean but the support railing in the bath tub was loose.

Good”
Overall good stay. Purchased breakfast option. Not the best breakfast for kids, no syrup for the pancakes and blintzes, lots of different cheeses; decent variety but not the best things for a non-adventurous kid or someone allergic to dairy. Regardless, I would stay again and recommend because location is good, short light rail ride to markets near Mercaz HaRav and a community for a decent price.

noisy highway and a view of the bus station, the food was cold and not fresh”
we asked for one bed and got 2 separate ones, asked for a quiet room and got a room with access to a noisy highway and a view of the bus station. At breakfast the food was cold and not fresh and tastelessly cooked.

Nice room, Poor service, awful food.”
Our room was spacious and comfortable. On the other hand, despite the fact that our reservation was clearly for a couple, our room was set up for only one person. There was only one bath towel, one glass, one blanket, etc.. Even after complaining about it, it took them a very long time to fix the issue. Also, when we tried to call the front desk, we just got put on muzak for 5 minutes. We then gave up and went down to the front desk to talk to them. After our first complaint, we found a stack of 3 hand-towels outside our door. It's unclear how that was supposed to fix the issue. Eventually, after we complained again, they fixed things. The food was seriously sub-par. It felt like I was eating someone's leftovers. In particular, the fish was very dry, and the "fresh" fruit in the desert area, was mostly rotten. Parking is seriously limited. If you're coming with a car, be prepared for chaos.

The service is unbelievably poor”
Places with mildew in the room. Still have shower curtains which were torn. Asked the reception and called for it to be fixed 6 times no one showed up at all. Breakfast thy used the same salads for minimum 3 days. One good thing about this place is the spa and pool. Few times called to ask questions from the staff from my car they ignored me. It is like a puzzle to reach it by car.

First trip to Jerusalem destroyed by terrible service”
This hotel was a bad choice. We took the option for the location and images and some reviews- the location is great it’s near the tram and a short walk to the main travel stations (train and bus). It was terrible because it was like entering a time warp to an old time; the old and dirty chewing stained carpets didn’t help us, the dirty glazed furniture and walls, the bed stained with urine and spots of blood and even a dead insect! Then customer service was lacking - each receptionist had a different trait from chewing their lunch in full view, rude presentation and no sense of professionalism when it comes to anything - we regret staying there.

Surprised ”
The furniture was worn, but useable. Many steps to get inside then to elevator. (All stone steps). Sleeping room very small no room for even a chair. Two twin beds. During a 4 day stay sheets never changed. Breakfast buffet plentiful but dining room loud chaotic. Elevator strangely numbered floors. Also elevators small barely fit luggage car and two people. Scrambled Eggs gross.

horrific experience ”
the room was filthy, the sheets were dirty. the tram outside was disturbing, the doors slamming woke us up 5 times during the night. and on top of all, to find a mosquito inside the glass on the counter wasn't a joyful thing at all. used water in the pot. and the worst breakfast i have ever had. thanks for an awful experience.
