Tiny Rooms with Lovely Design and Everything You Need
The rooms are very small but carefully designed to look nice and include everything you need. The location is decent but not exceptionally close to an MRT station. I have stayed here before and would consider it again.

Vintage hostel in a most interesting neighbourhood, close to Ningxia Night market
The hostel has a long history, so do the neighborhood where it's located. The hostel is designed with a strong vintage flare, but the facilities such as the shower are modern so no need to worry about this. There are two laundry places and many convenience stores nearby. The hostel is also conveniently located near my favorite night market - Ningxia night market! I think it's the most delicious night market in the whole city;) The staffs here are helpful and responsive which made our stay even more pleasant. But do note that there is no lift in the hotel, but the staff here would help carry the luggage up and downstairs. Would recommend this hotel to travelers who like vintage and historical buildings, and those who are keen to explore the non-touristy side of Taipei.

Very friendly staff; Good for travellers with small luggages
1) Very impressive with the service and attitude of staff - from very quick answers by emails before the trip to very attentive service to our needs during our stay; 2) There is no lift in the hotel so travellers with big/heavy luggages may need to take note on this; 3) Close to Ningxia Night Market with very delicious street food; 4) Two MRT stops from Taipei Station and then a 10-minute walk to the hotel - good for those who like quietness in some old streets but bad for those who like going back to the hotel room for many times during one day.

好喜歡這一區啊! really like this area!
I stayed in a single bed room for one night, and I enjoy the facility. It would be perfect if I could switch off all lights on bed, as it's a bunk bed near the ceiling. A bedside cabinet with a switch is convenient for smartphone charging, very thoughtful. I got everything in a small room, quite suitable for few day stay and for people who would like to explore Dadaocheng Area. Overall, I enjoyed this stay!

Nice frontdesk
Nice service from frontdesk but the cleaniness of the room needs improvement indeed! The covers of the cushions really need cleaning throughoutly.

Acceptable
I travelled with an elderly and to our dismay, there is no basic room facility like a phone in the room in which we could dial to request hotel staff for assistance! The room assigned to us was located at 4th storey and each time when we needed assistance, we literally have to walk down to level 1 to approach front desk staff for simple request such as replenishing the bottled drinking water, and attending to technical issues encountered in the TV sets. Being a seasoned traveler, this is TOTALLY unacceptable! How could a room NOT be equipped with a phone set when room occupant needed it most??? What then is constituted as basic room amenities in hotel context??

Wonderful trip with comfortable stay
The room is very unique and good. Room size not so big but cozy. The only problem is bath location make the ground wet after shower. If the TV monitor can be rotated will be better as sofa is big enough for lazy sitting.
