Great Experience”
We only stayed one night in warwick after visitin nuwara eliya in the morning. The hotel is arround 45' from nuwara eliya. The location in a valley between tea plantations is amazing you can take a walk by the surrondigs very nice. The hotel is a scottish house with just 5 rooms and are perefct. The bathroo. Was huge and very clean. From this hotel you have pretty close (30') the train station of ambewella which you can take the train to Ella. Very nice journey. The dinner was the best meal we had in sri lanka by far and the experience to be in such a nice hotel in the middle of tea plantation was unforgetable.

Exquisite special treat”
Warwick Gardens is a beautiful, old, stately homestead. I have never stayed in such an exquisitely renovated and decorated hotel. My stay here was a dream come true. I had a huge master bedroom with ensuite and views to the garden and hills beyond. Relaxing in the sunny garden is a lovely way to spend a few hours. The food was exceptional, plus there is a very nice wine list. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I wish I had been able to stay here much longer but they were booked out for the next few nights. The manager went out of his way, and made many phone calls, to ensure I had forwarding accommodation. Warwick Gardens deserves its outstanding reputation, I can not speak highly enough of this beautiful hotel and the wonderful staff.

Beautiful place, lovely friendly staff”
Warwick gardens sits in a spectacular setting with views to die for out of every window. It's very tranquil and very beautiful, and the staff are just very pleasant people who do their best to ensure you enjoy your stay. I was lucky enough to watch the chef prepare Sri Lankan meals each night we were there, which gave me a great sense of the local cuisine. And Faris, the manager, seems to run the hotel with a great deal of kindness to the local wildlife, some of which have become very tame as a result! All the guests can dine together, which in our case meant that we met some really interesting people. This was a very different stay from some anonymous hotel room, memorable for all the right reasons.

Great hotel, wonderful location”
this truly is a wonderful property. surrounded by working tea plantations and tea picking villages. warwick gardens is a great destination. the food was great and service was wonderful. however it was a little disappointing that the hotel took no care to make simple train arrangements for our onward journey. also, with this hotel being so secluded and peaceful, you can be very unlucky like we were and have fellow guests who are a nightmare. a group of 6 young religious students with very little respect for their surroundings was utterly inappropriate for the setting. more could be done by the hotel to ensure traveller's expectations are representative of the experience on offer.

Fantastic Retreat”
This is a fantastic retreat away from any hustle and bustle. Definitely the highlight of our tour of Sri Lanka. The service is impeccable and highly responsive. It helps that the bungalow can only have a few guests, which means much of the service feels very personal. Food was great although I would personally have preferred my curry a little spicier, though apparently it suited my wife's taste. The only downside was the location could only be reached through a very rough access road. This caused a bit of concern for our driver who was worried about the expense of new shock absorbers. Otherwise we're very confident that this is the best location in Nuwara Eliya

live like the owner of a tea plantation”
This is a restoration of a house built for the owner of a tea plantation, and the old factory (now disused) is perched higher up the hill behind the house. There is a lovely garden, and they grow a lot of their own vegetables. The friendly manager of the hotel, Faris, is very informative about the building and the surroundings; and has devised various walks in the area - so allow enough time for your visit. There are only five bedrooms, and dinner is at a communal table in the original dining room - good for sharing travel experiences. If you are planning a visit to Horton Plains and World's End, early morning is supposed to give you the best chance of seeing the views (before the clouds roll in) and the hotel will make you a picnic breakfast. My only complaint is that meals and refreshments are all in addition to the fairly steep price, whereas at the similar Tea Trails planters' bungalows the extras are all included. (And note: if you are approaching from Nuwara Eliya, take the A5 Badulla road and turn off at Keppetipola - the route via Elk Plains and Ambewela station is scenic but much more tortuous).

A little peace of heaven in the hills ”
The manor is beautiful but needs a bit of an upgrade in terms of cleanliness and facilities however the staff were amazing and hosted is with so much love and care.... everything was natural in terms of cuisine and had either been harvested or grown in the surrounding area but there wasn't much choice or variety. The road to get there is not well constructed and is a bit stressful late in the night as it goes around a hill and is very narrow. Otherwise it was very pleasant and was a breath of fresh air. Would definitely stay here again if I come to Nuwara Eliya

A step back in time - blissful isolation...”
we stayed for one night in late august and enjoyed clear skies and daytime temps of 18 degrees. the old house was a joy to behold and the room was spotlessly clean, with roman blinds, an old fashioned bathtub and no tv/ phones to be found anywhere. a great place to relax and unwind, with the added bonus of a fruit & veg garden on the property, resulting in the freshest food we have ever tasted.

Very very good. Not for people who addicted to their smart phones.”
This is a beautifully maintained property. An old tea bungalow converted into a boutique hotel. A very good place to go and unplug from the digital world. Especially as mobile signals are very limited up in the hills. It's not a normal type hotel so don't expect coffee shops and restaurants. They have a resident cook/chef to whom you give your order and it will be prepared and served for you. You get a taste for how the old colonial plantation owners lived.

Great for relaxation and honeymooners and couples”
Amazing stay, a lifetime experience. This hotel was built 130 years ago, the management did a great renovation, it's a classic english styly.you can feel the warmth in the walls the minute u walk in. The staff treat you like one of thier family which was great. Highly recommended for couples and small families becuase the location is far away from the city noise.

Lovely hotel with excellent service ”
We really enjoyed this hotel though the location is very far in and remote. It's a 15 mins drive along a mountainous road but truly worth it. We had half board which includes dinner- BBQ grill and salad , soup and fresh vegetables from their very owned farm! The people are so friendly.

Dangerous road”
I booked 4 nights but i only stayed for 1 night. The reason was that we wanted to go out during the day but the road from and to the hotel is really dangerous driving on a narrow muddy cliff type of road

Exclusive aspect but maybe a bit too expensive”
Beautiful house, friendly staff, good food and wine!, however just a little bit far from downtown but the exclusive aspect compensate. We were a bit disappointed at the beggining as we get lost and couldn't find the hotel and no one was picking up the phone there....And another negative pount was the hot water which was really inconsistent which is quite annoying when it is only 15c outside.....

Hidden Gem”
Colonial style house hidden in the valley, set amongst a small village. Ideal getaway for couples or those wanting a base to hike to Worlds End. The staff are super helpful and great food. Best stay in the hill country.
