However, the floor that we stayed in (5th and top floor) has a very bad odour which I think derived from fouled decorative wall materials. The smell was so bad that even with full blast of air conditioning and a dedicated air ionizer, it wouldn't go away and actually got worse over time. We had to open the window and turn the air-con on high all night just to manage. I believe the management knows about it too and have placed a high capacity air ionizer / freshener in each room. Unfortunately, that still can't remove the smell. We have switched to and tried another two rooms, but the smell is the same. I suspect the entire hotel has the same problem with all guest rooms! Other than the smell, the hotel is actually very nicely decorated with good modern facilities. The staff are helpful and nice. The rooms and restaurant are nicely decorated and comfortable. Unfortunately, because of the really strong bad smell, I won't be returning to this hotel in the near future. Perhaps, one day in the very far future when the bad smell is gone ...

The greetree hotel (hangzhou) really give me a big surprise when i enter in the room afte check in. clean and tidy, bright, the room amenties also very considerate. By the way , for those who want to enjoy west lake, it is really a good choice considering the cheap price and location. The green tree hotel is just 4kms away from west lake(10 mins by taxi)

Let's start saying i booked this Hotel in a rush and I thought it was a Crowne Plaza... No need to say that I felt very disappointed when I got there. The hotel was ment to be a 4 stars, it was not even close to a 3 stars. It was dirty and I would have changed if it wasn't for the fact it was right where I needed it to be( close to the highway to shanghai).

I booked an eight night stay at this hotel. Honestly, I didnt expect it to be as good as it was. Was pleasantly surprised at how helpful and polite the staff were. Communication in English might be a problem, especially room service. if you get connected to someone who speaks English in the hotel, they won't mind forwarding your room service orders to the kitchen. Communication in English might be a problem, especially room service. if you get connected to someone who speaks English in the hotel, they won't mind forwarding your room service orders to the kitchen. Polite, helpful and hardworking staff. beautiful rooms, well kept and clean. amenities were excellent.

The hotel is clean even though it is a bit old and there is a new wing which I have not stay. I would like to recommend to people who like to buy whole sale good to stay in this hotel. This hotel room is cheap but it don't look like a budget hotel at all. For the next trip I would like to stay there again. The trip to town centre is only short distance away with cab.

I have stayed in many Hotels in many parts of China. Never have encountered such problems. First I made my reservation and paid on Agoda. They not only could not find the reservation, they said they had never heard of Agoda. They kept trying to get me to pay full price for a room and asking if I wanted to pay cash or credit card. They not only could not find the reservation, they said they had never heard of Agoda. They kept trying to get me to pay full price for a room and asking if I wanted to pay cash or credit card. I showed them the email and receipt and they said I must have been cheated. I had someone interpreting so that was not the issue. It wasn't until after I asked to speak to the manager several times that they finally called them. I had to become quite loud but it took about 40 minutes to check-in. Finally without an apology or anything they gave us the room. The rooms were spacious and clean enough. There was no hot water the whole time (barely warm) and no Wifi. I tried to get a taxi to the Train Station. They said there wasn't one. I just laughed and flagged a Taxi down myself. It was not a pleasant experience and the service was below par for a Chinese Hotel or any hotel any place. Breakfast is over at 9am which is too early after long travel. Just plain unhospitable in my experience.

Find very inconvenient during my stay as the authority is constructing the Subway for train just right in front of the hotel.. I think for me will stay away that area for a years ?? Not easy to get a cab as the road condition . Room and hotel is run down and need to refurbishing . For the value u spend make another choice I will share .

The hotel condition itself seems to be older and a bit less maintained looking from the outside but the inside was just fine. The staff didn't speak English at all but we were able to communicate using a translator on our intelligent phone. The downside is being a long walk from the subway station (20 minutes). The hotel is also located at a very busy intersection but at least we couldn't hear the traffic noises when inside our room. There isn't much to the neighbourhood but there a still a few local markets, restaurants and cafes scattered around. We didn't mind being away from the city so much since the room was so comfortable and since the cost of the room was so cheap. Definitely great value for your money!

Went during the G20 period when the entire city of Hangzhou was pretty much shut down due to the excessive security checks in place. With not many people left in the city, even the hotel felt pretty dead, not just in terms of how quiet it is but also the lackluster staff who couldn't really be bothered with the 1 or 2 guests who strolled in.

Horrible stay. Selected the hotel as it was close to Hangzhou east Railway station but sshoudk say had a horrible stay . The temperature outside was 6• C and there was no heat in the hotel . after repeated and desperate call to front desk and house keeping we received a message that the heating system does not work . The hotel is very smoking friendly with people smoking everywhere, including in rooms and lobby. So if you are not a smoker, you will struggle. Noisy guests and staff shouting from early till late. Just one person at the reception spoke English. The hotel was mostly Chinese travelers who get drunk and loud every night
