No good solo traveller.”
The staff were friendly and professional. There needs to be more etiquette in the dinning area from other guest. The food needs to be better quality. This hotel is fine if you want a cheap group accomodation -I would not recommend for a solo traveller.
horrible experience ”
the staff shouts rude comments in the morning while sleeping. they knock on your door at 6 am to change towels. i had breakfast but no one advised me that i did. the rooms are very small very minimal furniture. completely different than the pictures.
Nice hotel, good food. ”
The room was simple and nice.
2 Stars Only”
Pretty average hotel, old and not very clean. Acceptable if priced accordingly. Breakfast ok but not as good as others. Small elevators. NO complimentary transportation as was indicated. Location good if need bus to parts of Israel.
Perfect to sleep”
Not upscale. Gets busy when large groups check in as the elevators can only take 6 at a time. Room was simple with 2 twin beds, 2 arm chairs and a desk and a flat screen TV. If you pay the rack room rate you will not be getting a good deal. Definitely look for a discount.
Very good service”
my husband was very happy to know that he could attend all the minyanim at the hotel without going outside. it was convenient to be near the central bus station and the center one mall. the front desk staff were very helpful in answering all our questions. the breakfasts were very good.
Great location, very near Central Bus Station, ”
Jerusalem Gate Hotel, is situated at a very convenient location. Its near the Central Bus Station where u can travel around Israel on your own by asking information at the bus station's information counter. The Bus Tour around Jerusalem picks u up in front of the Central Bus station. The hotel staff are friendly n they clean up the room daily.
very handy location ”
Lively hotel. Lots of people in and out and family festivities going on. Pleasant room. TV sound bad. Could only get a handful of chanels and only the spanish one had a clearer sound but still not as it should be. Breakfast was plentiful.
Jerusalem Gate Hotel,”
The hotel is value for the money. On the west enter of the Jerusalem, offers good transportation and sightseeing points. Great breakfast is served early from 6:30 AM so you can go to sightseein very early. In the hotel is shoping center with food court that offers a very good choises of menues.
Jerusalem Gate Hotel”
every thing was ok his hotel is the ultimate place to stay in bangkok. its five star service and accomodation in every respect. agoda has special rates and its the best value for money in bangkok. the rooms are huge and well appointed with great views. the sirucco restaurant on the 64th floor is excellent although over expensive.
This place was a fabulous deal for what we paid. The staff were friendly, it was clean, and the lobby was gorgeous. Breakfast was very nice with lots of options. Our bathroom needed a little work but was clean, and it might just have been our specific room. There are a synagogue and a men's mikveh right there in the building.
Exactly what i was looking for!”
I took a chance with this hotel based on what i read online and i did not regret it. You have access to center one mall through the lobby and the bus station was so close. My daughters school was within walking distance too. I was pleased and for the price i paid i would certainly stay there again.
pleased return customer”
This hotel is one of the best in Jerusalem in terms of parkin, location and close-by shopping . The only problem is the stairs between the parking lot and the lobby.
An old, dirty and dusty motel”
Old dusty and gross rooms. Not cleaned- bad linens were not washed and there was hair in the shower. After our complaint we were moved to what they defined as a suit- which was just a larger room with reasonable cleanliness.
Bad customer service”
I reserved a deluxe room and it was a room in front of the elevator hall. It was filthy with a red mold on the bathtub. In addition, it was very noisy when other guests were drinking at the hall. I tried to complain but I couldn't because the reception didn't appear on the phone at all. So I couldn't sleep until dawn. I tried to deal with myself because there was no choice but the noisy people didn’t stop. The next day, the hotel promised me to change the room through Agoda, when I told the reception of the hotel to change the room, the reception said that she don't know agoda and didn't change the room. Naturally the phone didn’t connect to the reception at midnight, so I also had a sleepless night in a filthy and noisy room This hotel is the worst hotel with good location only, all services are lowest, not keeping promises.
Bad experience with jerusalem gate”
We had to do a premature check out of the hotel. We are also filing a case to be reimbursed for our prepaid reservation. This hotel should not be rated more than 2 star. The rooms are filthy and carpets have a moldy smell. The central AC system also carries the moldy smell. My wife has asthma and the smell aggregated the situation. We complained at the front desk, they gave us another room but had the same problem. The issue iwas with the central AC system. The front desk staff were trying their best to help and they were very polite. However the situation involved my wife's health and we had to make the best decision. I contacted the hotel customer service manager and explained the situation.
nice hotel in great location, but surly employees”
our stay was pleasant. the room was nice and clean. comfortable beds, water cooker with tea and coffee in the room. but blankets smelled, and bathroom door was jammed. the employees in the hotel were about the most unfriendly i ever met. when i wished the woman in the dining room a good day, i actually saw her struggle to refrain from smiling. it seemed as if an enemy nation was doing its best to prevent the hotel from propsering and maybe that is what was happening.
Not a great hotel”
We have just returned from the Jerusalem Gate Hotel , having been in Jerusalem to run in the marathon. The hotel was good for location generally , & the cost of a taxi into the city cent centre is around 50 shekels, the main bus station is right next door. The room we where given was very small, and although it was cleaned everyday the room & the hotel has a feeling of being very tired. Every night in the hotel whilst we stayed, there was a Jewish orthodox wedding , & the impression that we have is that this is were the hotel makes it's money & was more concerned about the nightly functions than any tourists staying at the hotel. The breakfast , althought eatable , was not the best, & only got worse as the week went on. There is a bar on the first floor, but we had to keep asking reception in the evening could someone open the bar so we could have a drink before eating, the bar is very limited & not very welcoming . I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, & would certainly not be going back
Great location but dated furnishings”
The hotel lobby looks fairly grand. The room, in contrast, is basic. There is no desk or chair available, which makes doing some work inconvenient. There is a small shopping center at he basement, with a few restaurants that open till late, which are popular which the local crowd as well. Great location: within walking distance to the international convention center.
i didnt wonder for what i paid & it was one of the cheapest in israel. tel aviv would be better to stay & lots of choices. the receptionist was hopeful & let me checkin early. the breakfast was very poor & the staff as rude. the room service, mini bar.. this is almost as B&B than hotel.
